The room was ok ... comfortable enough. Parking was a problem. Their carpark was full ... 'Only 5 minutes walk'. They forgot to mention the hill. Parking cost $45 and a certain amount of exhaustion for us.

The parking system on check in for this hotel is appalling. There are only two bays to park in whilst checking in and check in seems to take a lot longer than 5’mins so it’s not a smooth process. Many people getting angry as cars queues for the two car spots available. Then parking is located a 5-10 min walk from the hotel if you miss out on in house parking, which they don’t warn you about till after you’ve agreed to it.

Elevators are a major concern with no floor buttons inside and automated floor selections. I was level 69 and initially in morning the elevator did not appear for over 7 minutes, then when I stepped inside, a terrified family said they had been trapped in it for 10 minutes already as it never gets to ground/foyer level. We then spent another 10+ minutes terrifyingly going randomly up and down between floors 74 - 34, most empty of people getting in when the doors opened. I rang the 'emergency' phone only for it to ring out after 4 minutes with an automated voice stating a line fault and communicate by another method, which is impossible inside a moving elevator. When we finally reached ground, rushed out and reported it, the reception staff were oblivious (even though we had been madly gesturing to the camera) and seemed unperturbed and generally nonplussed overall, despite our angst. I ended up being late for a very important meeting as a simple thing like a 3 minute elevator ride took essentially half an hour!!

The car park was full so we had to park 200mtrs away and had to walk up hill with my busted knee. Then they charged me twice for the parking. The pool which I was hoping to relax in was closed the entire time.

Staff very pleasant on arrival and helpful. However, coffee machine in room not working, told reception in morning on way out, they said they would replace, told reception again on way in on the evening, they said would replace, had to ring housekeeping in morning to get a new machine sent up which they did. Swimming pool not open, closed for repairs which had not been relayed to us prior to booking, or even prior to arrival. Real shame about the pool and the coffee machine as apart from these two everything else was really great

Parking $45 a day on the property which seemed a good deal compared to public car parks. Suite comfortable, clean, quiet, well equipped for long term stay, and functional. Bathroom could do with a refresh. Easy walk to the river and eating options are varied in the area. Helpful staff. Well equipped gym and there’s a pool.

This once was a very great hotel!!!! The hotel and rooms are now very worn. Missing carpet in hallways, broken elevator controls and worn out furnishings. Hallways smelt of mold and cooking grease. Being a regular traveler to Brisbane (for business) I have stopped at this hotel multiple time over the years and this is by far the worst experience. "Huge drawback"!!!!!. When booking of the hotel a request was made for onsite parking due to a knee injury. On arriving at the hotel I was told they no longer have onsite parking for hotel guest with parking offered at a hefty fee at Howard Smith Wharf. Explained the knee injury again only to be told that they nothing they could do! I enquired about canceling the booking due to the lack of parking but they were unwilling to offer a refund which was very poor form. The lack of parking of hotels issue not the guests. To quote the check in staff member " Well I didn\'t build the building or plan the carpark" Great service all round Meriton Lift the standards

Liked: the view from the 73rd floor. Comfortable beds. Newish furniture. Disliked: small fly infestation in both bathrooms coming from the floor drains. Lumpy and uncomfortable pillows. Express service was not delivered until we called the following day. The unit is relatively old. There is black mold in the showers. The kitchen faucet has a very strong flow and is situated in the wrong location so it sprays over a large area including the floor.

Common area in corridor needed basic hoovering. Used tooth flosser found under table. Base of table dusty. Shower had build up of mould on corners of tiles and calcium deposits on chrome. Safe was old and didnt work. Maintenance team didnt turn up for appointed time to fix. Picture of view didnt not match the room allocation on largely residential 2nd floor.

Great hot water and shower pressure. Great views from the room. Best pillows we've ever used in a hotel. Downside was the room was grubby, hadn't had attention to detail - kids handprints on windows and food smeared on surfaces near coffee table area. Bit of a turn off when trying to relax. the tea/coffee caddy was also sticky like it had been wet, tea bags packets stuck together. But great location and good value price for the room all up. Made our trip in to Brisbane city an easy stay. Thank you Meriton team.

