Very comfortable and spacious room. No restaurant or food available onsite and even the vending machine was empty, but restaurants and small shops are very close so no real issue.

Great stay, quiet, and clean. Nice loft room. Elevators aren’t a thing in Ucluelet so just be prepared to pack your gear up and down stairs. Not complaining, just a heads up for those that might be challenged with stairs. Will definitely stay again, great place.

This motel is in a beautiful location and has some neat amenities like a communal kitchen, which would be a big bonus for people having a longer stay. Easy walk to cafes and restaurants. Ucluelet is a beautiful town, and for us preferable to Tofino.

We love the view of the harbour, the cleanliness, and the overall affordability of the Canadian Princess. We also really appreciate hearing the sea lions and marine life, as well as the communal kitchen. Location is also great!

Would be nice if there was a restaurant on the property.

Highly recommend staying here. They are pet friendly and the room was one of the cleanest i have ever stayed in. Staff was friendly and helpful. Will be booking another stay next year. 10 out of 10

Rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable but for the price we paid we were disappointed. Needed maintenance updates. Fire table broken, communal kitchen unclean and needed better materials such as bowls. The sliding door didnt work properly, people smoking on balconies every night, pop machines out of order.

Enjoyed the true waterfront location with rooms that have character. Not the standard boring hotel room but still modern and comfortable. Clean. Great layout with separate entrance area and ample closet space. The wood burning fireplace was a real surprise! Easy parking for our large truck. Helpful staff.

We had a great stay here with our 4 dogs. The staff were super friendly and the rooms large and comfortable. We only had one issue (a child jumping above us at 6:30/7am 2/3 mornings) and the front desk was prompt in addressing it for us. Note that the family rooms are all on the second floor. The hotel is in a great location and it’s easy to walk almost anywhere. Lovely view out to the marina, too!

Cute lodge over looking marina! Beautiful views if you have a room that overlooks the water. Staff were friendly. The room was a bit outdated and carpet had some stains. It seems like an older building though so that’s to be expected. Overall great stay.

We recently stayed at Canadian Princess Lodge & Marina. The staff were friendly and provided good service, which we really appreciated. However, our stay was not quite as pleasant as we had hoped. The building is quite old, and when we returned to our room around 10 PM (after checking in around 4 PM), we found a lot of spiders in the room (washroom, windows, coffee area, lamps). Two out of the three beds had visible hair on the sheets, which was very disgusting and concerning from a cleanliness standpoint. It’s really disappointing, and considering the condition of the room, We hope the management takes this feedback seriously and puts more effort into improving cleanliness and maintenance for future guests.

For the price of this hotel, it was very old, carpet was damp and smells of mildew. Thank goodness we only stayed one night.

This property is getting pretty worn and is in need of a refresh. Room smelled musty when we arrived. Not enough outlets and some so loose were almost unusable. Only one clock for threee beds in two different sleep area. Housekeeping did not ensure clock alarms turned off so clock woke us to previous guests alarm! Checkout clerk barely spoke to us.

Very clean, quiet and lovely view. The staff are excellent. The bathroom is newly renovated, spacious and modern. The rooms are newly renovated as well. Pillows are soft and bed is comfortable. Reception guy Kit was accommodating.

The Canadian Princess Lodge located in Ucluelet was in a good location of the town. The shower was decent as well as the beds. The towels were plentiful and soft. The room did have a mouldy smell though, and there was a good view from my sliding doors of the harbour.

Property needs renovation as it's out of date and tired looking. Electric was an octopus of extension cords to one main outlet. Bathrooms have been redone and are nice. I don't like seeing cobwebs.

Old carpets, Why you wouldn’t put laminate in a place which is constantly damp I don’t know. Mirrors were streaky. Blood on one of the duvets.

I rented three rooms for my family and unfortunately, we have issues in all three rooms. Two of the rooms didn’t have enough hot water for a full shower ran out after about six minutes. One of our rooms had a broken TV. They did discount $50 because of the TV and said they would look into the hot water issue. It was an amazing view from the room and the staff were very friendly.

Great location. Spacious room. Awesome view. BUT, terrible insulation between floors. Every step and move from upstairs was loud and enough to wake you up.

We had an excellent stay at Canadian Princess. The Harbour master suite is really spacious and great for multi night stay. Easy to walk into town for meals. Comfy beds. Only complaint is that the building is a bit noisy - you can hear washrooms and kids in other rooms around you. But nothing that caused us to lose sleep or impact our stay. I would recommend staying when visiting the Ucluelet/Tofino area.

Older hotel and it has zero soundproofing between rooms. When the people next door went upstairs into their loft, I thought they were in our room! During the night i could here snoring from that room as well!

