The Tambo was close enough to walk to all the shops and restaurants but also just outside of the city center chaos. We were able to get a good sleep without the bother of city noise. It was only a six minute walk to get to the center of the fun. The property was well equipped and exceptionally clean. They even held our bags while we were hiking and the laundry service was dreamy.

This hotel felt quite comfortable and calm. It was a lovely oasis in the city. There are a few courtyards that were so nice to sit in. I was in a group of 9 people and many of the rooms had bathtubs that the other ladies were very happy about. The rooms were lovely, spacious and clean. The breakfast was great where we were able to order eggs the way we wanted them done and there were choices of many other foods. We could order latte, Americano and cappuccino coffees, which were included in the breakfast. The hotel is located a short walk to the San Pedro Market, and about a 15 minute walk to the Plaza de Armas. It is on a side street which made it quieter, but close enough to restaurants and shops. We stayed in 3 different hotels while in Cusco, and they all had their unique great qualities. This hotel was more upscale and very comfortable.

This was a great hotel me and my family were able to enjoy our stay, they also provide oxygen masks for anyone who needs it, and the service is amazing. The breakfast was delicious and the staff friendly. Highly recommend this place it was very adorable and comforting.

What a cute charming place. With excellent location in Cusco. The staff was super friendly and the food was really delicious. The only caveat at the restaurant was that the service was a bit slow.

It’s a 10 minute walk to Plaza de Armas. Breakfast has hot and cold options, they cook the eggs and make your coffee to your liking. The bed was comfortable. The staff were nice and they kept our bags while we go overnight to Machu Picchu.

The rooms are around one of the two peaceful courtyards. Lovely to relax in the courtyard where tea and coffee is always available. Reception is always helpful and polite. A short walk to the main square. A very enjoyable stay.

The building is beautiful and the room was spacious. Staff was kind and the breakfast was wonderful. Not very easy to navigate if you have mobility issues. Tub has a large step up and down and breakfast is upstairs only with no elevator. No amenities such as water in the room to drink, staff wasn’t very helping in assisting us to get to airport, etc. We stayed in the Wyndham for the first part of our trip and enjoyed that experience much more.

Really great boutique hotel in Cusco. It’s on a fairly busy street but manages to be very quiet. The staff were incredible. We booked several nights before our Salkantay trek and one night afterwards . We were able to leave our luggage while we were out hiking and upon return the staff booked us into the same room as previously and had our bag waiting there for us. Fresh flowers on the tables in the public spaces, filtered water and hot tea at the buffet made our stay so very comfortable.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in two seperate rooms as our trip was seperated by a 4 day tour. The hotel kept our luggage safe during our time away. Both the rooms we stayed in were comfortable, clean and well presented. The bathrooms were especially nice with very warm water and wash products available. The staff were also very welcoming. I wpuld recommend this hotel.

We arrived early and the staff was very helpful and friendly and let us check in early. The rooms are very old and outdated. They were dark and with ants on the bathroom. And no ventilation in the bathroom. Breakfast was also ok.

The staff was very friendly. When they took us back to our room the door was unlocked and windows were open and they knocked on the door as if someone might be in there. The room itself was fine but the towels all had holes in them and the contents of all the bottles of toiletries were not really what they said they were. The bottles looked high end. The contents for the hand soap was cheap dish soap and the lotion was like glue. The shampoo and condition were maybe a hand soap. Not sure but definitely not shampoo and conditioner. And the breakfast was insulting. Granted we went at 9:40 and it ended at 10 so the pickings were slim. I would not recommend this hotel.

Very clean hotel and a close walk to the main square. The breakfast in the morning was fantastic! Very nice and helpful staff. Very clean. If you are looking for a cost place to stay in Cusco would definitely recommend you stay here.

Lovely boutique hotel. The check-in was easy and fast. The staff are welcoming and very friendly. The room is decent size and very clean. The hotel’s courtyard was a plus…very serene! They provided free coca tea and breakfast. The location is about 8 minute walk to the town plaza!

Large comfortable room, wonderful staff. Beautiful Cusco architecture, quiet and relaxing. Peaceful gardened courtyards were you feel you are alone despite fully capacity. 14 min walk to historic region and 6 min to the city Market. We are recommending this to our friends and family.

goods: very clean bathrooms are beautiful staff are super friendly great breakfast good location Cute looking hotel needed improvement: very slow internet connection, disconnect easley walls are very thin can hear whole conversation of my neighbors I know its an old building but lots of random noises, like the heater. Having to go to bed early for tours and random very loud noises wake you up, not good. But for the price I still think this place is good overall. I stayed here 5 nights total.

The room was really nice and the staff were lovely. The big rooms meant that it got very cold especially as the sun went down. The heaters didn’t come on till 6pm and the turned off at some point during the night and there was no way to override this.

Quaint and very clean. Charming courtyard with hot tea and water available. Staff was very helpful and courteous. Only cons: WiFi didn’t work in our room and there was no door on the shower. Enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

The place was beautiful, secure, quiet. It looked like the Encanto movie! The surrounding area is also safe to walk around. Breakfast was okay, but it was part of the stay so can’t complain about that! It was relatively warm in the room, but not as bad as other places. The nights were cooler, so all we had to do was open the window if it got too warm. There is an upstairs part in every room (I believe) that is such a cute sitting area with a mini fridge. The only thing I’d be sure you’re aware of if staying with friends is that there is no bathroom door, just a curtain separating bedroom from bathroom. The toilet does have a door, but it’s like a stall, so it doesn’t hide any noises. So just be aware of that if wanting extra privacy. Otherwise, it was great!!

