I understand the differences between 4- and 5-star hotels and the reasons for their different prices. However, some issues have nothing to do with star ratings, which is why I am writing this review. I originally booked a Deluxe room and was offered an upgrade to a Deluxe Plus room upon arrival. I accepted and paid the additional cost. That was the beginning of my stay. Of the hotel’s two elevators, only one was working because the other was under repair. To make matters worse, the out-of-service elevator would often respond when called. I was assigned Room 204, which hotel management described as one of their best rooms. Unfortunately, street noise could be heard clearly day and night, making it difficult to rest. The breakfast buffet was very disappointing. The selection was limited, and the few hot items available were cold and greasy. The orange juice was among the worst I have ever tasted. One day I returned to the hotel at around 5:00 PM and found that my room had not been cleaned. When I complained, I was told that housekeeping had already left for the day. There were no clean towels or fresh linens. After waiting more than two hours for a solution, I had to complain again just to receive clean towels. Finally, because my flight departed early the next morning, I saved those towels so I could shower before leaving. At 5:00 AM, there was no hot water. These are not the kinds of problems I would expect to experience at a 4-star hotel.

Great stay, beds comfortable, rooms not noisy, breakfast dishes different as we are from Australia. great location for walking around Budapest Would highly recommend. Thanks

Reservation all straightforward. Staff helpful about check in. Room and bathroom in good order. Bed and pillows and linen very comfortable. Not luxury but good standard. Room a little dark and early morning noise disturbing in the room I was allocated. Generous breakfast and wide range of items on offer. Building and communal areas rather tired, doesn’t make a great first impression. Good value, location fantastic.
