Seems a little old, run down, and dirty. Absolutely no counter space in the bathroom or by the sink, which doesn't seem like a big deal, but no shelves or anything in the bathroom to set stuff on. Very concerned by the lack of security in the building. The pool is in a different building, but you don't need a key card to get into building OR pool area, so literally anyone could walk in and use the pool.

Manager was friendly and accommodating. The room needed repair as the vinyl tile in the kitchen and bathroom was coming up and sinking in in areas. The hottub was as cold as the pool.

Close to Black Rock Canyon. Convenient location within walking distance of several restaurants. We were in a second, separate building also housing the pool area. It did not require key entry into the building. While at breakfast another guest asked to have the waffle batter replenished and was told it takes too long to make it.

The hot tub was broken, the staff did not even know. Breakfast was minimal and very processed. Some of the bedding had burnt marks from cigarettes, some of the coffee creamers were moldy, the pool and laundry were in a whole different building the guest bathroom in the hallway had cleaning supplies and it, no garbage cans, anywhere and public places. Just overall very, very poorly managed.

Stayed for a week, never had cleaning staff come by at all I had to take my trash to the dumpster and get more towels myself. Hot tub was broken and the pool was too cold to be usable overall way overpriced for the level of quality and service received

The hotel was nice, they had fresh delicious cookies at the front desk which was awesome! The hotel is a 10 minute drive from Black Canyon National Park and 45minute drive from Ouray which was awesome! The only negative review I have is the pool was not very clean, the hot tub was out of order and there were no towels for the pool.

The only reason I am giving this stay any stars is for the wonderful front desk worker who was more than kind through my husband and I's experience. We have had our fair share of stays, and we are flexible with our arrangements. With that being said, DO NOT STAY AT THIS PLACE. The location itself is in the 'insecure' part of Montrose. As guests who are traveling, it felt unsafe from the start. When we received our room, we went in to find a filthy room. There was hair on the bedding, in the sink, and on the floor in the bathroom. There was urine all over the toilet seat that clearly was not cleaned prior. The bedding had dirty marks and the tiles were broken. We went back to the front desk explaining what we found and asked for a cleaned room. When we received the new room, we found the exact same filthy state as the first. We explained this to the front desk and kindly asked for a refund, which he was more than willing to do. We ended up canceling our stay and booking at the Holiday Inn down the road which was a much better experience all around.

Close to Arby’s and mi Mexico restaurant. Easy to park. The staff were great! Cons: needs updating with carpet and bathroom. We arrive evening and found room 104 to have hair in bathtub including public hair. Lots of Hair was also present on bathroom floor. Sink had residue of some gunk and toothpaste stuff. One dirty face towel and one towel was only provided. One pillow had human hair on it. It was our first to experience such neglect for cleanliness. Not sure who was cleaning the room or somebody used it for the night without anybody knowing. It was unusual. Staff was called and responded immediately and offered us another room but since I already removed the hair we opted just to stay in the room since we were too tired to move our heavy luggage’s upstairs(no elevator). Please have mgt report this! Room should been checked before a customer checks in to make sure it’s ready!

This property could use a deep clean. The floors in the room were mostly clean but you could see dust and dirt in the corners and on the ceiling. The curtains were dirty and need to be washed. The bedding was clean but there were some stains. There was a dark colored washcloth for makeup which would have been nice but it was dusty and had hair on it. There is no counter to put your toiletries on. We booked a room for 2 adults and 2 kids and we were given 2 towels. They did promptly bring more towels when we requested them though. There is also no elevator which is not an issue for us but could be for some.

I've stayed at this hotel a few times in the past when it was previously GreenTree. This was all about a year ago. I was in town for an event and booked it out of familiarity and prior comfort. I ended up needing to switch to three different rooms all upon initial check in due to lack of cleanliness of each room. The first room I inspected the bed and there was hair under the blankets and a blood spot on the back of a pillow case. I alerted the front desk and they moved me into another room right next door on the same floor. Before taking my belongings into this room I also inspected the bedding and found similar issues with hair under the blankets and all over the bed. Went back to the front desk and the manager apologized and went to inspect a third room before handing over new keys. The bedding was fine in the third room and appeared to be clean. I did check for bed bugs after that incident just to be safe. The floor appeared to have been vacuumed and the bathroom was decent but also had some pieces of hair in the tub and around the toilet. I also found 1/4 of a 18 pack of beer still in the fridge so I realized housekeeping had not checked that. Overall I won't be staying here again. If you do, check EVERYTHING to ensure it's been cleaned. It honestly turned my stomach and I won't be back unfortunately.

The assistant at the front desk was great and was doing the best she could but there was very little help -- our room was not ready for 3 hours after check in time. The bathroom was not cleaned well and the room was outdated. No elevator for access to 2nd floor.

Awful. Checked in, went to room. No toilet paper in the bathroom. There was, however, toilet paper stuck in the eye view in the door so people couldn’t see in. Went to go lay in the bed, sheets were still dirty with hair. I’m sure this room was never cleaned after last guest.

