This beautiful property is a less than 5 minute walk to the beach, plus there are tons of dining options right next door. The reserved seats on the beach were so convenient. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, with a beautiful ocean view. I would definitely stay here again.

hotels .com said parking available arrival found out only valet at $55 a night. allowed 2 beach lounge chairs but charge $30 for a umbrella (told it was a luxury). room service spoke little english had to ask several times for items not replaced in the room. Took a shower after the beach and found no soap in the container.do not stay on the south east corner area as music down stairs will wake you up and Friday/Saturday night music went until 4am.For the price of the room not worth it many other choices to stay

Location is great and the ocean view from the room was amazing. Room was big and clean. We didn't use the pool, but a walk to the beach is just 2 minutes. Check-in was smooth, the staff were friendly and helpful. There are a few bars and cafes very close, as well as parks. Very walkable area if you enjoy walking along the beach. Keep in mind there's only valet parking option available at the hotel for $55/night.

The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. From the front desk, to cleaning staff to restaurant were all great. The property is a great location, close to the beach, some restaurants and shops in area within walking distance. It’s also close to a big mall and about 20 monure drive to the inter Miami stadium. The pool area was always clean and great temperature. Small thing but gym equipment needed to be updated/ fixed but not a big deal.

It was ok. Staff is great but hotel is a bit tired. Hallways were dark and rooms were meh. Was there for one night and restaurants nearby that were within walking distance felt like they were trying to cling to spring break in the 80s. Pool is very small. No parking so they gouge you for nearly $60 a night which is criminal. Then as I’m leaving I see public parking behind the hotel. $50ish resort fee. Wish I knew this up front I would have gone somewhere else. Gentlemen at hotel bar was very friendly and I did enjoy the kale Cesar salad with shrimp.

Overpriced rooms. Check in took forever. Many people were being told their rooms were not ready, even up to 7pm for some. Bathroom vent was hanging when we entered. Had to stand on toilet to push back in. AC didn't work and temp never went down below 75 degrees. Gym was mediocre at best

Hotel was very clean, nice small lobby and great service. Pool area very small and definitely not a resort vibe. The $46 daily resort fee did not seem to apply. Valet parking ( no other parking available) is daily rate $55 plus tax which is extremely expensive. Property was good however due to valet fee and “resort “ Fee I will not stay here again. Location is great - across the beach . 2 chairs available per room but no umbrella.

Loved the hotel itself. The room was big and nicely decorated. Nice big window one looking the beach. The bed was really comfortable and you could walk to lots of places. The bathroom was nice and big, HOWEVER this is my only complaint and negative comment about the hotel…..there was mould in the bathroom shower all over the ceiling. The grout was filthy and could have also been mould it was hard to tell. Also half of the grout was gone, cracked off

A wonderful experience, family friendly, with a welcoming and professional staff. The lobby is modern and the tone is relaxing. The room was spotless and the bed very comfortable. Location is ideal, right across the beach and within walking distance to shops and restaurants. I appreciated the on-site restaurant and bar. We’ll definitely be returning on our next trip.

Outside front door seating - cushions had holes & very dirty, repairs needed. Cleaning of rooms was very slow. One day our room didn’t even get cleaned. Same no. of all size towels & face cloths were never replenished daily in the same count as our 1st checked-in day, had to find housekeeping cart each day to get no. of towels/facecloths needed. Room was cleaned fairly well when cleaned. Had to have shower knob repaired twice & safe repaired once. Was not happy that we couldn’t get late check-out, but appreciated guest pass usage of pool & beach since our flight was at 9pm. Missed having an outdoor patio/balcony off of our room; 1st hotel we’ve been in that didn’t have the balcony and we’ve stayed in many over the years!

We stayed here for a night, the front desk lady was really nice. The hotel was run down and not very clean. Resort fee cancel outs the 25 dollar room credit. The pool was not clean. Also, there was a dog on our floor that was left in the room without the owner. It barked loud for an hour until I called the front desk. The hotel reached out to the owner and after about 30 minutes it was resolved. This was at night time so it was very inconvenient. Only good thing is the location. If I book here next time, I would ask to be on the floor without pets.

