This B&B was just what we needed, quiet, peaceful, friendly folks, awesome breakfasts, and wonderful beds. We had the pool and hot tub to ourselves which was nice. There were no kids running around which was also an added bonus. Close walking distance to shops and restaurants. All the rooms are gorgeous.

My wife and I stayed weekend of July 26. We enjoyed the quaint quiet retreat. Pool was amazing. Breakfast was like a Michelin star chef was cooking these very nice and succulent breakfast dishes. The convenience of the property placement made it right were all the shopping and fun spots that the historic district had to offer. Thank you for taking care of our needs, to all the staff at the Hoyt House. I would highly recommend this place for anyone that likes quiet little getaway in a bustling beach city.

Wonderful B&B, lovely house, great pool and hot tub. Hosts were great, excellent breakfast. Easy stroll to restaurants and a great brew haus (First Love) directly behind the Hoyt House. Excellent communication pre-arrival through departure.

First, the hosts were outstanding! All rooms were clean, well laid out, and nicely decorated. Coffee and tea 24/7 and a bar!! The breakfast was fresh and delicious. We have no complaints and highly recommend this property. You will not be disappointed. Most definitely 5 stars.

Not bad, but not the best B&B . Bed was made but room was not cleaned or garbage picked up. Very strict time to have breakfast( before 9) although nothing was made on the spot. House was pretty and in a good location, walking distance to good shopping and dining

If perfection was a place... this is it. This gorgeous, Victorian-style home is beautifully appointed and conveniently located close to the beach as well as amazing restaurants and an adorably walkable downtown area. -- The home itself is elegant and comfortable with an atmosphere that is quietly romantic. Each guest room is perfectly and uniquely decorated. We especially enjoyed the abundance of conversation areas and reading nooks. It is also well-stocked with anything a guest may need for a comfortable stay. -- The hosts were welcoming, friendly and truly personable. They also have an extensive knowledge of the area so they are a wonderful resource for local points of interest. The breakfasts were absolutely delicious and served by the nicest staff ever. -- This was our first time staying at a bed and breakfast. We loved it so much that we asked to extend our stay, which our hosts heartily granted. If we could give a rating higher than 5-star, we would.

Couldn't have asked for a better stay - other than the weather. :) Hosts are super friendly. Room was perfect for us. We've been looking for a replacement for the B&B we used to go to when we lived in Minnesota. We just may have found it. I'm pretty certain we'll be back!

The property is wonderful! Even though it is at the intersection of 2 busy roads, our room #3 was tucked away from it all. Very quiet. As with any B&B, you are enjoying what the hosts like for breakfast, or what they think you might like. It's OK not like everything, it's natural. But give it a try! Help the hosts out and don't be rude. We will definitely be back.

The hosts were very nice. The home itself was lovely. It is a perfect location for walking, shopping, and eating downtown. Cons: beds are very soft, coffee was very weak, rooms can be pretty noisy due to street location and traditional wood doors.

A delightful B&B right at the edge of Fernandina Beach Historic District and with a range of shops and dining options within five minutes' walk. Our room was very comfortable and beautifully decorated, and our hosts were most attentive and helpful. One point to note is that Hoyt House is a historic building so it has limited soundproofing. It is right next to what has become a busy road with trailers delivering wood to the paper mill just to the north, so if you are a light sleeper you may want to be aware of this. (The owners do helpfully provide earplugs.) However this is a minor point and was far outweighed for us by the lovely decor and facilities (a long way from a standard boring hotel room) and the proximity to the historic shopping area.

Everything about the Hoyt House is exceptional.. it is located in the heart of the old town, within walking distance of some great restaurants and shopping. The staff is attentive without being obstrusive. Lindy and David, the owners, are warm and welcoming and they are you will want to be your newest best friends.

The staff was wonderful. Check in a breeze. The ONLY reason we marked this less than the full 5 stars was the breakfast. The hashbrown egg casserole. was over baked - the same vegetarian casserole 2 days in a row, was extremely underwhelming. The scone was fabulous - but we could not eat breakfast there 3 days in a row.
