Good Points - Friendliness of Staff, from Booking In to Cleaning Rooms and Serving Breakfast was 1st Class - Shower Powerful and Hot with No Temperature Fluctuation. Good Full Breakfast - Within Walking distance of various Restaurants and Take-aways. - Fairly Secure Parking - Bad Points - None. - However, we were there during end of October 2023, and Dartford Town Council seem intent on destroying the Town with Road Closures and Delays everywhere - it was a 10 minute drive from Front of Hotel to their Car Park at Rear of Hotel.

Anyone giving this hotel a review which defines it as very good is misleading future guests. It barely qualifies to be described as good; no more, no less. It’s very good value (free car park and breakfast included) but on the whole this is a tired place. My room looked like it had last been decorated or refurbished 20 years ago, at best. It was advertised as superior but I’m not sure what it was superior to. It was bog standard. The carpets in the common areas looked like they were laid last century, and most recently hoovered a couple of years ago. Worn, filthy and dilapidated. Yes, the staff were friendly and efficient, but I feel like that should be the minimum standard in hospitality, rather than something that merits significant praise. There were cleaning materials left in the breakfast area, in the same place as food and crockery. And finally, if f-bomb-peppered racist banter is not your thing, then neither is the hotel bar. Even at 6pm.

The building is or should be a Listed Building, so much character. Ok no lifts rickety old floors and stairs, but that just adds to the experience. Really friendly staff, room ckean and well presented, cleaned and restocked every day of my stay, a rare thing in modern hotels. Good breakfast. I really enjoyed my stay.

This was a 1-night stay for work. I was in room 107 and it was a good sized room with a large ensuite (watch out for the step down into ensuite). Tv and wifi were okay but bed was not comfortable. Nice large bath towels. Free parking at rear of venue - need to drive up as if you were going into public car park. Breakfast (included in my room cost) was good and hot - I had the full cooked breakfast.

The pub it self had lots of history and was very interesting to look around. The rooms were not what we were expecting for a superior room it was very basic, The shower door was loose and fell off its runners, the cushions on the bed were all ripped. The handle on the bathroom tap missing and all the trim around the bottom of the shower was coming of. Bathroom floor could of done with a good clean. We only stayed for one night of the 2 nights we booked and went elsewhere for the second night

The reception was not manned so had to check in at the bar. The building is old but that is no excuse to not clean to a high standard. Issue is it all needs refurbishing. All a bit quirky, uneven floors, lots of steps. No excuse for hairs in the bath plug hole. No soap. The last straw was no hot water in the morning. Breakfast was ok so I was less angry when I checked out. Staff apologised but just gave me an email address to write to. Bed very uncomfortable. £143 badly spent. It’s a shame as it could be so much better.

Clean and tidy. Very friendly staff and good food, both evening meal and breakfast. Had poached eggs on toast cooked to order and they had nice runny yolks. Room a little tired but good value including breakfast and parking. Will stay again if I'm in the area. Just be aware that the car park is around the back, do not let your sat nav take you to the front door, you can't park there.

The hotel is situated on the high street, central to everything you need. We had air con in our room which was welcome. We ate in the hotel which was very nice and reasonably priced. The room was big and comfortable and very clean. The breakfast was lovey also. I have to mention the cleaner we had because she was lovey and always asked us if we needed anything, she was very attentive. The bar area is lively with plenty of seating available. It wasnt cheap but was worth the money, lovely place, nice food, great staff. Will definitely visit again

The hotel was run down, musty, dirty and unwelcoming. The bath was littered with hairs behind a mouldy shower curtain - no way was I going to shower in the morning. The carpet and floors had seen much better days, but I daren’t think about that for too long. We did consider just leaving, but luckily the beds looked clean and they were comfortable enough so we stuck it out. The room was stifling, with only one window able to open, sadly that didn’t help as it just enhanced the pub goers noise which went on until 4am! Terrible location, leaving couldn’t come quick enough as we hurried past a punter tending his 10am beer. Staff seemed to want to prolong our suffering by leaving us waiting at the desk/bar whilst they finished a personal conversation in front of us. The only bright star in the place was the lady at breakfast - so friendly and genuinely lovely, I hope she receives the recognition she deserves.

On arrival the room was set up as a double but was soon rectified into a twin. Team were welcoming and friendly. Food was very good and plentiful bed were comfortable room was clean bathroom perhaps needed a little touchup but otherwise a very comfortable stay

This was our second time staying here. We stay when we go to Brands Hatch for the BSB racing. The hotel is convenient and has parking. The rooms are old and tired and could be cleaner but bed linen and towels are very clean. The food in the bar wasn't great But we found a fab Chinese down the road. Breakfast was nice but it was a shame they didn't start serving until 8am on weekends, this meant we couldn't have it on Sunday as we would arrive at the racing too late. The bedroom was incredibly hot but a fan was provided which helped a bit.

We found two bottles left in our room one empty and another one with what looked like mouldy coke just left on the windowsill. The hallway to our room had ripped carpet which was also wet as the roof was leaking! The room itself was okay just noisy until around 11 o’clock at night due to the bar downstairs.