Only thing i didnt like was the fact there was no air conditioning in the rooms.....u had to suffer in the heat till the ocean cold air came through, which is around morning time, so sleep is hard to get till around 3/4am

Comfortable stay with young children. We were pleased with the layout of the upper family suite with 2 twin beds in the loft and 2 queen beds on main. Nice balcony area overlooking the garden and inlet. The grounds were well maintained and tidy. We didn’t use the firepit of communal kitchen as there was a bachelorette party using them. We walked to cafes and galleries from here. Beds were very comfortable and we slept well. Friendly staff at the front desk.

I wish i could rate higher!!! The staff at this facility went over and above for us they were so accomidating and so fantastic!!! We truely felt so special and honored on our honeymoon and would highly recommend to anyone looking for an amazing place with outstanding staff and views! A true 1 of a kind stay that will forever be a wondeful memory for our new marriage and a place we will return too!!!!!! Thank you again for everything!

Staff was very friendly and helpful at check-in. The location was lovely and close to a lot in Ucluelet. Marina was beautiful at night. There are two parking lots - lot 2 is gravel so its a bit tricky to maneuver but doable. We look forward to visiting again in future trips! Great price & great location! Our only concern was that the bathroom door was off the track and was difficult to close/use (would not close unless you lift it up and tried to lock it in place).

Clean rooms and friendly, efficient staff. Also lots of fun board games and books available in the lobby for rainy days.

Comfortable beds in a spacious suite with balcony. Great views over inlet, marina and mountains. Helpful front desk staff. Walls a bit thin, so noisy neighbours can be a problem. However, front desk helped by enforcing the noise policy so all quiet when needing to sleep. Wouls love to stay again.

Resort should tell ppl quiet time after 10 not just post it. Upstairs neighbours stomped and dropped things till 1am and started again at 6:10am . Told them next morning “sorry about that” disappointment that there was no other better response.

This was our second stay at this hotel. While our first visit was fantastic, this recent experience has left me uncertain about returning. The room itself was clean, but we experienced an ongoing issue with the toilet repeatedly filling with suds—staff said it due to its proximity to the laundry room. What was most disappointing, however, was the boat dock reservation process. One of the main reasons we chose to return to this hotel was for the dock access, but securing a spot turned out to be a hassle. I contacted the hotel well in advance and was told I’d be added to a list, with no confirmation until closer to our arrival. A week before our stay, I followed up again and was told no spot was available—only to later be assigned a very shallow dock where our boat would hit bottom at low tide. To make matters worse, several dock spaces remained unoccupied throughout our visit. It’s also concerning that dock spaces are being rented out to non-hotel guests. I strongly believe that hotel guests should be given priority for dock reservations, especially when that amenity is a key reason for choosing the property. The staff are friendly and make an effort to be helpful, but at times the service lacked follow-through. I requested extra towels and tissues multiple times and didn’t receive them until I went to the front desk myself. Overall, this stay fell short of the expectations set by our first visit.

We enjoyed our stay. Staff was friendly and the rooms were very clean. We were were able to walk to several pubs and eating establishments although Ucluelet is very hilly. Not as touristy and expensive as Tofino but about 30 minute drive away.

the property was in an ideal location - able to walk to heverything!

Beautiful location, comfortable beds, but thin walls; could hear others guests talking (our neighbor knocked on our door before 11:00 p.m. asking us to be quieter - we were talking in normal voices as we were winding down to go to bed. It should not have sounded that loud.) Our view was beautiful and the staff were warm and welcoming. Good parking. The community kitchen was an interesting and nice addition; it was large and fairly well equipped, a nice option for those mooring at their docks. We often travel with a few breakfast items for simplicity and the ability to toast our bagels and refreeze our ice packs was convenient. The only complaint about the kitchen was that the garbage wasn’t emptied and it smelled badly of fish and garbage, and the dish cloths hadn’t been refreshed on the second day-they had been well used the day before. It was relatively clean else from that (users are expected to clean after themselves). The room itself was very clean and comfortable. The layout was very nice, if a little dated. We were upgraded to a suite with a loft which was useful because we had a friend join us for one of the nights. Overall a very pleasant experience. We would absolutely stay again.

What a wonderful little place. Staff were absolutely amazing, could not hear any other rooms, beautiful views right on the water, shared kitchen area perfect for a family BBQ. Just everything about it was perfect. Thanks to all the staff

The location was great overlooking the marina etc. The sounds from the unit next door kept us up until after 11:00 pm. People or kids running around and up and down the stairs. The property is listed as a resort but it does not have a restaurant or offer breakfast just a communal kitchen.

A perfectly adequate place, but not worth the price, and the "resort office" sign should be changed - this isn't a resort. Instead, it was a motel experience with resort pricing. The coffee cups in our room were chipped, and the communal kitchen was shabby and lacked an electric kettle and a complete set of dishes (no bowls, lots of plates). The beds were comfortable, and the area was quite quiet at night. We had a view of a tidal mud flat.
