Delta Hotels by Marriott Riviera Nayarit, an All-Inclusive Resort

This property is gorgeous. It definitely seemed more family friendly so there were lots of young kids. There are only a few meal options but they were good. The staff and service was amazing save for a couple of unfriendly encounters. The spa…AMAZING. The staff was wonderful and my massage by Ashley was literally the best I’ve ever had. I didn’t have time to take full advantage of all the amenities the spa had to offer though. Our room stayed nice and cold and fridge well stocked. This property is a little out of the way from things to do so our taxi rides usually cost about $40usd each way (to go to Nuevo Vallarta) but only about $15 each way to go to Sayulita. We enjoyed our time!

Every jacuzzi is cold literally the same temperature as the pools and staff starts adding chlorine and Chemicals at 8:15pm even though they close at 9:00pm. Pool bars all close at 6pm so if you want to hangout in the cold jacuzzi after 6pm you will have to walk over 1/4 mile up a steep hill in between drinks.

Tower 6 has the best pool, it's in the sun all day. Snack bars have better food than the buffet. Towels can be hard to come by, don't wait to get fresh towels. The beach had best service (thanks Susana). Morning buffet is busy at 10am and dinner buffet is busy at 8pm.

Our room was the farthest away from all amenities. The pool and restaurant that was suppose to be near us was under construction. The room smelled like sewer really strongly at times but the bed was comfortable and room had all the amenities needed. I like to walk but to get anywhere it was simply too far and we had to take the golf carts , that is, if you could get them to answer the phone to send them. I asked to be switched to a different building and they delayed until we were going to be leaving the next morning to say they would switch. The resort is lovely but mostly shaded and even the hot tubs were not heated. The tempiaki place could only get us reservations at 430 , which is way too early to eat dinner! It was really delicious though. Drinks in the lobby and rooftop pool in bldg 6 were the best. There were 2 other buffet restaurants as well and they were ok. There is a yummy lunch spot in bldg 6 on 2nd floor that we really enjoyed as well. The beach club was beautiful and a huge added bonus. I think this would be a great resort if you had small kids because it was really geared for families, I would not return for this reason but for those with kids, they may really enjoy it. Also lazy river was relaxing but needed a touch more movement.

It was great family friendly property which is very peaceful and quiet with amazing pools and water park. We really enjoyed the food .. especially buffet. Wish there’s some kind of laundry available. The staffs were Awsome too.

Nice gym facility with Matrix new equipment. Could have maybe a 2nd restaurant to mix it up. Overall very happy with this resort great for young family and Jungle Mountain vibes. I would add a small pool at the beachclub would be perfect for little ones who cant go in the ocean easily.

Delta hotel is a very different option to stay. The hotel is nice and within the mountains and has access to a beach club which is 15 minutes away that is embedded in a small town. The beach town has very limited space for the size of the hotel. You need to call very early to book a spot on the 10 am vans to secure a good spot. If you arrive there by 11 be prepared to be at the very back and to probably find no spots. Towels are not provided there you need to carry them all the way from the towel area from the hotel. There is good food and drinks service at the beach club. At the pools area there are only drinks no food or snacks. Waiters do not remove that often used glasses or cans so you can see a lot of them just lying around. The adults jacuzzies are used by kids and no one says nothing even though you report that to the hotel staff at the pool area. The pools are nice though, lots is them within the mountain. The lazy river is amazing. The restaurant options are great, specially the Tepanyaki. The pantry is simple but enjoyable 24/7. The tacos and quesadillas at the central garden are good. The golf cart service around the hotel is great! The hotel lacks of a good store with basic need articles, it is useless so be prepared to do a stop at the pharmacies that are on the way to the beach club to buy almost anything you may need such as toothpaste. The day you leave the staff personnel start knocking your door 5 minutes before 12 pm which is check out time.

