Very nice hotel , characterful , nice decor in room and public areas. We upgraded to a sea view/balcony room. Was excellent Haven’t tried the Chophouse Restaurant. The Lounge Bar had nice atmosphere with a DJ and many locals popping in for a pint , although the staff were very friendly the service was slow. Will stay again the night before a ferry crossing

We were given a room where the floor sloped, window facing the beach leaked causing moisture on the window. The bed mattress was old with no support. The restaurants were very good including the steakhouse which was terrific.

Main reason for choosing this hotel is for spa and gym facilities as I do not like missing gym sessions when I’m away. Hotel location easy to find. The building looks okay, decor is very dated, communal areas are clean apart from sauna area but expected… Gym facilities could be better organised but equipments are excellent. Managed to get amazing workouts which was surprising as hotel usually only have basic stuff but not in this case. Breakfast was adequate and seemed fresh, same each day. Main con for this hotel is the room and the lift. The floor was lopsided and made me and my partner feel giddy every time we walk around the bed, and the lift my gosh was very very slow and tiny. Sign says 8people, well like a sardine with 4. Massive pros, staff are lovely and always smiling and very accommodating and helpful. Gym although not very clean and disorganised we have had amazing sessions due to excellent equipments. Will I recommend and come back again? —absolutely!!! Mainly for staff, gym and spa. Enjoyed our stay for these reasons.
