The Prince of Wales

Good selection of drinks at the bar and our room was very clean and neat. The staff couldn’t have been nicer and went out of their to make sure we all had a lovely day.

What a little gem the Prince of Wales was. The staff were very professional from the moment I entered the pub. The room was small but perfect for myself. The breakfast (full English) poached eggs on request sausage bacon black pudding hash brown beans and tomato & brown bread toast, quality 5*

This was a 1-night stay for work. Booking stated could not arrive until 6pm. When I called in advance and spoke with Simon, he stated I could arrive before that time, just to knock on the door and you would be let in (as I was arriving on a Monday and the pub does not open until 6pm on Monday's). Good greeting by Simon and I was in room 1. It was cosy, and good enough for a 1-night stay. Decor was dated but okay. TV was okay as was ensuite. I ate at the venue in the evening (they only cook for residents on a Monday), and it was lovely (steak, chips and salad). Breakfast in morning (included in price) was good cooked breakfast (not served until 7:30am unless request made). Nice little find, when nearby will be back.

Excellent stay at the Prince of Wales. The owner was fantastic and very friendly. I had to leave early for work so could not make the breakfast time, however the owner offered me a goody bag to take away with me. Would stay again when in the area.