El resort es increíble, instalaciones espectaculares, comida y bebidas extraordinarias. Sin embargo al tener demasiados árboles y plantas las albercas se ensucian constantemente de hojas y ramas. El club de playa es muy pequeño y se encuentra en una playa pública, durante mi estancia me tocó ver que derivado de una coladera tapada en calles aledañas al club, había desbordamiento de aguas negras corriendo a un costado del club de playa, desafortunadamente esa agua daba al mar. Además del olor insoportable a drenaje, las calles aledañas son de terracería (demasiado lodo y hoyos) durante mi estancia. Es una estupenda opción sin embargo es necesario llegar en automóvil; facilita la movilidad.

Complejo grande, tienes que caminar mucho, la atención del personal y la calidad de los alimentos bajaron con respecto a otras visitas que tuve donde todo estaba buenisimo y todos eran muy atentos y amables, aunque también había demasiada gente por ser temporada alta. Las habitaciones huelen mucho a humedad. Las albercas algunos días se veían con agua turbia. No me disgustó del todo pero bajo su calidad respecto a años previos.

There was animal feces of unknown origin floating in the lazy river, and housekeeping never showed up. If you request towels or water in the morning, you have to call three or four times and you’ll only receive them late in the evening. From the top building to the restaurant, you either have to be prepared to walk for 40 minutes or wait 40 minutes for a cart. This was a terrible hotel experience I never want to go through again.

Our first room had feces/throw up on the wall near the toilet. They then moved us to another room that was dirty and in disrepair. The service was horrible and the food was disgusting. My daughter threw up all night from the food. When we went to the beach club, they told us to book with the lobby and then said nothing was available. Then we complained and got a ride in twenty minutes with no one even on the shuttle. When we got to the beach club, there were no lounge chairs and we were told too bad, you will need to wait in the restaurant which is not what we wanted to do. My daughter asked for a menu at the beach club and waited for an hour with no menu that came. Overall the resort is dirty and the food and service are horrible. Would never recommend or go back here. We ended leaving after two days as we couldn’t handle it.

The resort is wonderful, full of natural beirut and charm, we truly enjoyed the staff and the pools durring our stay. everyone was kind and friendly to myself, my husband and our 12 year old son. The Komerabi Japanese restaurant was by far the highlight for dinner, the other restaurants are well stocked buffets with fresh food that is not bad but nothing amazing. The taco truck is fun and offered fresh made quesadillas and tacos grilled to order which we enjoyed.The rooms were great, clean and up to date with newer furniture and amenities. We were in tower five at the back of the property and had no trouble with walking to everything except tower six, that was definitely easier with a shuttle, overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would love to return!

I didn't like the smell on the bed, smells like was not clean and humid

I recently stayed at this hotel and, unfortunately, it did not meet my expectations. While I understand it’s not a 5-star property, I was hoping for a more enjoyable experience overall. From the start, the hotel was under maintenance, which impacted the overall ambiance and convenience. The layout requires a lot of walking, which becomes exhausting and impractical, especially when trying to reach basic amenities. The beach area was a major letdown — extremely small, overcrowded, and poorly maintained. There was an unpleasant odor, and it appeared that drainage water flowed directly into the beach, making it an uncomfortable and unsanitary spot. I stayed only 30 minutes before leaving. Service wasn’t much better. The bartenders were not very friendly or welcoming, which made the atmosphere less enjoyable. On top of that, the food was of poor quality, lacking both flavor and variety. Overall, this felt like a 2 to 3-star experience at best. I really expected more and would not recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a relaxing or enjoyable vacation.

Overall was a decent experience, but there was a lot of issues we had during our stay. The biggest one was that our room after checking in had a horrible smell to it and it took way too long for them to take care of the issue and ultimately get us a new room.

The surroundings were beautiful. My kids loved all the different pools they had including the lazy river! Loved how they had the food truck with freshly made tortillas right in front of you for tacos. We were in tower 6 and the bathroom had a frosted glass wall so it didn’t feel very private. The light stayed on all night on the balcony and sadly the curtains didn’t close all the way so there was some light that was able to get in. They only had one hook on the bathroom so with a family of 4 it was hard to hang up all of our towels. In the grand scheme of things those are very minor and overall this was a great place to stay and the staff there was wonderful and very helpful.

