Close to everything. Good staff. Parking can be hard.

The property was located in down town Lunen urg, perfect for walking , shopping and dining. The staff were very friendly. The elevator was broken and we were on the third floor !

Room was comfortable and clean. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Only issue was a lack of designated parking so we had to park on the street at a meter. It was okay for one night but would have been a hassle if we stayed longer.

Great location, everything is nearby. Comfortable, clean king room....but tiny bathroom with minuscule shower. (2' x 3') Might be fine for one person! Lovely staff and very helpful with on street parking. Be careful in booking, and ask for a room with a view, and larger bathroom!

Parking availability is a bit tenuous. It is on-street parking so you have to search for a spot. But given that you are right in the heart of the town, it is perfectly located so you can walk practically everywhere. A/C functions well. Elevator works, but is a bit slow. Bed was comfy. Daily maid service. Great place to stay.

The place needs renovations and someplace to park. It took us 4 hours to find a place to park close by. The hosts were very friendly and tried to help but was not in their ability. Should be warned prior

It is a beautiful old building. Cozy and warm with beautiful sitting areas. The room was clean and the bed super comfy.

Checking in was both smooth & pleasant. Room was clean, comfortable & well appointed. Room & washroom amenities were more than adequate. Location is fantastic. Many good restaurants just steps away from the hotel. Sushi by the Cove which is attached to the hotel has an excellent Japanese menu. Highly recommended!

We did not find anything unique about the property. It could’ve been a Marriott somewhere but not quite as nice. The shower was quite minuscule and had the plastic stuff had silicon caulking repaired with something black - maybe mold. The sink didn’t turn off properly.

The carpet throughout the place was badly stained- hallway, stairs, lounge and room. Bed was acceptable. They did help with parking, since there is not lot for the inn. Some kind of equipment caused the floor to actually vibrate, but it did stop by 10P, then quiet.

It was hard to find because the images online did not properly show the actual location. It is not the red building. It’s a street behind Not a real view. We got poor instructions on where to park on the street, had to go back then they told us there was a parking lot. When we arrived at our room, we were not at all pleased with the overly musty and stuffy smell. We don't think anyone had used it for a while and the shower was covered with a large amount of mold. We went down to talk about our concern about the bed the smell as well as the mold, we were not met with a very welcoming response. She was ready to measure the bed as we didn’t feel it was a queen, but that was beside the point. She didn’t seem to have any concerns about the other issues and we kept telling her that the bed wasn’t the real problem. She got her husband involved, when we brought the concerns about the mold and smell he openly admit that he knew about it but had not time to deal with it. They did move us to another room. It was a little better but still not to the standards described on site. The shower had mold in it as well not near the about in the first room but still concerning. We contacted Expedia who contacted them about a refund or discount. They told us they would only give it to us if we left. Unfortunately we were in the town for one night and on our honeymoon didn’t have time to find a new place to stay. They cared more about us writing a bad review then about us having a good experience.

Sleeping area of room was fine, howver, bathroom was very old and not clean (there was lint all over fan cover). Given nightly cost of room I would have expected better

Room was clean and comfortable, complimentary water and coffee in main lobby. Lots of good restaurants in the area. Hallways and common areas could use a good cleaning / paint , replacement of carpets.

Our room was very plain and dated. Utilitarian. Tiny bathroom but the property was very clean and the bed comfortable. It lacked charm but it served our purpose for exploring Lunenburg.

The A/C was unbearably loud. The shower cabin was tiny. The location was excellent.

Room was big and comfortable. Excellent location. There really is no parking and you have to find your own street parking. Bathroom too small compared to the size of the room

A lovely room with an amazing view but let down by the quality of the bedding. Maybe time to retire the sheets, they were well worn and very bobbly, like sleeping on sandpaper? But that’s easily fixed. Other than that a fabulous hotel in a beautiful location.

