I parked right outside my room - literally 10 feet away from the door, so parking was ideal! Laura was extremely helpful and very professional (other than the Pineapple juice - but we had words about that 😂). The room itself was very well presented and clean. Breakfast was lovely, and again, Laura was at hand to ensure a speedy and efficient service, also making sure the air temperature was ok for us. I don't usually write reviews, but this place deserves a positive mention.

Rooms are spacious, clean, welcoming. Kettle, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, water - still & sparkling, biscuits, all provided in room. Hairdryer, soaps, shampoo available too. Bed very comfy. Stayed for two nights and although the refreshments were replaced, we had to make our own bed in the morning, not the end of the world but when staying in a hotel, having my bed made is a perk! Staying over Christmas period was blamed for shortages on the main and breakfast menus. Very limited choice but we were told that the way Christmas fell had an impact on their deliveries. Service was very friendly but extremely slow. Having said all the above, we would stay again. The staff were doing the best they could and lovely. Plenty of parking spaces available.

Staff very keen to help, but no food available on the evening on my stay due to the bar/restaurant being closed for another event. No contact made informing me of this, just the poor girl being left to deliver the me the news. If you struggle with noise then this venue is not the place to stay - traffic noise and noise from adjoining rooms was not blocked out at all.

We had a lovely night. The staff were really friendly. The room was lovely and clean and comfortable. They supplied tea, coffee, biscuits and bottled water. It was really quiet. The breakfast was amazing. Would definitely stay again.

Everything appeared to be fine and going well, until we used the bathroom. It was quite apparent that no actual attention to detaul was carried out when cleaning the area. Grime under the bath tap, shower screen and tap controls. The wall tiles were black where meeting the floor tiles. The toilet brush holder was filthy with god knows what. The extractor fan had never been wiped due to the thick layer of dust over the vent intake. The room had thick layers of dust on table legs, sockets etc. All the manager could say was sorry about that when pointed out to her. If it hadnt been for this the review would have been alot different,

Hotel is lovely. It suited us as we were visiting friends nearby. The welcome was lovely, especially as restaurant was very busy at the time. The room was modern and clean, and we had a bath too. There was a little noise from road traffic at the front of the hotel but not enough to keep me awake. However the mattress was very hard and not very comfortable. The breakfast was the best I have had in a hotel ever! Cooked to perfection with quality ingredients. Proper butter, beautiful fresh toast. Quality sausages and bacon, the best Black Pudding ever! It was wonderful. I’d imagine the restaurant food is just as good! Will find out on my next visit

The rooms were exceptionally comfortable and the staff couldn't have been more delightful. We enjoyed an excellent dinner in the pub. Only downside to the great location just off the A1 but this meant the bedrooms are really noisy.

I was a little unsure about my booking due to the hotel’s close proximity to the A1. How wrong I was! The accommodation at the Eaton Oak is modern and room was well presented. Nice bathroom with bath and shower over. Definitely no noise from the A1 Again, I had a fixed opinion in my mind that the food would be the standard fayre of this type of establishment but, again, how wrong I was! My starter of beetroot with whipped feta was delicious (I will recreate it at home) and the steak and ale pie was good although the tenderstem was tepid. The staff were delightful throughout my stay but there appeared to only be one waitress on in the evening which, whilst not her fault, meant long waiting times and not much attention. Breakfast was very good but, again, slow. It was disappointing that breakfast service only starts at 8am which, for those needing to get off to work, is a little too late. The Eaton Oak is definitely a place I would return to on a future occasion.

Beautiful little place and it has a great restaurant. Walls are quite thin though and I could hear a person next door very clearly. Nobody was around to check out before 8am.

Beautifully decorated rooms and very comfortable. Quality products and tea/coffee available. It was a lovely room and I would recommend to anyone. It was slightly cold in the room but the outside temperature was cold at the time

All the staff were friendly and professional. I have food allergies and this was taken care of with knowledge and care. Very convenient for travel to major roads. Room was very comfortable and well planned. We would not hesitate to stay again!