Beautiful property, lots of walking but also lots of transport on golf carts, those guys were great. I had rented a car and the valet guys were great too. Actually ALL the staff were great, very accommodating. Food was a mix, sometimes really good sometimes meh. Always good salad and little desserts. 2 buffets, one mexican, one italian and a taco truck with handmade tortillas right there. Only complaint was my room felt old and dirty in places even though I know it had been cleaned. The view was beautiful though and the bed was super comfy so I didn't care as much, but really they should replace the couch.

Great resort! A perfect getaway for R&R. Both the room and the common areas are quite comfortable, there is a lot of nice pools, the food and drinks are great and the staff is so friendly and helpful.

I went in mid October 2025 with my 16 year old son and nephew. We are from Vancouver BC Canada. I'll give an overview of what we loved and what we did not. The resort is beautiful, relatively new, super lush and offers a wide array of pool adventures. The rooms are large and super comfortable. The beds! The pillows! It's a dream to dream in those beds. The decks have stunning jungle views. Staff went BEYOND our expectations! From front desk reception to restaurant staff to housecleaning. Top notch service. The golf cart rides were a highlight, we absolutely loved hailing a ride and enjoying the breeze. The cart drivers are so personable and were always available. Don't let the size of the property discourage you. You'll be happy walking within each area but will only need the cart to get to the other areas. We loved the beachclub, the shuttle was easy to use, service was top notch and the best food on the property. The infinity pool is amazing The downside - The teens didn't enjoy the jungle pools (lazy river) because they found some poop from the animals in the trees above. But the younger kiddos there were having an absolute blast. The grounds are super clean, the pools too. I love the jungle canopy - and random animal poop sometimes happen lol The food was ok. Hate to say it The location was super remote. They DO NOT allow uber on the resort. You'll pay a pretty penny to get anywhere. Taxis in PV are $$$ Overall - GREAT service GREAT beds, huge rooms GREAT price

1/5 – Shockingly Bad Experience for a Marriott We came here for our long-awaited honeymoon and our baby’s first birthday, and it was an absolute disappointment. Management was completely unhelpful and avoided us every time we asked for assistance. We had confirmed months in advance by phone and email that our room would include a microwave, kettle, and crib for our baby’s milk. Upon arrival, nothing was there. We were then told they couldn’t provide them. After two days of constant asking, they finally brought them. One of the managers, Zoara, was absolutely useless, and the general manager seemed afraid to face us. No accountability or real help — just avoidance and empty promises. Showers were cold every day. The beach was unsafe with steep drop-offs and strong undercurrents. The resort layout is terrible for families; long walks or 30–60 minute waits for golf carts are the norm. Service everywhere was painfully slow — even the taco truck took 45 minutes for lunch. Half the resort was under construction, one of the nicest pools was closed, and a restaurant entrance felt unsafe. We were promised something special for our honeymoon and baby’s birthday — they did nothing. For a Marriott, this was shockingly poor. Broken promises, bad management, cold showers, and endless waiting. Save yourself the frustration and stay elsewhere.

Check in hasta las 5 20pm cuando era 3pm, perdi practicamente parte de planesnimportantes como ir a la playa u otra cosa, quedaron en avisarnos cuando estuviera la habitacion fuimos a comer , nos habian dicho de 3 a 5pm lo cual no llamaron tuve que ir de nuevo y habian olvidado que tenian que avisar, lo malo que son puntuales para pedir la habitacion del check out muy puntales

The staff were excellent, cheerful and welcoming always went the extra mile to accommodate our needs!