The hotel is across the street from the beach so that’s a plus and the lobby looks nice. Andrea at the front desk was very professional and kind. The downside is that kids were running up and down the halls day and night on Saturday. They were knocking on our door as well as other guests and running away. The bathroom had mold in the shower, once we turn the shower off the water continued to run for a few minutes. Our toilet had a crack in the seat, it had hair on it upon arrival and when we flushed it the toilet ran continuously. We had to wiggle the handle to make it stop. The cleaning staff did not clean our room, they only made the bed and brought towels. There was trash in the elevator on Sunday that was still there on Monday. There are homeless people hanging out at the edge of the property. For nearly $700 for two nights after paying parking, resort fees and everything I expected more.

Beautiful view from the Ocean Curve room. The double beds in our room were very small. It would be nice if they were upgraded to Queen sized beds. Staff was very friendly and welcoming.

The (corner) rooms are great with a great view of the ocean! They keep the rooms very clean daily. Nice pool and atmosphere. Front desk personnel were very accommodating and pleasant to talk to,specifically Shenoya. Very nice lady! Overall, I recommend this hotel and will be returning!

Check in was smooth. Front desk staff was super nice and helpful. The room is freezing. Even though the AC was set at 75° the room stayed around 64°. Great for sleeping. Pillows were meh but the bed was comfortable. Do not like the frosted window in the bathroom as it puts light in the whole room. Middle of the night it woke me up. The pool area and outside bar were great, lively, and fun. We didn’t utilize the hotel restaurant but they were nice and gave us ice, esp since the ice machines were broken. Hotel is a lil far away from everything but not too too far. And right across from the beach. I do not like the only valet partying option. Esp for 55/night. Ridiculous to just park your car. But considering other hotel room rates compared to this one it evened out. I’d stay here again.

The walls in our room were paper thin, we could hear the conversations of the people next door very clearly. We also wished we had not pre-paid for breakfast because it was basic but very overpriced. Sorry, but we will not be staying here again the next time we go to Florida.

Very welcoming smooth check in and check out rooms were very clean with all amenities needed in the bathroom. The only negative remark is the room stated it would be two queen beds but actually the beds were not queen size 2 people did not fit properly in the bed, it was more like a full-size bed

Do not recommend staying here. The hotel itself wasnt bad but the insulation in the rooms are TERRIBLE i dont even think there was any. We could hear people coughing from the next room. Someone could be having a normal conversation or watching tv at minimal volume and you could hear it. When someone closes their door its so loud that you think they're coming into your room. Spend the extra money on a hotel that has insulation.

The staff were friendly. The hotel location was great, right across from the beach and walking distance to a lot of restaurants. The room was clean and had a great view of the beach. The only downside was you can hear EVERY SINGLE NOISE when inside the room. I could hear the live music at the bar, every noise from the hall, and I could hear the TV and every word said in the rooms next to me. I had ear plugs but without them I wouldn’t have been able to sleep.

I was charged a $500 deposit upon arrival which I was not made aware of in the fine print. My room was connected to two adjoining rooms with other guests (traveling alone this felt very unsafe).There is a $46 daily charge for free water bottles, towels and a beach chair (umbrella paid separately for $36 daily) and the maid does not come every day, so you won't get your fresh towels or water bottles some days. The $25 dining credit was useless since I had to sit and wait for over 10 minutes, in which the servers chose to take orders from anyone else but me. When I tried to ask the front desk about the service, they were rude and didn't let me speak until I asked to speak to a hotel manager (decided to be nice after that). Not worth what I paid for, worst birthday trip I could have planned.

My stay during the Christmas and New Year holidays (5 days)was a disaster. As an E. Silver Member, I chose this hotel for its VIP Access benefits, including free breakfast, parking credit, early check-in, and late check-out. None of these were honored. The reception manager, S.T., claimed the hotel doesn’t offer VIP Access benefits and blamed E. Despite multiple attempts to resolve this, nothing was done. To make matters worse, S.T. Who I confirmed twice for late check-out which she offer until 4 PM, but I was charged $75 at check-out, and she denied ever agreeing to it when I check out at 3:30pm Beyond this, the swimming pool is very small, the gym is smelly, and the water pressure in the rooms is very low. The staff answers you politely but is ultimately dishonest, always looking to grab any extra penny they can charge you. This hotel is dishonest, poorly managed, and doesn’t care about its guests. Avoid this place at all costs.

