Staff was great, room was great, but the pool was over chlorinated and everyone who went got red and itchy skin after. I mentioned it to front desk but they just gave me the managers business card.

Great location with lots of attached restaurants and convenient access. Comfortable bed and clean room. Friendly staff The hot tub felt dirty. Very cloudy water, jets didn’t work properly, and not hot. I don’t recommend using There was a swim lesson going on one night? A swim instructor with 2 students were super loud and splashing the whole time. Very weird for a hotel. I don’t think I’ll stay here again. Seems to be a theme with Sandman Hotels in Calgary

Our stay was short but Nadia at the front desk was absolutely fantastic! Parking was easy and lots of spots available and we stopped in at the Tavern and had pizza and drinks - great restaurant to have on your property.

Easy Check-In, great location and very clean with comfortable beds. Only downside but not worth giving 4 Stars was that there is two restaurants that share the same parking lot for the hotel which makes it difficult to find a parking space unless the restaurants are already closed. The other downside but again not worth dropping a star is that the hallways are extremely long which is tiring after a very long day. Try to request a room closer to the elevator.

Hotel was nice. We booked because it has a swimming pool, but the pool was down for maintenance for 2 days that we were there. My child was super disappointed about the pool. I called to upgrade my room the day prior to check in, and was told it wasnt allowed as I booked with Expedia. When i arrived, the hotel had no issues upgrading my room with a fee.

First picture on Hotels.com is of their pool, it’s the main reason we booked here. The pool had been closed for 5 days by order of the health department. Staff were indifferent to our displeasure. Tub/shower wouldn’t drain. We checked out early to find a pool.

Inexpensive, convenient. Toilet had weak flushing power but worked. The Denny’s being attached is the best part and the staff were super friendly. 24 hr gym - There’s always clean, cold water at a gym

Great stay! Used the pool & hot tub, loved the tea bar when getting back at night to make a tea before heading up. Location was about 18 min Uber from downtown.

My only Negatives; Staff were away from the lobby for ~5 minutes when I went to check in, and the hinges to a door in my room were loose. Positives were numerous; Clean pool, building felt clean and luxurious. Multiple dining options onsite were nice to have, Air conditioning worked well. staff was polite, and the room was very nice ( although it should be at the price) Overall, I enjoyed my stay, but would likely search for a less expensive option next time

The staff was accomodating. The hot tub was broken during our stay and the pool is tiny so if your wanting a property with swimming this might not be what your looking for. The resturants are great!

The room seemed ok until I looked closer at the finishings. Baseboards are nicked, bathroom mirror wood surround has a piece right above the faucet missing, bottom of bathroom door is missing paint, mold in the tile grout in the bathroom shower, curtains need to be washed or dusted, ceiling light needs to be dusted, the rug had some stains and the rug was loose. The king size bed seemed smaller than a normal king size bed. Not what I was expecting for the price that we paid. The hallway and reception area seemed nice.

All 6 pillows in my room were made of the recycled foam material. The pillows were tough and very thick. Blanket was very thin. The people I travelled with had normal soft pillows. The chair in my room had a large stain on it.

Bathroom was very dirty and mold in corners of shower. Tub wouldnt drain so u ended up having a bath while in the shower. Shower tiles broken. For a Grande room type, i expected more for this room.

The bathroom needed some maintenance, the caulking around the sink was gross and dirty looking and the tub grout was also not clean. It appeared to have black mold throughout the tub tile grout but otherwise room seemed and rest of the areas seemed clean.

The room (207)was in poor condition. The carpet was filthy and torn, the tub had black mold in the corners and the soap dish looked like it had never been wiped. Add it that the maids starting banging at 8 AM and my room was right beside their work room.! They didn’t care if people were sleeping or not,

Full kitchen came with just a tiny mini fridge that opened the wrong way against the wall and was difficult to access. Room floor seemed dirty - tile floor in the kitchen felt greasy/unclean on check in. We requested morning house keeping twice during our 4 night stay and it wasn’t any better after. Pull out bed was also very uncomfortable (mattress thin and springy) and it wouldn’t sit flat. Our kids slept on it, but I don’t think it would work for an adult. Other than that, everything was good. Location was great for what we needed.