The front desk personnel were not friendly, nor did they go above and beyond to make you feel as a welcomed guest. The front desk staff did not provide sufficient information on how to navigate the property, or how things worked at the property, we had to find out as we went along. The food was not good, it was mediocre at best. They only have one restaurant for dinner which is a buffet. They have a Teppanyaki restaurant where one chef cooks for about 15-18 people at once, which takes about 3 hours. Portions are not large, nor can you choose what you would like to eat. The elevators have no safety sensor and almost closed on us standing in the middle, numerous times. There is not sufficient staff to cover the amount of guests. It took almost a hour to get a drink at the pool. The pool opened at 9am yet the staff was barely cleaning the pool and the pool area right before 9am. We had to wait 45 minutes for towels one of the days, when they should have been ready at 9am when the pools opened. The 24 hour pantry that replaces room service, had no selection other than ramen, fruit, coffee, cereal, bread and sodas. If you are not traveling with children, I highly recommend you go to an adult only all inclusive and avoid this one.

Great stay, would come again. Pools are fantastic and the food, room and service were all good. Special mention to Benny in the lobby bar, and Carlos in Huican restaurant, both provided excellent service

This was a total relaxation haven where you have everything you need within the resort. What made the experience amazing was the staff who seem to actually love their jobs. We want to recognize Luis and Carlos (transportation), Wendy, Octavio, Alejandro, (Servers) Dash (Tonati Beach Club) and Fernando our amazing bartender by the pool who kept our margaritas flowing. Housekeeping was great too! We have not met any of them but you guys were great as well. Thank you thank you thank you and we will definitely be back!

El personal no es muy amable, te atienden con mal genio, es muy tardado el servicio. No te ayudan a resolver. No hay suficientes toallas para dar servicio, te tienes que esperar a que haya y no es poco tiempo lo que esperas. Adicionalmente hace falta más carros que te transporten a lo largo del hotel, es mucho tiempo el que esperas para ir de un lugar a otro.

We loved our recent 5 night stay. ( couple ) Property was beautiful and we loved that it was nestled in the mountains giving a different feel from other all inclusive resorts. We loved exploring and mastering the hiking trails up the mountain, then relaxing at the beach or one of the pools. This resort had everything we wanted. While not located on the beach, there were shuttles that run every 30 minutes to take you to the resorts beach club, which was all included in our stay. So awesome.We really enjoyed the infinity pool on the roof of building 6. A serene and quiet option when we wanted a change from the livelier pools. Gorgeous view! Only negative that stood out in our opinion,was the quality and choice on the dinner buffet. While we found the breakfasts to be Really good, the dinner food lacked taste and was uninspiring. We did enjoy the taco truck, teppanyaki restaurant, and the pantry, for coffee, fruit and snacks.

Although there is transportation to the beach, for me this resort was a bit too far. Prior to booking, I only saw that there was a shuttle to the beach but I would not had booked had I known it was actually 3km away. I was thinking even though there was a shuttle, it would still be somewhat of a walking distance. It’s a nice resort, well kept, and staff were great. Lots of pools. Our room was nice and spacious and we were in Tower 4. Variety of food was definitely lacking as well as service in the buffet. Sometimes we were done our meal and still waiting to get something to drink. Not much for entertainment and things to do unless you want to watch cartoons in the evening with lots of kids. We especially weren’t impressed that we had to leave the premises upon checkout. We were told that if we were Marriott members, we could only stay until 1pm. Our flight didn’t leave until almost 7pm so we had to drag our luggage around Puerto Vallarta to kill time. Every other resort we have ever stayed at, has allowed us to stay until it was time to go to the airport. For this reason I would definitely not be back.

This property is away from the hustle and bustle of the city so is great for a relaxing holiday. The shuttle service to the private beach was appreciated. At the beach we could order food and drinks and there were activities for children. At the resort, there are many pools for the children to go swimming or relaxing in the lounge chairs. Great service from the shuttle drivers if you didn't want to walk up and down the hills from room to restaurant to pools etc.

