Staff were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the motel itself was very run down unlike the photos. Curtains falling down, leaking tap, pool empty and gardens rubble. Needs immediate upgrade. No safe kids area to play.

The room was quite big as was the bathroom and all rooms in our wing had a door opening to quite a large open space with small individual tables and chair for each room to relax at. Didn’t try the in-house dining option. Would stay again.

No hot water for a shower, one plasticp teaspoon was all the cutlery, one light worked, We had a patio table that had last guests empties left on it. Bar and grill was non existant. Food could be served to your room and you could get a beer from the office. Water hammer was terrible and could not stop shower from running all night. The bathroom door didn't completely close so we couldn't shut out the noise of the leaky shower

Overall, the room provided what we needed. The floor was gritty and, i don't think it had been swept the day we arrived. There were 3 of us staying, only 2 coffee mugs. extra pillows would have been nice. A jug of milk would have been appreciated so we could have a much needed tea. The screen door of the shower was broken and missing a panel. We did eat in our room from there restaurant menu provided .The meals were lovely.

From the review score on Wotif, it made this place sound decent. Don't believe it. When we drove in to the reception area, you could tell how old and unkept the place was with a hole in the wall from broken bricks. Going into the reception was met by a friendly lady who took payment and gave me the key and directed me where to park. We opened the room and saw how outdated it was, with dirt marks on the walls, and turned on the air conditioning to be blasted in the face with a STRONG mould smell, I went straight to the reception to complain and met the same person who said "I'm sorry I just cleaned the room yesterday after people were living in there for 4 months smoking marijuana" The person came in and took the air conditioning apart and cleaned it, after that it was fine . Free wifi speeds were fairly bad, 5mbps down/ 4mbps up, but it's free wifi, so can't say much about that. Next morning we woke up to get ready for the day, and ran the shower for 15 minutes to find there was no hot water at all, being a cold morning I understand it can take a bit to warm up, but after 15 minutes you'd think it would maybe even get lukewarm, but no. After this i decided that was enough and when leaving, I went into reception and told them that it wasn't good enough, our stay was unpleasant and I wanted a refund, and that if she didn't believe us that the room was that bad, I took pictures to show her. She said that she would only give a refund if I deleted all the photos, and I did

It's very noisy with the trucks passing all night long. The room also smelt extremly over powered by hotel cleaners spray, carpets sticky due to this. Rooms definitely need updating. Our tv did not work at all they have not updated to digital tv and NO FOXTEL as advertised. The hotel is over priced in my opinion, you can get a lot better for that price in Rockhampton. Staff lovely.

The exhaust fan in bathroom did not work, the shower screen pulls apart. The chain lock on the front door was broken. No lock on the glass window. The beds were clean and comfortable. The room was more spacious than expected which was nice. We were only provided with 4 towels when we booked for 5 people.

Window didn’t lock, only had fly screen on window so anyone could have got it. Microwave didn’t work. Left charger I use for work behind, called hotel and they only had cord not wall socket. Ordered room service because resteraunt was closed due to short staff, ate with my hands as no cutlery was delivered with meal.

We landed after 8 pm due to a police drama on the Bruce Highway. Tired and hungry after a nearly 4 hour delay. The cook, a true Saint by any standards, took charge and presented us with a feed of lamb shanks, mashed potato, veggies and gravy better than any I have known. The premises are obviously old and dated but we had a good shower, a comfortable bed and a great night’s sleep.