We picked The Eaton Oak because it was close to a wedding venue we were attending. I contacted the hotel to arrange an early check in and they were very helpful. We checked in early on the day and all rooms were ready on time and the staff were extremely helpful. Breakfast can be hit and miss at some hotels, but not at The Eaton Oak. The breakfast was exceptional. Highest quality ingredients, and cooked to order, and served with a smile. I would not hesitate to stay here again. The service was much better than some 5 star establishments we have stayed in

My only negative comment, and it is minor, is that breakfast is too late for a business person as it doesnt start until 8. Really could do with it being 30 minutes earlier That said, the chef agreed i could pre-order the night before, which i did and it was waiting for me piping hot and delicious.

Staff very keen to help, but no food available on the evening on my stay due to the bar/restaurant being closed for another event. No contact made informing me of this, just the poor girl being left to deliver the me the news. If you struggle with noise then this venue is not the place to stay - traffic noise and noise from adjoining rooms was not blocked out at all.

I was a little unsure about my booking due to the hotel’s close proximity to the A1. How wrong I was! The accommodation at the Eaton Oak is modern and room was well presented. Nice bathroom with bath and shower over. Definitely no noise from the A1 Again, I had a fixed opinion in my mind that the food would be the standard fayre of this type of establishment but, again, how wrong I was! My starter of beetroot with whipped feta was delicious (I will recreate it at home) and the steak and ale pie was good although the tenderstem was tepid. The staff were delightful throughout my stay but there appeared to only be one waitress on in the evening which, whilst not her fault, meant long waiting times and not much attention. Breakfast was very good but, again, slow. It was disappointing that breakfast service only starts at 8am which, for those needing to get off to work, is a little too late. The Eaton Oak is definitely a place I would return to on a future occasion.

Have stayed here several times and always very happy. Unfortunately this time was not as good. Breakfast was disappointing, took a long time and they had no eggs!! Also could not get a drink at 10.45pm in the bar despite being a resident.

Hotel is lovely and everything in it is top quality, from the bed linen to the soap and the food. The breakfast was not as good as the last time we were here as there was only one waiter and there was a large group as well as other guests. Sausages were lukewarm and they ran out of eggs, however I think the circumstances affected the service so I didn’t complain and it wouldn’t put me off staying here again. The meal the night before was lovely as was Amy our server. There was no hot water in our room when we arrived but this was remedied by the time we’d had dinner. My advice would be to check if any large groups have a booking before staying as I think this hotel is too small to cope with a large group and other guests and do it well!

We picked The Eaton Oak because it was close to a wedding venue we were attending. I contacted the hotel to arrange an early check in and they were very helpful. We checked in early on the day and all rooms were ready on time and the staff were extremely helpful. Breakfast can be hit and miss at some hotels, but not at The Eaton Oak. The breakfast was exceptional. Highest quality ingredients, and cooked to order, and served with a smile. I would not hesitate to stay here again. As usual room has tea / coffee but rather than the usual Nescafe have premium brands and real milk! We took evening meal at the pub and I must say the pie was outstanding, not really sure how they got that much meat into it. Breakfast was included but be warned the full breakfast is huge but again was of high quality. Again all staff were very friendly and helpful would stay again if in the area.

Lovely room, but poor service in the restaurant. The breakfast does not start until 8.00am and the staff were unable to offer any alternative if you wanted to leave before 7.30- nothing cold, nothing at all. One day we had something delivered to room at 7.30 but that was the earliest possible. The one person serving tables in the evening was rushed and had to be asked every time we needed anything to come to assist.

Friendly, helpful team of staff, calm and supportive. We were a party of four women. One of us has mobility challenges. The accessible room was perfect for her. They were happy to go with our birthday celebration wishes, so we could decorate the table and they brought out the cake. Food was delicious and pub restaurant was well spaced out. Would definitely visit again.