I stay here for the convenience and location to where I need to be. Second stay here. The staff are friendly and welcoming. I had a queen size bed which was lovely and comfy. Breakfast was also nice. It’s a lovely old pub/hotel with a friendly atmosphere. Would recommend.

Good Points - Friendliness of Staff, from Booking In to Cleaning Rooms and Serving Breakfast was 1st Class - Shower Powerful and Hot with No Temperature Fluctuation. Good Full Breakfast - Within Walking distance of various Restaurants and Take-aways. - Fairly Secure Parking - Bad Points - None. - However, we were there during end of October 2023, and Dartford Town Council seem intent on destroying the Town with Road Closures and Delays everywhere - it was a 10 minute drive from Front of Hotel to their Car Park at Rear of Hotel.

The hotel was run down, musty, dirty and unwelcoming. The bath was littered with hairs behind a mouldy shower curtain - no way was I going to shower in the morning. The carpet and floors had seen much better days, but I daren’t think about that for too long. We did consider just leaving, but luckily the beds looked clean and they were comfortable enough so we stuck it out. The room was stifling, with only one window able to open, sadly that didn’t help as it just enhanced the pub goers noise which went on until 4am! Terrible location, leaving couldn’t come quick enough as we hurried past a punter tending his 10am beer. Staff seemed to want to prolong our suffering by leaving us waiting at the desk/bar whilst they finished a personal conversation in front of us. The only bright star in the place was the lady at breakfast - so friendly and genuinely lovely, I hope she receives the recognition she deserves.

The building is or should be a Listed Building, so much character. Ok no lifts rickety old floors and stairs, but that just adds to the experience. Really friendly staff, room ckean and well presented, cleaned and restocked every day of my stay, a rare thing in modern hotels. Good breakfast. I really enjoyed my stay.

This was our second time staying here. We stay when we go to Brands Hatch for the BSB racing. The hotel is convenient and has parking. The rooms are old and tired and could be cleaner but bed linen and towels are very clean. The food in the bar wasn't great But we found a fab Chinese down the road. Breakfast was nice but it was a shame they didn't start serving until 8am on weekends, this meant we couldn't have it on Sunday as we would arrive at the racing too late. The bedroom was incredibly hot but a fan was provided which helped a bit.

I was initially concerned about the noise and people as it is a pub and I was staying with my teenage daughter. But there was no need to worry it was quiet clean, food was lovely staff friendly. Town center. Would stay there again.

The hotel is situated on the high street, central to everything you need. We had air con in our room which was welcome. We ate in the hotel which was very nice and reasonably priced. The room was big and comfortable and very clean. The breakfast was lovey also. I have to mention the cleaner we had because she was lovey and always asked us if we needed anything, she was very attentive. The bar area is lively with plenty of seating available. It wasnt cheap but was worth the money, lovely place, nice food, great staff. Will definitely visit again

The lovely lady at the reception was kind and accommodation our request. We always appreciate good effort and manners. The old pub hotel is really unique and beautiful .You can certainly breed history and atmosphere there. The only bad side is the area but nothing to do with this lovely pub.

Always stay here when working near London, usually free parking 20% off food and drink and a lovely free cooked breakfast. This time it was a continental breakfast due to the kitchen been refurbished. I was vey disappointed.

We got an email to advise us to book a table to eat in the restaurant, I rang to book one and told us kitchen was closed, shame nobody let us know, breakfast was pastry’s from Lidls , 99p for a pack of eight, breakfast looked quite sad 😔 nobody approached us to offer us any toast, small plate with a few slices of ham and cheese on it. Overall a little disappointed.

Clean and tidy. Very friendly staff and good food, both evening meal and breakfast. Had poached eggs on toast cooked to order and they had nice runny yolks. Room a little tired but good value including breakfast and parking. Will stay again if I'm in the area. Just be aware that the car park is around the back, do not let your sat nav take you to the front door, you can't park there.

This Biulding oozes history and charm. While it is clearly a little tired and basic on the accommodation, which is reflected in the price. The breakfast was exceptional and amazing value! (it was inclusive). All of the staff were friendly and welcoming. Chloe stood out in particular, she was very enthusiastic and informative telling us about the history of the building and going that extra mile in customer service and attention to detail. PS pay the extra for the megga breakfast..... it was only £2 more.

We chose this Hotel because of it was supposedly close to Brands Hatch race circuit ( 6.7 miles ) it is actually nearer to 15 miles. we found it very difficult to locate and no hot food was available for evening meal or breakfast. All that was was missing was Basil Faulty.

This was a 1-night stay for work. I was in room 107 and it was a good sized room with a large ensuite (watch out for the step down into ensuite). Tv and wifi were okay but bed was not comfortable. Nice large bath towels. Free parking at rear of venue - need to drive up as if you were going into public car park. Breakfast (included in my room cost) was good and hot - I had the full cooked breakfast.
