Maryborough City Motel

Shower pressure terrible and too much light from outside and not enough coverage

Although the lady at reception was very friendly and helpful, the motel is unfortunately in a very poor condition. The room was located on the street side and extremely noisy with roadworks and traffic during the day and traffic at night. The door to the room was hard to open, it was stuck on a desk too wide that stopped the door from opening smoothly. There was a desk but no chair to sit at it, shower curtain hooks on rail, but no shower curtain, the small wardrobe had not even one coat hanger, the toilet bowl was in dire need of a serious scrub, the grass in the pool area was in need of a mowing and a tidy up, not an inviting area. I know it is a budget motel and did not expect too high a standard, however some standards of presentation and service should always be maintained.

Older property with older facilities. Good sized family room. Walking distance into city centre. Parking onsite was convenient and easy to access in 4wd. Check-in was easy and good communication from motel. Clean room. Great sized smart TV with internet access, able to log on and watch streaming services.

Room was very close to a major road with no double glazing, room needed more maintenance. Staff helpful and friendly, easy parking