The property is fine - nothing great but fine. The service is what’s missing entirely and management has this place extremely understaffed. One bell man who was nice but couldn’t handle things caused my wife to carry all our bags to our two rooms while I took our kids to Steelpan for dinner (which was really good). Our junior suite rooms were sparse and felt like a roadside motel. Linens were missing entirely from the sofa bed and the front desk lady was awful to deal with - her bad attitude and unwillingness to help was disappointing. We didn’t get our linens so our kids could sleep, so my wife went to the front desk and found four staff ladies hanging around and just chatting and laughing - I’m not sure who’s working here. The maid that finally brought us our bedding was very sweet and apologetic but the front desk people put her in a terrible position. If this place cost a third of what they’re charging, it would be fine, but it’s supposed to be a higher end hotel and it’s clearly not. I’d avoid this place entirely especially if you travel with children and value things being done properly. Even without kids, you should expect the bare minimum and the Sonesta fails at even that.

This was my first time staying at a Sonesta property. From the moment we arrived, the friendly staff welcomed us with warm smiles. The pool area is a true gem, surrounded by palm trees and lounge chairs, making it perfect for relaxation. Special shout out to Andy and Cory, the bartenders at Steelpan, the onsite restaurant. They were entertaining and engaging. Our favorite drink there was the Bramble Daiquiri. The room itself was clean and had everything needed for a relaxing stay, including in-room refrigerator and coffee maker. The view of the ocean from the room was perfect. Nearby there are several restaurants, including a pizza place and a Mexican restaurant. Public transportation is excellent in the area. We definitely will make the Sonesta Fort Lauderdale Beach our first choice every time we are in the area!

Front desk attendant saw me waiting but asked other ppl if they needed help before me, and they weren’t even waiting in line. Then she asked if I needed help AFTER they said no. Gave me a 2nd floor room with a crummy view even though I was an Expedia platinum. I had to ask about the credit. She didn’t just tell me. Felt a little discriminated against, not sure why. I came down later and asked a gentleman for a late checkout tomorrow which he was really nice and said he would try. But gave me a 12:00 complimentary. He was really nice and personable.

Check in took a long time. We arrived early and told our room would be expedited and we would be called. No call and when we arrived back at 4 checkin was a nightmare with huge lines. The person for our line was extremely slow compared to others. Told our room wasn’t ready at 4:20 which was awful given we were told earlier it would be expedited. A co worker came over and found us a room that was available. Parking $55 plus tax daily. Totally outrageous. Will never stay again. 20 percent service fee added to bills and not disclosed. Good thing we heard someone else complain about it. No nice lounge/bar or entertainment. Other local hotels have better options.

We stayed at this hotel for a quick get away. Everything was wonderful. It started with a call to verify info and spoke with Jet. She was very helpful and friendly. We then got to the hotel and checked in with Shenoya, she was amazing. At that time, we also me Jet. Both were extremely helpful and accommodating. I can not say enough about the hotel and its amenities along with the constant courtesy shown to the guests. We can't say enough about how wonderful our experience staying here was. I want to recognize Jet, Shenoya and Andrea especially as they made our stay extremely memorable. If you are wondering where to say in Ft. Lauderdale, think no more. This hotel will not let you down and neither will the staff!

This is a great property located in a nice part of Fort Lauderdale. It is a bit removed from the heart of Fort Lauderdale, but that makes it a bit quieter, and still just a couple minutes walk from the beach, restaurants, and shops.

Came here with a huge group of family, they did an awesome job helping us check in early and had a place to store our luggage before and after booking! Great service! Love the rooms! The rooms all looked towards the beach! Pool area is nice! Just across the beach and state park! Only place I will be booking if I visit Fort Lauderdale!

Very nice upscale property located directly across AIA from the beach. Immediate area is very walkable with numerous dining options within two blocks. Having the state park right next door is also very convenient. I would definitely stay here again.

First of all, I had a great time. Secondly, there is NOOOO PARKING AT THE HOTEL. VALET ONLY $55 for overnight. Thirdly, I paid for the package to include breakfast and was still charged an additional cost for breakfast.

Nice hotel with friendly staff. The room was clean, and the property itself was neat and clean. There are many food options within walking distance.