We really enjoyed this hotel and staff were very friendly. Very conveniently located around 5min from the main square in which allowed us to explore around every apare time we had between tours. All tours were either able to pick us up or we were very close to the meeting points. They made breakfast boxes to go every morning that we couldn't stay for breakfast as some tours started from 4am. Highly recommend this place, room was very comfortable and showers were amazing. Teas and water available at reception and super close to amenities.

The staff was exceptional. They all are so friendly and professional. They were particularly helpful to us when we needed extra help dealing with some unexpected travel issues. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Cusco.

The receptionist has bad customer relations skills. After two plane rides we had landed in Cuzco and the taxi from the airport could not take us all the way. He dropped us (two adults and two kids under 10) off 2 km away from the hotel apologizing for the festival traffic and making us walk with 4 backpacks and 3 suitcases the remaining distance. I arrived in the hotel, they had 0 customers. The lady at the desk did not even stand up and greet us. Then, we got our key and went to the room. I cooled down (from sweating) and went back to chat with her. Two weeks prior I sent them an email for a hotel pickup. I showed her the email, she looked on her computer but didn’t tell me if it was there or not. I also called Expedia, spoke to them and asked if they could also send an email in Spanish, to which they did and cc’d me in. He dropped us (two adults and two kids under 10) off 2 km away from the hotel apologizing for the festival traffic and making us walk with 4 backpacks and 3 suitcases the remaining distance. I arrived in the hotel, they had 0 customers. The lady at the desk did not even stand up and greet us. Then, we got our key and went to the room. I cooled down (from sweating) and went back to chat with her. Two weeks prior I sent them an email for a hotel pickup. I showed her the email, she looked on her computer but didn’t tell me if it was there or not. I also called Expedia, spoke to them and asked if they could also send an email in Spanish, to which they did and cc’d me in. I stayed here for three nights with my boyfriend while visiting from the U.S. The room was very spacious with a king sized bed and a beautiful bathroom. Everything was very clean and they provided soaps, lotions, and hair shampoo. Downstairs by the entrance the staff has hot water and different types of teas available at all hours, which is so nice to come home to after a long day! The complementary breakfast was delicious and they made our eggs and coffee however we liked. We left for a few days to do the Inca Trail and the hotel staff held our luggage for us until we got back. An all around amazing experience here!

We stayed in this property again after our overnight trip to Machu Picchu. Our bags were waiting in the room when we arrived which was very nice of the staff to do as we were very tired. The restaurant in the hotel was so convenient for us as we didn’t have energy to go out. We had an early flight, lucky breakfast opens at 6am. Thank you Tambo del Arriero Hotel Boutique.

Really great boutique hotel in Cusco. It’s on a fairly busy street but manages to be very quiet. The staff were incredible. We booked several nights before our Salkantay trek and one night afterwards . We were able to leave our luggage while we were out hiking and upon return the staff booked us into the same room as previously and had our bag waiting there for us. Fresh flowers on the tables in the public spaces, filtered water and hot tea at the buffet made our stay so very comfortable.

This hotel felt quite comfortable and calm. It was a lovely oasis in the city. There are a few courtyards that were so nice to sit in. I was in a group of 9 people and many of the rooms had bathtubs that the other ladies were very happy about. The rooms were lovely, spacious and clean. The breakfast was great where we were able to order eggs the way we wanted them done and there were choices of many other foods. We could order latte, Americano and cappuccino coffees, which were included in the breakfast. The hotel is located a short walk to the San Pedro Market, and about a 15 minute walk to the Plaza de Armas. It is on a side street which made it quieter, but close enough to restaurants and shops. We stayed in 3 different hotels while in Cusco, and they all had their unique great qualities. This hotel was more upscale and very comfortable.

The room was super cute and rustic and roomy. The hotel was clean. Heat is only available from 5pm onwards but this seems to be a standard for all hotels in the area. Decent breakfast buffet. They have a restaurant on premises which was super helpful to have when I didn’t want to step outside the hotel for a meal. Restaurant does not have any vegan options. The area of this hotel was not that great. We had several incidents in this area that felt threatening and unsafe. I did not feel safe walking in this area at night. After our return from Macchu Piccu, we stayed in a different hotel and the difference in the area was stark. I’m glad we stayed somewhere else because otherwise we would have always viewed Cusco as dirty and unsafe based on the area of this hotel. Front desk Staff was helpful.

El Hotel se ubica en una zona muy tranquila, y a unos 15 minutos caminando de la Plaza de Armas. Me alojé en una suite Deluxe, y para mí sorpresa no había perchas/toalleros para las toallas, no disponía de babuchas/zapatillas de usar y tirar (a pesar de disponer de albornoz y jacuzzi), y, aparte de body gel y shampoo, no había ningún tipo de complementos de uso personal. De resto, la habitación espaciosa y muy limpia, y todo el personal muy amable (sobre todo la señorita de Recepción que se encontraba a las 7 de la mañana del día 25 de Enero)

We stayed here for 3 nights before doing the Inca trail. The staff were courteous and let us check in early. They provided us with breakfast to go and stored our bags while we were hiking the Inca trail. It happened to be my birthday on the last day and the staff brought a special chocolate dessert to my room. When we returned, our bags were already moved to our new room. The restaurant onsite serves delicious breakfast and we also had dinner once which was amazing. The hotel is centrally located and it’s easy to walk to Plaza de Armas and many restaurants from there.

I like this hotel as it is not right at the center therefore not so many cars are passing by like close to the center. We do have to walk to center for dining and shopping options but it’s a short walk. The staffs are nice. I like the courtyard and room decor has an authentic feel. But the restaurant on site is not good. Food is very blend and no taste. I would stay here again but will not eat here again.
