Stayed 2 nights

Stayed there for 2 nights; the room was not cleaned between the 2 nights. At the reception, there is a big jar of earplugs; that was a bad sign. There was lots of street noise that woke me up during the night and very early in the morning. very basic hotel, small and outdates

The chap at reception was great, but the property is currently being rebranded, I think, and my room and my cousin's on 5th and 6th floors respectively were tiny and furniture very rough-shod. Not enough powerpoints. To boil the jug for a hot drink unless unplug something else, or use the outlets in the bathroom . The bedside reading light wasnt plugged in, and couldn't be because there was no powerpoint in reach of the cord. There was one down beside the other side of the bed, but there was no bedside table to put it on on that side because there wasn't room for one. However, our friend who was given a room on 2nd floor had a large, spacious room that looked like it had had a recent makeover. Hopefully the rest of the property will receive the same treatment. (And the second lift will get fixed!) The price though was very reasonable, so you get what you pay for, and only a short walk from Adelaide Oval if that's the focus of your visit. Immediate surroundings have noisy nightlife on the weekends, though there are free earplugs available from reception. You'll probably need them.
