A nice old hotel and bar with home cooked food. Rooms have been updated and are clean and warm. The oldest part of the hotel/ bar has low wood beams dating back to who knows when? Some ancient history here. All tall folks should learn to duck as you enter.

The hotel is easy to find, great parking, ability to eat at the hotel and sit in a nice beer garden. If you have mobility issues make sure you request ground floor room as there are lots of stairs and long corridors. I stayed in a deluxe room which was advertised as bigger than average. Overall pleasing colour decor. Tea, coffee , water . Now to be picky - the mattresses on the single beds pushed together to represent a" king size bed " need replacing . The shower area needs to be bleached. Nothing worse than stepping into a shower area with black mould in all 4 corners. Yuck ! I do have photos but the add facility isn't working ??

Room was small but clean and had everything needed. Located near a retail park and industrial estate, but pleasant pub garden. Sandwiches were as basic as they come, but breakfast looked good. Peaceful and quiet overnight.

The corridors of the accommodation wing smelt of a septic tank/overflowing drains. Rooms were ok though dividing walls were paper thin. Service was pretty poor - they were overrun and inflexible: wouldn’t allow us to order dinner over the phone (as we were held up in traffic) before the kitchen closed. On checking out of our 3 pre-paid rooms in the morning there was confusion their end - as somehow they’d reserved 4 rooms for us and now wanted us to pay for the 4th room, despite never being offered the key to it on check in….because we’d never booked it. Not a pleasant argument to have when hurriedly leaving after breakfast!

Lovely place to stay and spotlessly clean Our disappointment was the size of the room we paid extra for a standard double room rather than the small double , we were given room 14 which on reflection seems more like it was a small double as it only had one bedside table and a very small gap down the other side and caught my leg on bed end when getting back down the small gap. The bed was nice and comfy but could have done with extra pillow in wardrobe ( appreciate this is personal choice ) Other than above small gripe really nice place and we enjoyed an excellent meal in the bar can highly recommend the food and service

Two night stay for wedding at nearby Elmore Court. Great food and service from the staff. Only downside was a room with little external soundproofing (noisy during night) and a draughty window. All in all though, decent value for price paid.

No armchairs to relax & watch tv, barhroom basic, tiny shower onyl 1 hand towel and bath gel, for 2 people? Bed was ok and pillows were great. Good a la carte breakfast menu & food was good.

The room itself was fit for purpose, the pricing of food evening meal / breakfast somewhat expensive - not helped by staff attitude! Burger - with cheese (smallest piece £2.50 extra) + 1 pint nearly £30 when involuntary service charge added!! Breakfast £15.95 - same price for a full breakfast or continental!! Inexperienced staff SURLY!

Travelling for business stayed in the Thatch Inn, very easy to find and not far from the M5. Arrived later than expected but the staff were very friendly and helpful. the room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was well presented and very tasty. Will definitely stay here again.

For £15 each, I would call the breakfasts average, with just 1 of each item plus some very watery button mushrooms.

Original old pub was lovely. Low water pressure meant no shower. No hot water the whole time we were there. Mo doubke glazing so noise from carpark. Rooms extension bot sound proofed so can hear from rooms next door. Breakfast rather steep £15per person. Would do well to offer continental at half that price. Restaurant food very good but pricey especially as carvary just down the road. Room service a bit hit and miss.1 habd towel for 2 people??? There always seemed to be something missing from drinks tray.

Best breakfast ever. Great quality meat and swapped grilled tomato for wilted spinach - Yum, absolutely amazing mix! Chef wasn't too impressed though

Very clean rooms with everything we needed. Not enough staff in the bar, and the big breakfast was a tiny portion for £17 which we felt ripped off for. Apart from that it was a nice stay.
