This was our last hotel on our way home from a long trip. We loved having access through our “back door” into the covered atrium. Although I have mobility issues, I was able to get into and out of the pool by myself. The breakfast was amazing, and the food was plentiful. Fresh tortillas, “real oatmeal” (not dry packages), etc. we also had a very nice dinner. Can’t say enough good things. I’m sure this a renovation of an old hotel, but it was perfect for us! Extra points for the Keurig style coffee pot!

Awesome place to stay!! Drive up to your assigned door, unload and you’re in. Inside door to atrium and pool and restaurant. Staff is very accommodating. Great shower and bed was really comfy. Ac works very well. Tv had lots of premium channels. Very clean room! Check in and check out easy enough.

From the outside it looks like your typical hotel, but the inside of the rooms and the indoor patio and pool area is a relaxing and spacious place to unwind. The rooms are a little smaller than other places, however they are clean and well maintained. The front desk personnel are kind, respectful and knowledgeable. There is a restaurant in the hotel for your convenience. I was very pleased with my stay here and will come here when in town and needing a good night's rest. Oh, there is also a small gift shop that is open 24/7, they sell shirts,sweatshirts, really nice jewelry and trinkets and some cute stuffed animals if your kiddo is needing a snuggle buddy.

Great parking right outside our door (exterior entrance) but also has another exterior door on the other side of the room that goes to an enormous covered courtyard. It has sitting areas and a heated pool - which was great that the area was so large that it did not smell of chlorine. The older hotel was well maintained and very clean. Beds were very comfortable and the room was dark because there are no exterior windows. You get a coupon for the number of paid guests that is good to eat breakfast at the restaurant at the hotel. It is a wonderful buffet with a server to bring drinks, etc - gratuity expected. Word of advice, if you plan to be in your room past 9am put the “do not disturb” on your door. I was in the courtyard at that time and no less that 20 staff began knocking on doors to clean promptly at 9. They woke my daughter who was trying to sleep in.

I stay at this hotel frequently and it is by far the nicest in Raton. Unfortunately this last visit was a big dissapointment. While the staff is always wonderfull the condition of my room was unacceptable and ruined my stay. The hvac in the room didnt function properly and could not maintain a consistent temperature. It was eirmther freezing or boiling. Second there was something wrong with the plumbing so that every time the guests above me used their bathroom it caused a very loud cracking noise in my room thst sounded like the wall was breaking. This woke me up repeatedly and I got no sleep at night. This hotel is too expensive to be uncomfortable and sleepless. Maintenence needs to step it up.

Our stay at the Best Western in Raton was very nice. The staff was friendly, our meal at the on-site restaurant was really good and the rooms were quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was great (order the pancakes for sure!). Would definitely stay here again!

The hotel is a bit odd in layout, as I've never stayed in a room with 3 exit doors: one to the hotel, one to the outside world, and another to connect with the neighboring room. The bed was comfortable; however, the sofa bed felt like something one might find in prison with a super thin mattress and sharp springs poking through. Our sofa sleeping guest chose to put the mattress back and just sleep on the sofa. The bathroom was huge with both a tub and a separate shower. The pool was right outside our room, which was nice except for the kids that were really excited to start swimming and yelling bright and early the next morning. Check in and out were both easy and the parking lot was big enough to accommodate out truck and trailer.

This is the premiere hotel for a stay in Raton. We stay here for five days each year, and always come back for the friendly staff, good service, and good value. The hotel is very clean and modern. The restaurant serves a great breakfast each morning and has a good menu for lunch and dinner too. The beds are comfortable and there's lots of parking (all uncovered). The wall mount A/C unit can be a little noisy, but does a good job of keeping the temp. Even though the hotel is close to the freeway, it's a quiet property--you won't be bothered by any traffic noise.We appreciated the laundry and the gym. The indoor pool is usually quite busy with kids and families, but quiets down by 10 PM and wasn't a bother to us--if you're an early to bed person, make sure to get a room at the other end of the hotel so the voices won't keep you up.

Daniel was fantastic!! I am mobility impaired. When arrived there were not any handicap accessible rooms available, however when I asked whether a shower chair was available, Daniel said absolutely, and had it waiting in our room. Additionally, when I asked whether the pool had an accessible mobility left, he said absolutely, and had maintenance come down and put in the battery so I could use it to get in and out of the pool. It was so relaxing after a long day of driving. KUDOS to Daniel. Please let hil know how much he is appreciated. P.S. your property, room, pool was very clean and well kept. Keep up the fantastic job.

One of the desk clerks was worthless, but the other was able to cancel a double booking which was not my doing. The HC rooms were far from the front desk. At this point in time, all rooms should be universal design (meaning grab bars at the toilet and in the shower/bath at the very least) - this needs to be addressed by all hotels! The desk clerks failed to inform us there was two entrances to our room which meant we could park close to our room. The staff at this hotel needs orientation training!

The property met our expectations on a trip from Texas to Co. It was in a good location. Room was simple and clean. Floors were uncarpeted which was cold in the vanity area. Complimentary breakfast was not good and wish we had gone to the Denny’s across the street. It’s not fancy but we would stay again if we are making the same trip again.