The property is fairly run down. When we got to our room it smelled weird. There were socks left from the previous occupants. There was rice on the floor that hadn’t been vacuumed. The top handle of the dresser drawer was falling off. The shower was discoloured and there was a soft spot in the tub. Overall, not impressed. Won’t stay there again.

The property was good; the room was clean . Disappointingly , we arrived at 1:00 am due to a late flight . We'd been given a room right by the hotel dumpsters and were awakened by the garbage truck outside incessantly , loudly banging . Not his fault , but don't sell this room unless absolutely necessary ! And at a reduced rate !

We had a good stay. My only question, do hotels not remove winter duvets for summer. We had air conditioning but sleeping was hot with duvet. Once removed and top cover on things were much more comfortable for sleeping.

Room was comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. The big drawback was that the room was so poorly lit it was like cocktail lighting. Although there were multiple lamps and fixtures, they all had tiny neon bulbs that gave off very little light! I happened to drop an earring on the floor and had to use my phone light to find it. Also, my room didn’t have a microwave oven, even though there was space for one.

Decent room, but the view was just an hvac unit. Overall comfortable. Concierge ladies were very friendly and went above and beyond to make conversation. Parking was full but not impossible to find stalls. Nice that hotel is close to freeway and shopping area. Liked the accessible restaurant options attached.

Our room we checked in to had a broken tap so we were upgraded, not ideal as we were at stampede all day and this didn’t go down until like midnight when we got back. The woman at check in was amazing and so nice!! We would definitely come back!

I didn’t like how COVID had apparently reduced service. The only way to get your room cleaned, as per other hotel, is to request it. This seems like a cop out. That meant that we had no Kleenex unless we asked. This should be an amenity that is readily provided. Upon arrival there was no one at the front desk to check us in. Someone appeared after 3 minutes. Serive was disappointing.

The property is excellent—beautiful facilities, comfortable rooms, and great amenities. Most of the staff were great and provided wonderful service. Unfortunately, our experience was marred by the conduct of one staff member, Shevaun. Upon our arrival, he was not welcoming and greeted us with a frown, yet moments later warmly smiled at a white guest. This stark difference in treatment appeared to be because of our brown skin color. Later, when we requested towels for our kids at the pool, he seemed visibly upset. Such discriminatory behavior is unacceptable in any hospitality setting and should be addressed immediately.

The man that checked us in, Louis, was extremely rude and continued to ask us very uncomfortable questions regarding our stay in Calgary. He told us the Denny’s on site is horrible and he would never go there, and then proceeded to tell us the Tavern restaurant on site was way overpriced for terrible food. We were really looking forward to both of those restaurants during our stay. Unfortunately Louis ruined that for us. He continued to ask my partner why we were in town, and then told us Calgary sucks. It was truly an awful experience. We were very uncomfortable for our entire stay. When we tried to check out early to find a new hotel to stay at, they told us we would be charged for an additional night if we chose to do so. Stay literally anywhere else. This Sandman is not a good choice.

There were kids in the room above me running back and forth continually. A call to the front desk was taken seriously and while I had to move rooms I was put on the top floor and had a quiet room from then on. Front desk staff was great

Front desk staff was extremely helpful upon check in. Very friendly and professional too. What we didn't like was the delivery truck (in the night (3amish to 5amish) that was right outside our room unloading and loading. Couldn't sleep with the thuds, thumps and crashes of normal work. (windows aren't too thick!) Would stay again, but request an odd numbered room to be NOT against the back alley again. Otherwise it was excellent.

The curtains in our room were ripped and the ceiling in the bathroom is peeling. The carpet felt damp We were given a $15 voucher which we used at Moxi’s they did not provide the $15 credit even after we questioned them about it we were told it would come off of our credit card which it did not.

Staff was great Room was amazing. We had a loft room. Having the three restaurants right there was very convenient. Shopping right there was a plus. Walmart next door and walking distance to Superstore. And many other restaurants and stores were walking distance as well.