Great location. Comfortable large rooms. A nice sitting area if want outside the rooms or chairs outside in front on nice days. Not fancy but clean and comfortable.

There is no sound proofing. There was a lounge area outside my door with other guests sitting and talking for hours and conversing with other guests passing by. I complained to the front desk but they did not offer to move me. It continued into the evening. It continued later into the evening. I got no rest.

Not over friendly welcome. Noisy with other rooms and screaming child. No extras, small dark room. Bed comfy, bathroom efficient.

The staff was very acommodating, helpful and friendly! The location made walking to see the sights in Lunenburg easy. And... there's a delicious bakery with excellent fresh croissants and lattes adjoining the Inn.

My room was spacious and clean, and the bed was really comfortable. But the best part of my stay was the warm and welcoming experience from owners Michael and Rita. They offered a really friendly welcome that set the tone for a wonderful stay!

The staff were not friendly and supportive, which made the experience less welcoming. The facilities are standard, lack of hot water in my room after 9pm. Overall, it didn’t feel like good value for the price paid.

Excellent stay and extremely well located next to the waterfront and in very close proximity to the restaurants. Ideal for tourists and those from away. Staff/owners were wonderful and very welcoming and helpful at check in with the baggage and parking. Nice touch and not that common these days. Plumbing/AC/kingbed/flatscreen worked to specifications. We certainly recommend a stay.

The staff (older woman) was rude. Her attitude tainted the whole experience at the hotel. The good: Great location; clean (but dated) bathroom; basic bathroom amenities which many small hotel operators don’t provide anymore; Air-con (loud unit, but better than nothing. The bad: stains on the sheets — needs replacement; scuffs on the walls; dated accommodations; hot water takes a while to heat up, but it does get hot. The shower is a corner plastic stall, so if you’re a big person, showering would be tight. Given the hotel’s location, some update/renovation could make it very charming but in its current state, it’s just a bed for the night. If you’re working in hospitality, you’d think there’d be effort to be welcoming and friendly. Not a repeat for me, especially at this price point.

Michael was really helpful in facilitating our late arrival, helping with bags to the room, providing a good recommendation for parking, and providing a good recommendation for breakfast. Later, he also provided a good recommendation for lunch and for a beach/hiking location.

We truly enjoyed our first visit to Lunenburg and appreciated our accommodation at Smugglers Cove and the lovely family who operates the property! It was very quaint and a mere block from the waterfront! Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Excellent location and parking is basically on the street. Cute room with common sitting room area and many collectibles relevant to the area on each floor. Very interesting and cosy. Nice restaurants within walking distance. Harbour and homes to see all lose.

The property was a great location to everything. We parked our vehicle and walked everywhere for two days. We didn’t want to drive anywhere for fear we would lose our spot. They have limited spaces and it’s not on the property but across the street. We checked out early and drove across the bay to get a few pictures before leaving town. My only other complaint is having to order a breakfast the night before (we didn’t do this) but was told they could make us toast and coffee for $10.00😳 We had a king bed room with a very comfy bed, hot shower with great pressure on the second floor and was really quiet.

Great location! Michael is a great host /owner ! Breakfast option next door to the hotel is an added bonus Michael is so knowledgeable about the area , current and past history and everyone in the town knows him !! All of the beautiful photographs on the walls in the inn , were taken by him - very talented!

Lovely hotel in a great location to explore Old town Lunenberg. Close to the harbor, dining and shopping. Everything was within few minutes of walking distance. Michael and Rita (along with Candace) are such lovely hosts. Highly recommend this hotel to all.

Old. Dirty. No parking. No breakfast. Too expensive. Low value for the cost.

The room was lovely, cool, with a fridge to keep cool drinks. The staff were friendly and helpful. There was a breakfast option for $10 and it was delicious...scrambled eggs, croissant, yogurt and fruit cup and coffee. They helped us unload our luggage as we have mobility issues and showed us pictures of Lunenburg at different times of the year. Would definitely stay again and would recommend.