Was staying for two nights, and had day trips planned so wasn’t spending much time at the hotel apart from sleeping. If that wasn’t the case I would’ve contacted reception about the cleanliness. Bathroom had long black hairs everywhere on the floor and the bath, floor was dirty, shower glass was disgusting, bath plug hole had paper and muck in it. Kitchen bench was not cleaned properly. And dryer had a Tshirt from previous guest in it. Other than cleanliness the hotel was good, customer service was good.

The shower area was unsatisfactory. A white powder substance was located on the shower base/ floor - indicating the shower had not been cleaned. The outside waterproof seal around the shower frame required repairing. The air vent from the ceiling was actually sitting on the top of the shower frame. A used coffee pod was sitting inside the coffee machine. So overall the cleanliness of the shower was most disappointing!

Staff were wonderful. Check-in a breeze. The apartment is showing its age. The toilet roll holder fell off upon first use. The bottom of the bathroom door is swollen from water damage. There were someone's hairs on the bath. When about to got to bed at night we pulled the sheets down to find a rather large patch of mold in the middle of the bed. We called housekeeping and they attended, changing the bottom sheet, they were about to leave and we had to request they also changed the top sheet. The next morning there was a knock at the door at 9:10, housekeeping to clean the room. Nearly an hour before checkout. Really?

When arriving at the hotel a foul smell was noticeable inside the room and on the corridor leading to the room. The kitchen area and cooking facility’s were dirty. Informed reception of this and asked to move rooms but this was denied. A cleaner attended the room and sprayed some air freshener which hid the smell for a short period but this soon returned. A disappointing stay as have found Meriton hotels to be of a very high standard when staying in other hotels.

Bathroom tiles need a good clean and the fans checked. Steam sets off the smoke alarm. Had a leak under the kitchen sink which looked to have been previously fixed but not correctly. otherwise the stay was comfortable and won’t let these couple of things stop us from returning in the future.

My room was in level 4 and there was no view. The room was dark, meaning no direct natural light comes in. The room had fluorescent lighting. Strange layout. Bathroom not near the bedroom. Very cold floors. Old building.

Very average experience. Wouldn’t recommend. The parking situation is atrocious, made worse by poor instructions from staff and signage. Don’t hope for a good nights sleep with the constant street noise and ruckus. After 6 hours of trying to remain signed in to the tv so we could watch Netflix or YouTube, we gave up and watched planes landing from the bedroom window. Not a bad view, by any account, but frustrating when you’re paying for a 5 star hotel.

Checked in early and was able to leave a bag even though the room wasn’t ready. They called me as soon as the room was ready. The rooms are spacious and I love the large floor to ceiling windows. Location is so convenient to city, restaurants and walking.

The rooms aren’t in great condition for the money they charge. The room had a rundown feel. None of the windows opened (I’m guessing by design) giving everything a closed-up feel. The washer and dryer didn’t work at all. The bathroom was tiny and only two(!) towels available per room. Wouldn’t stay here again.

We were offered a room on the top floor, which we were excited about. However, very unfortunately, we were being trapped in the lift the first time we went up to our room. We pressed the alarm but it took a while for the staff to respond to our call and for us to get out of the lift. The experience sent one of my family members into panic. We requested a change of room, which the staff was helpful to arrange. However, the new room that we were assigned seemed to be used much less frequently. The cleanliness condition was not comparable to the original room we got assigned. Dust were found on the kitchen table and the towels were not in its best condition. While we appreciated the service of the staff, the accident with the lift to a certain extent had ruined our holiday mood...

I went to check in and was told I wasn’t able to use Afterpay plus which can be used anywhere as it shows up as a master card transaction, I was told I couldn’t use cash to pay for the room I then had to call to get approval from another person whos card I am linked too, to use all of this while being talked down to and in front of other guests and then with a lobby filled with guests my room number was broadcast for all to hear, something I am not so sure should have been said as loud. To room had a whole in the wall and the suite was warm to the point I had the two air cons on and went out to get away from the heat only to come back with one turned off. While I appreciate their are policies and procedures but regardless of a way a person is attempting to pay a person should not be made to feel like fodder which I was I will not being back
