We had an amazing and unique stay at this retro motel. The small kidney shaped pool Was filled in with a nice sitting area around it. Micheal and Brandi are great hosts and even offered to take us into town if we didn’t want to walk. I would stay there again! It’s very cute!

The pictures online made it look much more recently updated than it was. It was a cute motel but it felt old and in need of a new paint job in a lot of areas. The room could have been a little cleaner too, especially in the bathroom around the floor, in the corners and around the edge of the ceiling.

The town is sadly rundown. On a Monday, most restaurants are closed and only one served adult beverages. The room smelled like it had been overly sprayed with deodorizer. The a/c was ok after running a couple of hours. We have stayed at retro motels before and this one didn’t meet our expectations. The owner was super sweet and helpful.

Coolest little motel I’ve ever stayed in. Small one story with great owners. Clean and in a great location. All the rooms have different themes so when you saw someone in another room you asked to see theirs or they asked to see your room theme. It was awesome!

We loved staying here at this property. So clean and loved being able to park right in front of your room and walk in with your bags. The rooms are decorated so cute with vintage touches. We stayed in the pinup room, #8 and loved the vintage decor. Nice big room with a nice comfortable king size bed. We plan to come back.

I was overly impressed by the communication from the owners of this motel. They communicated about road closures and how to get there easily. We arrived after hours, and the owner was still there. He came to say hi to us upon our arrival. They have the cutest office area with drinks and light snacks for breakfast. The lobby was vintage, my son and I enjoyed looking at all the memorabilia. We are looking forward to staying here again

Jumped off the Southwest Chief for a night in Raton, and Brandi & Michael went above & beyond to make my visit a good one- they even picked me up at the train station! The motor inn itself is done in vintage style, and my room was extremely neat and homey. Best night of sleep I've had in months! Would highly recommend.

I love this place, and go out of my way some to stop in Raton so I can sleep here. Every room is set up with cool old decorations around a specific theme. The owners are fantastic. Last time there they bent over backwards trying to help my buddy track down his lost wallet. It’s also easy walking distance to downtown, and while there’s not a whole lot going on in Raton it does have its charms.

Wonderful couple who own the Raton Pass Motor Inn. They are intelligence, gracious, friendly and helpful. They can be serious and they can laugh. It is a fun funky place to stay with lots of collectibles and some antiques. Breakfast consists of: juice, coffee, tea, yogurt, bread, cereal, hardboiled eggs, and you eat at a table with other guests. If you prefer the Hilton, this in not your place. We plugged the toilet right out of the gate and informed them of such at 5:45 AM. Their response was THE most graceful, prompt and kind of anywhere I’ve ever stayed! The beds were Very comfy and the spread was thin and Clean!

Biggest issue was the lack of tv. Just some stupid roku. It didnt affect me but you may want to know that they seem to not always have enough hot water and they are kind of limited in check in hours. Breakfast was meagre. More srtyle than substance.

This was an easy stop for us traveling from Arizona to South Dakota. The rooms are individual doors with parking right out front of our door which we appreciated since we had bikes on back. The only negative was an apparently homeless/or poor woman hanging around really eyeing our bikes. We slept with the curtains open a bit so we could keep an eye on them throughout the night.

The owners have continued the continuous path from the 50s, and done so with great expertise and class. The lobby is as good as a museum. The location is wonderful, on the edge of town, so it is quiet, and great scenery out of your door.

We chose this property because of so many positive reviews. It did not disappoint. It was easy to find, and we were warmly greeted by the owners. It is modest - don’t come here looking for a high end hotel environment. The rooms were clean, and had cute decor, and it was quiet. Our needs were met for an overnight stay. There are coffee, teas, and snacks available for guests in the morning. We will stop here again next time we do overnight in Raton.

Greeted warmly, good recommendation for dinner. Stayed in “Matador” room. A bit cheesy but clean and comfortable. Felt like traveling back in time. Door lock didn’t seem very secure but area seemed safe enough. Not much of a breakfast but the price was right. Would def stay here again.

It is definitely a redone vintage motel. It was clean, comfortable, and affordable. The owners are very nice people. If you’re looking for luxury this is not the place, but we had everything we needed for an overnight stay. There was a short drive to find restaurants for dinner. We had a continental breakfast provided in the morning.
