This is an excellent place to stay overnight on a trip to Scotland located just off the A74 near Gretna Green. The main business is for weddings with lots of rooms for guests. it was very quiet when we stayed - we were the only guests! The food from the main menu was excellent. All the staff were friendly and helpful. BUT it is not really a place to stay for more than 2 nights. It is more of a motel than a hotel. Breakfast finishes at 9am and dinner orders at 8.30pm If you are staying for more than 1 night you will have to ask for your room to be cleaned though fresh linen is provided daily.

We had a nice overnight stay. The room was clean with plenty of room. The bathroom was big with a good shower. We both enjoyed the evening meal in the bar area, nice food good portions and nice staff. There were two weddings being held so the restaurant was closed, which was fine for us but other guests might have enjoyed a meal in the restaurant. The only thing we felt that could be improved was the breakfast. It would have been nice to have some pastries, some fruit and fibre as another cereal choice and also muesli. I also feel that the quality of the bread could be improved. Overall, the stay was good.
