Seabreeze Hotel

They don't have parking and they ask you to park somewhere else. There was coakroaches and bug in the room and bathroom as well. Wouldn't recommend to anyone.

We had a lovely stay at Seabreeze Hotel in their 2 bedroom apartment. It was very spacious for a family of 4. We stayed during the new year break and was even able to watch the fireworks display on our balcony. It is very close to marina which is great for the kids. There’s an allocated parking for guests which makes it convenient. The room has a modern hamptons feel to it. No room service available but it didn’t cause any issues at all. Wifi was a bit slow so we couldn’t really check emails as much as we want to but I guess that’s the whole point of a holiday. We would definitely book the same room again hopefully by this year.

The property is a pub with an accommodation wing separate from the bar and apart from the air-conditioning not working during my 3 night stay the room was reasonable. The room I was in looked like it had been recently updated and the bathroom looked brand new. While the hotel provides free parking it is a small parking area and also used by patrons of the bars. The location is good right in the centre of town and opposite the beach.

The shower was flooding. The floor boards in the room had water damage from multiple times being flooded from the shower. Parking was at the bottle shop and very hard to get a spot due to the fact that in the afternoon everyone would come to the pub. Reception unattended(had to go to the pub)

There was no receptionist. I had to check in and out from the bar downstairs. My room was upstairs, but there is no elevator, so had to haul suitcases upstairs on 70 year old knees. Room had a view of the wall across an alley. It was clean and nice location near the waterfront.

We had a great 3 night stay at the Seabreeze Hotel. The staff was friendly and accommodating, the room was large, clean and comfortable. They had good amenities as well. The restaurant was great and convenient. They had a large menu and a full bar. I would definitely recommend. This was our second time staying here and we would not hesitate to stay again.

Stopped in at the Seabreeze Nelson Bay for a night - great pub dinner, watched the footy on the screen, and had a great sleep in the spacious rooms upstairs… Staff are super nice and friendly.. Would book again for sure…!

Very reasonable price for a clean hotel with lovely room and bathroom.

Our windows wouldn’t close so it was really loud from the pub downstairs. One of our pillows had dried blood stains on them and the shower walls had hair on them. Our sink also had some sort of dried blood or dark liquid around the tile and on the mirror. The location was very convenient though.

Room was very basic. Bed was King size and comfortable. Windows were difficult to open and lock. Lights in ensuite kept flickering as if there was a short. Ensuite was dirty. When we put our towels on the floor they were covered in dirt. Restaurant was first class.

Great location, however our room has mould, we were offered another room to move into. But that room has mould as well. Glasses in our room has lots of dust, dusts on the lamp in the bathroom. Bottom of the coffee and tea bags jars, also has lots of dusts. Thankfully hotel offered full refund.

Only cleaning was bed making each day. Dirty cup just left in basin with water left in it. Nothing else was cleaned, including carpet. Very little storage space for hanging clothes as ironing board, iron, kettle, hairdrier and fridge all in the wardrobe. Reception not manned much. Didn't really see any hotel staff. Basically hotel is a side line. Bar, restaurant and bottle shop more important. Asked for coffee at the bar in the restaurant and was told they really didn't serve coffee despite them standing in front of a coffee machine. This place is good for a 1 nights stay, but not any longer. The upside was the view from the room which was lovely.

Unfortunately this was a very unpleasant stay due to a run down and dirty room. There was strands of hairs in the sink, on the dusty fake flowers in the vase, on the armchairs… soap scum in the sinks, they had not been properly cleaned or disinfected. Greasy handprints on bathroom walls… shower area is open so it leaks all the way to the middle of the bathroom. No foot towel provided. Greasy tv remote which I had to wipe to be able to use. Coffee cups with tea stains. Only 1 spoon provided, which looked like it had been licked and put back in the cupboard. There was only 1 sachet of raw sugar provided (I.e. it was not topped up). There was no soap bar provided by the sink, just shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. The reception was unattended most of the time we were there. Air con was extremely noisy which made it hard to sleep. Carpets all around were grubby and in need of a good carpet clean. Room was big but dark and dingy, windows were opaque. I booked the king room hoping it would be better than the queen as I was told the queen was smaller. I can’t imagine what that room must be like. All in all, I will never stay here again. There is a nice looking restaurant/cafe as well as a public/sports bar attached to this venue. The restaurant looked nice but the prices were so steep we did not dine there.

Large room, fantastic bed, good shower. handy to town and all facilities. Noisy on a Friday night with the band in the bar, although windows closed out nearly all the noise. Air con quiet and efficient

We booked the 2 bedroom apartment which had a great view from a private deck towards the marina. The wooden boards of the deck and balistrade needed to be restored, we were concerned about splinters. The kitchen/lounge was updated but the lounge had a tear in the seat, the tv was large but foxtel didn't work. We found the beds comfortable and the rooms clean but the ducted airconditioning was noisy. There was only one bathroom, which was large, it would have been nice to have the toilet separate with 4 people sharing, and we were puzzled by the lack of towel rails or even hooks in the bathroom. Overall we enjoyed our stay, the location so near to the marina was perfect.

The staff were amazing both in the hotel accommodation and restaurant/ bar they couldn't do enough to make sure you are looked after & catered for in everyway. Loved my stay

Seabreeze is the only place to stay at Nelsons Bay everything is so convenient and the staff are super helpful

During my stay at the property, I was pleased to find it clean and well-maintained. However, the absence of a any staff member upon arrival was a significant inconvenience. There was no guidance provided for WiFi access or assistance for any other needs, which left us feeling unsupported and disconnected. While the property's cleanliness is commendable, the lack of initial hospitality and accessible information for guests was a notable drawback that impacted the overall experience.

Staff were great, location is fantastic and close to everything. Park the car and walk everywhere. We will be back ☺️

Overall good hotel in central part of Nelson Bay. Close walk to wharf. Room was clean and a good size. Couple of minor suggestions. The bathroom has no blind with only bottom half of window frosted with top half clear glass. Would suggest adding a blind so can use the bathroom comfortably. Also hotel has 3pm checkin with 10am checkout. 11am checkout would be better especially on weekend. Still leaves 4 hour window for cleaning (with cleaners still able to start on rooms checking out early)

This was a great accommodation close to all the amenities and just across the road from the marina. The room was spacious and clean and would definitely use again.

Our group had 3 rooms for three nights . The hotel is conveniently located opposite the Marina and on the edge of the commercial heart of Nelson Bay.Rooms are larger than usual .Its an easy walk to restaurants and shops . We ate in the modern casual bistro at the hotel and were delighted with the good quality food .We enjoyed the ambience of the alfresco bar area where locals added some colour . The staff were great and we felt welcome .

Great position, clean felt safe. Staff very friendly and kind. Only one thing was that the cafe/restaurant did not open until 10.00am bit late for breakfast when you have to be out by 10.00am but considering the position it was not a problem to find somewhere to eat.