The property itself is beautiful and the mountain location feels really unique and peaceful. I enjoyed the sense of seclusion and being surrounded by nature. Just keep in mind that getting to the beach takes a bit of time, so it’s not as close as the photos might make it seem. Be sure to read through the amenities so you know what to expect. If you’re looking for a relaxing mountain escape, this place is a great choice!

There are a lot of pros and cons to this resort. I’ll start by saying it took about an hour to get there from PVR. It’s very secluded so there is no walking to be done outside the resort. When we got there the staff didn’t seem too friendly. Didn’t look up and greet us for a few minutes. After checking in they gave us our keys with no explanation of where our room was or how to get there, so we were left to figure out how to get all our bags and our toddler to our room. No explanation of the ground or how to get around. There are LOTS of steep hills so getting anywhere on property you have to wait for a golf cart. But everyone else is waiting as well, with no one to regulate who is next. Our room was beautiful and a very nice view. There was a wooden balcony that we didn’t realize till the day after a huge thunder and lightning strom that two of the slates were rotted and came off after my husband touched them. Scary to think of what could have happened if my 3 year old had fallen. The pools were also beautiful and well maintained although if visiting in a weekend try to get up early and save a seat or you will be out of luck. There are 3 restaurants 2 with buffets. Pretty good food for an all inclusive, but nothing to brag about. The one restaurant you have to make a reservation for on the marriot experience app (which also no one explained to us upon checking in) was very good and a fun experience. But hard to get a spot.

The hotel was clean and the staff provides great service. The food is decent, more dining options would still be nice for dinner service. This hotel is great for a quiet getaway as the nighrly entertainment is a movie in the park.. the resort is great for kids but not teenagers. The beach is nice, but I would gave prefered if it was walkable opposed to the shuttle. The last shuttle takes you back to the resort before sunset.

We loved the variety of pools. The kids in the party (10, 8, 6) enjoyed the water park and water slides. The procedure for obtaining and returning pool towels is slow and tedious and should be done electronically. However, our biggest complaint was the lack of choice when it came to food. There were two buffets at the hotel for both breakfast and dinner. Food became repetitive and was at times unappealing. The 24 hour pantry choices were also very limited.

4 time there, and I other times was under construction, and still was quiet. These time was really crowded, and there’s never reservations for the Japanese restaurant. Food always the same. Was my favorite hotel

The entire experience was amazing, only one catch if you booked all inclusive expect to starve for lunch because it's not buffet rather than just a very limited menu , here they could do better but the rest of meals was good and pleasant stay.

This is a beautiful resort. We normally stay right on the beach so this was a different experience for us. Cons - dinner buffet was pretty bad -communication about the resort was almost non existent…except app - not right on beach(but fast shuttle to and from) Pros - breakfast buffet -taco truck -lunch at beach and hotel - they work hard to keep the jungle grounds clean -many pools but they are all small -service was excellent. Great friendly staff -lazy River with kids waterpark. Bottom line we would definitely come back. This is a great resort for families but no nightlife or entertainment if you are used to that. We never had a problem getting chairs. Service was always available for food and drinks at the pool and beach. The night buffet was not good so a lot of the times we would eat a burger at the pool. Beach is very calm waters great for swimming.

Rooms and pools are the highlight. Food although very limited is ok. The Japanese was the best along with taco truck. Buffet was great breakfast but dinners were just ok. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Overall I will recommend this and will visit again

Muy buena atención y servicio, pocas opciones de comida y no hay bufett a la hora de comida, solo desayuno y cena….. la playa a la que te llevan es muy chica …..

We were really looking forward to this trip, but overall it didn’t meet expectations. The food felt like low-quality, generic buffet options you’d find in the U.S., which was surprising given the location. Drinks were poorly made, and the bartenders often seemed unsure of what they were doing. I’ll admit that not speaking Spanish added to the communication barrier, but even still, service felt inconsistent. Transportation was pricey, and the resort itself was overcrowded. For how much this trip cost, I expected much better. Disappointing experience.
