This was my 3rd visit to this property and I had an excellent time. The front desk staff was welcoming and very helpful with Checking into the hotel. Alejandro & Mike kept my room in tip top shape with amenities & towels. A wonderful pool and hot tub area next to a full bar poolside. Overall a super vacation at New Orleans House.

Great staff, friendly and helpful. Always spotlessly clean. My room had a door onto the balcony on the famed Duval Street which was a great way to watch the Holiday Parade. The balcony is also where the complimentary breakfast is served. I was fortunate enough to have coffee making facilities and a microwave in my room but it was nice seeing the city wake up as you took your first coffee. The upper floors require navigating steep stairs, although they have rooms on the ground level. Took me a couple of attempts to come to grips with the electronic key cards, but that's because I'm an idiot. The property has a huge garden bar as well as a great sundeck. There's no restaurant onsite but you are just a few feet away from some of the best restaurants Key West has to offer. It's a mile long island, so everything is close by. If you want to be in the heart of Duval Street nightlife. This is a great option.

The best part of this hotel is location: New Orleans House is walkable to shops, restaurants, and bars. There are two bars on site: Bourbon St (which caters to LGBT community but is also open to the public), and the back garden bar which has a pool and hot tub (men only). The staff was very friendly, and the room was quiet and clean!

Can’t beat the location. All the employees were fantastic - from the front desk, to bar staff, to housekeeping, everyone was so welcoming. It’s important to remember that it’s an older building, so if you want the Hilton, then go stay there. The back patio bar is clothing optional, but not required. There are plenty of people doing both. No pressure, no discomfort. Would definitely stay again!

The continental breakfast was convenient but just pre-packaged selections, nothing fresh. The pool area could use some TLC/updating. The music at the pool was way too loud, so it was difficult to carry on a conversation or just relax. It would also benefit from a more restrictive smoking policy, e.g. only allow in designated areas. That said, it is in an excellent location, worked well for us and we would stay again.

I stayed in room #1, which has a small balcony facing the back. Be aware, this room gets all of the noise from the back bar; if you stay in this room, don't plan on sleeping until about 3 AM. The shower is big, 2 to 4 guys can fit comfortably (get close!). The room has a mini-fridge, which i used to keep seltzer and juices, but there are sodas already in it when you arrive. There are several bars on the ground floor, and straight people will drink here all day and night. The back bar has two pools and plenty of chairs. Be aware that there is nudity at night. Parking can be a challenge. There is a very small, private lot on the left side of the hotel on Petronia Street. When you check-in, the Clerk will give a discount code to use for the parking lot. Lastly, I visited a theater and a cinema (both on Eaton Street, close to Wendy's hamburgers). This is a good way of supporting the local artists' scene.

The staff was very attentive, and the location is wonderful. they also give you free tickets to a drag show as well as two drinks a night, so you saved some money. the room was manageable, but I do wish they would update the blinds which needed fixed. besides that, it was clean and centrally located and like I said, they give you some good deals on entertainment.

Great party place, maybe a little too great if you are after a romantic stay. We stayed in the room 1, you could hear the music from the back bar/pool until 4 in the morning but at the same time, you are not in the centre of the party like some of the downstairs rooms. Reception guy gave us a warm welcome and showed the properly (you get some free drink vouchers too). Property needs a little work doing in some places, but it shouldn’t spoil your stay. In overall great stay, if you like to have a good time.

I used Expedia which said there was 2 food options at the location. There was not. Parking was on a first come first serve basis in a near lot, which thankfully was available. Stephen at the desk was friendly and very helpful. The bed was not comfortable and please get new pillows the ones in the room are worn out.

Such a friendly welcome at check in! Told us all about the property and the area around it, could not have been a better check in experience. We had a "cottage" room on the ground floor with a kitchenette. The room was spacious and clean. Our room was near the downstairs bar, but the room door was 100% soundproof, and when it was closed, we heard NOTHING. We loved it!

I stayed in room #1, which has a small balcony facing the back. Be aware, this room gets all of the noise from the back bar; if you stay in this room, don't plan on sleeping until about 3 AM. Anyone can enter through the bar without being a paying customer. Locals, off duty employees, and drag queens who perform across the street get preferred treatment over paying guests. One bartender in particular was very dismissive towards paying guests. His name was Brian. There were three bartenders named Brian, this was the Hispanic looking twink. Asking for a beer seemed to be an issue for him as he was busy entertaining his friends and off duty employees. We paid $2300 to stay at New Orleans House to be treated like we didn’t belong by this Brian character. One couple who was there the same week actually left and stayed at another resort because of how they were being treated. Bottom line, if you’re looking to stay at a gay resort, go with Island House. It will cost you a bit more, but I hear the service is Impeccable.

The property is very nice and private. Rooms very clean. We stayed in 23A right on the front deck. Awesome. There was an event that we had a primo great view from second story. Wonderful location. Steven front desk very nice a knowledgeable. Hardy at the bard was so down to earth. They knew the area and gave perfect recommendations to restaurants and shopping.

Hotels that offer packaged muffins and cerise should not be allowed to offer free breakfast as an incentive. Even the hotel staff informed us when we arrived that we were better going out to breakfast.
