This is a nice place in a very convenient location. Can walk to many things. Bonus if you like to use a pool, you can walk to one for a day pass. The only downside is that it is not real quite.

Great Clean, Budget price motel in an old area of town, very close to the beach and Lighthouse. Small parking Lot. Not many restaurants just drive-thru food nearby so keep that in mind. It is older and hasn't been Updated but it was clean and the bed & linens were comfortable

Good location near McDonald's little Caesars and Safeway. The room was quiet. No road noise. Heat worked well. No AC. No need for AC in crescent City. Parking is tight. TV is small. Bed a bit soft but no back ache. Towel were old and rough. Room coffee was marginal. Never enough sugar for me. Overall was a good value. Will stay there again.

Pros: The room was older, but in good shape. We had an upstairs room and the view was wonderful. Across the street from The Point of Honor honoring all branches of service. Staff were pleasant. the story boards around town about the tsnuami that hit the city were very informative. Cons: No hair dryer in room, I asked for one at the desk to use in the morning, but it didn't work. I went to ask for a different one, but office didn't open until 9. At 9:30, still no one at the office. Bummer.

Look it's a cheap hotel right on the ocean it's fine. But there is no air conditioning just a fan and my husband and i were both kept up all night itching. No bed bugs just something in the sheets was so itchy. The bathroom is painfully small like you have to put one leg in the bathtub to squeeze onto the toilet. Not the hotels fault but the roadway had sirens and honking and yelling all through the night. It's perfectly fine but it's definitely not what was advertised.

The Front Street Inn was, surprisingly, a quite nice place to stay. Staff was friendly and helpful at check in. The place is dated, we even had an actual key to the door. But, it was very clean. The bed was comfy and the shower worked well with lots of hot water. There is no air conditioner, but the temperatures in the area rarely reach the mid 70s. We had a great view of the ocean and opened the window a bit for fresh sea air. There was some traffic noise in the morning since it is situated on a corner. It was a great deal and close to the Redwoods.

Hot shower & clean bed linens. Thin walls, mold & mildew, paint scratched off throughout the room. My allergies & asthma would act up whenever we were in the room...it smelled & felt musty.

We stayed here for two nights trying to save some money. Don’t do it, spend the extra money and pass on this one. The room was filthy, towels extremely thin, Wi-Fi terrible, parking lot tiny, no air conditioning, mattress worn out, no breakfast, lots of road noise. I’m 5’7” and I had to bend down to get my hair wet under the shower head. Couldn’t wait to leave. The lady in the office was nice, the man not so much. It’s a roof over your head but that’s about it.

The price was good but the unit smelled and looked old and rundown. Also, the tub/shower valve would not pull out to turn on until I pulled VERY, dangerously hard. Next time we visit the Redwoods we'll stay somewhere else.

Didn't find bed bugs but we got bit up overnight. No A/C so when keeping window open at night you could hear the constant beeping from the nearby marina. We booked for 4 adults and had to practically beg for more than 2 towels. The property was clean enough but it has not been updated in years. Shower head was positioned about 64" high making it difficult for men to shower. 1 coffee packet provided, no kleenex.

Room and service were great! The lighthouse near the property had a horn that sounded every 10 seconds or so all night for the two nights that we stayed there. We did have a room with an ocean view, so I don’t know if you could hear it in every room, but it definitely made it hard to fall asleep.

We booked it that evening knowing we would need to stop somewhere in the Crescent City area, and knowing there might not be any rooms left if we didn’t book ahead. Luckily we arrived at approx 11:50pm and got checked in before he turned in for the night! He and his wife were very kind and gracious through the whole check in check out process. Our only issues: bathroom was really small, the microwave hadn’t been cleaned out from someone’s cup-o-noodle boil over mess, and there was a little mildew on the shower curtain - but it’s an older building. Overall we were happy with our stay!

Great location! Great Price! Bike/Walking/Park/Beach just across the street. Hotel was full but quiet even tho we slept in and they were housekeeping. Farmers Market you can walk to on Wed and Sun. Alice and Nathan take pride in this Hotel and make sure it is a wonderful friendly experience. They remind you that if you need anything at all, they are there for you. Super experienced, diligent hard working. I was going to come alone, then my husband decided to quit working and go with me. Alice was able to upgrade our room to an ocean view, so we could just relax and we extended our stay an extra night. Just wonderful!!!

Unfriendly service that begrudgingly gave us a room that was handicap accessible ONLY after telling me they could not. I then asked for a refund so we could find a motel that could accommodate disabilities, so then the clerk gave me a room key telling me it was because she HAD to accommodate. The room was small, inconvenient, and the "kitchenette" was actually the bathroom sink. We slept on top of the bedspread because we didn't feel good about the place.

This is a budget motel and does not try to present itself as anything else. The owners we SO nice and welcoming. And it appeared they ran the whole place- including the cleanings- all on their own. Though the motel is dated, their friendliness made up for some of the things the hotel lacked.

Traveling south with my mom and brother, and saw that this hotel was close to the beach and offered the 3 beds we needed. However, upon arriving we learned our room was up a flight of stairs (with no elevator which is hard for older folks!). The room had a musky odor, and the beds were very uncomfortable and squeaky. The sheets had dark hair stuck to them. The last straw was the presence of homeless people all around the location, making us feel like we were not safe there overnight. It just wasnt going to cut it for us. We found another room last minute and didnt even unpack our things.

Room and service were great! The lighthouse near the property had a horn that sounded every 10 seconds or so all night for the two nights that we stayed there. We did have a room with an ocean view, so I don’t know if you could hear it in every room, but it definitely made it hard to fall asleep.

Great Clean, Budget price motel in an old area of town, very close to the beach and Lighthouse. Small parking Lot. Not many restaurants just drive-thru food nearby so keep that in mind. It is older and hasn't been Updated but it was clean and the bed & linens were comfortable

The manager was prompt and friendly, the room was older and somewhat run-down but very clean and with all that we needed: comfortable bed, good heat, fridge, fine shower and a Thai restaurant a block away, all for a very inexpensive price: $71 total!

It’s right across from both the Veteran’s Memorial and the park on the oceanfront. A bit of road noise, but not bad. Great dining at Elise’s Eatery right around the corner.

This was a basic hotel room that was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The two chairs and table were handy for eating takeout. We enjoyed the view of the beach and water. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. When I requested an extra pillow at 10 p.m., they quickly obliged. The hotel is dated, but it is well maintained and again, very clean. If you want new or a bunch of amenities, this may not be the place for you. But if you want a comfortable room at a low cost for Crescent City, I highly recommend the Front Street Inn.

We stayed here for two nights trying to save some money. Don’t do it, spend the extra money and pass on this one. The rooms were pretty clean. We could see the ocean which was great. The family rooms were ok. The tv was in the kids room so we couldn’t watch alone. The tub didn’t drain well. Traffic noise is loud. Overall it was an ok stay