Toilet had urine all over the toilet seat as well as underneath it. Hair in shower and on the supposedly clean towels. No hand soap. Crumbs in microwave. Dust on too if furniture and chair! Carpeting was filthy. Worst room I have ever stayed in! It was also very noisy! Rating of 0 if rating were 0-10 if 10 was good!

This hotel is in serious need of attention. There were dirty sheets laying in the hallway, the public bathroom was filthy, the rooms smelled and were not clean, the doors to the hotel were unlocked, the breakfast was unacceptable, the ice machine and jacuzzi were broken. I would never stay at this hotel again. Should be taken off the expedia list.

The building is pretty old and the walls are quite thin. So you hear Everything even toilets flushing in another room or shower's. But what I liked was. The management was very good at keeping us happy and we did enjoy the Breakfast.

Bed comfortable, clean. A/C worked nicely without loud cycling noises. Internet service was non-existent in room and hot tub was not hot. My pet peeve with most hotels is they need to do a better job on telling folks to respect others and not be excessively noisy in general and especially at quiet times (i.e. after 10 pm). Too many times people are out in halls, leaving doors open, going int/out of door like "what are you doing"

The AC was making high pitched noise, like you were on a plane. Told the front desk, unfortunately no other rooms were available. They knew the AC was broken from previous guests but they never had it fixed. Had to turn it off, but it got hot in our room. Our stay in a very nice 2BR condo at Snowmass/ Aspen area was way cheaper than this hotel. Needs lots of repairs like loose doorknobs and electrical outlets.

The room was comfortable and staff was friendly. At about 10pm however there were rowdy guests in the lobby and in nearby rooms slamming doors and screaming. Didn’t last very long. Then around 3am some guests were attempting to enter a room and had to knock repeatedly for someone to open the door, which caused a general sound disturbance. The walls and doors were very thin so you could hear the faintest of sounds very audibly in the room.

booked two rooms days before arrival, paid in advance. when we arrived at 9pm to check in, we were told that they over booked and they did not have our room. there were several people in line to before us and they were told the same. every hotel / motel in all surrounding areas were full. no vacancies anywhere.

Staff was very accomodating by adding an extra night with no penalty. If I used Expedia I would have lost my deposit. Only one ice machine on facility and it was out of order. However staff sent some one to buy a bag for me and another guest. Sink area was very small with no place to set cosmetics. Room had sufficent outlets for chargers

Smooth and quick check in! When we got back to the property after dinner and shopping, we turned our tv on to discover we couldn’t get the sound working. The front desk attendant, who we believe is named Patrick came to fix it for us! He was very kind, professional and helped us get it working in no time! The whole staff was awesome. We got up in the morning and took our toddler to the swimming pool, it was clean, warm and comfortable! Next time we are in the area, we will definitely be returning to this hotel!

My wife called at 8:30 pm on Sept 25th to ensure our reservation was valid. We arrived at 10:15 pm on Sept 25th and was told we did not have a reservation. I had the printed copy from Expedia. The receptionist lied and was untruthful. We got our money back and at midnight found another hotel. Stay away from this property!

There is no elevator. The pool is in another building, which you must cross a parking lot to get to. It is very weird. The water in the pool and hot tub were a strange color and the jets were not working. There were several strange men lounging outside the side door, which was propped open with a floor mat. While the manager and the staff were very nice, I just did not feel safe here.

The door to the building we stayed in was not locked at night, there was shady stuff happening in the back parking lot by our room. They were out of everything, the ice machine was broken. Not impressed, will not stay there again.

Close to Black Rock Canyon. Convenient location within walking distance of several restaurants. We were in a second, separate building also housing the pool area. It did not require key entry into the building. While at breakfast another guest asked to have the waffle batter replenished and was told it takes too long to make it.

The hot tub was broken, the staff did not even know. Breakfast was minimal and very processed. Some of the bedding had burnt marks from cigarettes, some of the coffee creamers were moldy, the pool and laundry were in a whole different building the guest bathroom in the hallway had cleaning supplies and it, no garbage cans, anywhere and public places. Just overall very, very poorly managed.

This hotle was filthy! The first room they gave us was not even cleaned from the pervious guest. The staff was apologetic and gave us another room right away. The second room did not have cases on the pillows and there was dirty underwater in the bed, so the sheet were not changed!, they just remade the bed. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. Hotels.com and the hotel did give us a refund right away.

We definitely felt bamboozled! Which is Crazy as we've Always had great stays at Best Western hotels. Our room up the stairs (no elevator) Smelled of old stale cigarettes and mold. After fully stepping in, it was apparent by the Skittles and debris on the floor, it hadn't been vacuumed. Then what looked like black mold along the bottom of the shower curtain was enough.... Grabbed our bags and left immediately. Went around the way to the Holiday inn - the last minute price was $200 dollars more, but worth every dime! Cleanliness and comfort are not worth sacrificing for savings... Hoping this review will encourage the staff to do better and improve quality check standards for future travelers!
