Beautiful location, accommodation separate from main part of the inn, which gave privacy and low noise, the main inn and garden were stunning, wish we had stayed longer, will definitely come back.

The building, dining area and bar are very nice. My room was great. I had a difficult journey due to traffic and severe weather so hadn't booked to eat. They served me a meal, so I was lucky, but food service closed around 8pm. The waiter asked me to tip. I was going to anyway, as always do unless service is bad. But staff should not ask customers to tip. We are not in the USA.

It's great character and perfect location. We returned to the hotel about midnight after taking a relative home after a great meal. Parking over the bridge and walking across the car park in the dark was quite challenging. I did report it and suggested some low level lighting would be helpful even if it were sensor operated. They took note and said it would be brought the Managements attention. Would be very happy to return and to recommend.

Lovely friendly staff in a lovely position just off the main road. Executive room was very comfortable and good size, which was in one of the cottages opposite just across the road. The evening meal and breakfast we had was really nice and tasty. The bar and dining room was traditional in some places and cosy. Would definitely recommend a visit.

Unfortunately the kitchen was out of action for dinner but this couldn't be helped and we were notified before arrival and given advise on local places for dinner. The staff were friendly and very helpful and the pub itself and garden are in a great location next to the river and just off the main road. I stayed in one of the rooms across the road rom the main building, a good size bathroom with plenty of space and a good shower although the ceiling could do with treatment. the room itself had plenty of space but the windows needed a clean and there were cobwebs in the net curtains. Overall this was a great stay for a good price and wouldn't definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful 2 night stay at The White Hart Inn! We were warmly welcomed and thoroughly looked after by all staff. The rooms were clean and comfortable with beautiful serene surroundings. We went on a lengthy walk from the pub up to Castle Combe and back down through the village of Long Dean that was absolutely stunning. Highly recommend a stay here to slow down and enjoy nature, would love to be back in the warmer months to enjoy the outdoors of the pub and the surrounding area.

All staff were polite and friendly from the minute we arrived, room was clean, tidy and nicely decorated. Evening meal in the restaurant was lovely and breakfast was plentiful. Would recommend and definitely stay again.

Lovely location and setting, however they are very tired bedrooms. Service in the restaurant both evenings was well below expected. Food was good though. We had no hot water for our 2nd night nor in the morning. Bathroom in dire need of a refresh. Mattress was very soft. Room smelt of sewage on 2nd night. Apparently due to a septic tank issue. No offer for compensation. New manager as of 2 weeks ago so I hope he pulls things up as this place has the potential to be fab. I would expect a refund for our 2nd night.

A lovely one night stop over while visiting the Chippenham area with friends. The pub is in a quiet village and has nice outdoor seating overlooking the river. The staff were friendly & helpful and the service good. Our room was comfortable, with ' free' tea/ coffee and home- made cookies (very nice). Breakfast was freshly cooked to order and fruit / cereal/ pastries were available. We really enjoyed our stay

Delightful hotel. Amazing staff. Super friendly and really went out of their way. Lovely, small, relaxed, dog friendly country hotel. The sous chief was especially good and created a lovely main for me.

We had a wonderful 2 night stay at The White Hart Inn! We were warmly welcomed and thoroughly looked after by all staff. The rooms were clean and comfortable with beautiful serene surroundings. We went on a lengthy walk from the pub up to Castle Combe and back down through the village of Long Dean that was absolutely stunning. Highly recommend a stay here to slow down and enjoy nature, would love to be back in the warmer months to enjoy the outdoors of the pub and the surrounding area.

A lovely one night stop over while visiting the Chippenham area with friends. The pub is in a quiet village and has nice outdoor seating overlooking the river. The staff were friendly & helpful and the service good. Our room was comfortable, with ' free' tea/ coffee and home- made cookies (very nice). Breakfast was freshly cooked to order and fruit / cereal/ pastries were available. We really enjoyed our stay

It's great character and perfect location. We returned to the hotel about midnight after taking a relative home after a great meal. Parking over the bridge and walking across the car park in the dark was quite challenging. I did report it and suggested some low level lighting would be helpful even if it were sensor operated. They took note and said it would be brought the Managements attention. Would be very happy to return and to recommend.

Unfortunately the kitchen was out of action for dinner but this couldn't be helped and we were notified before arrival and given advise on local places for dinner. The staff were friendly and very helpful and the pub itself and garden are in a great location next to the river and just off the main road. I stayed in one of the rooms across the road rom the main building, a good size bathroom with plenty of space and a good shower although the ceiling could do with treatment. the room itself had plenty of space but the windows needed a clean and there were cobwebs in the net curtains. Overall this was a great stay for a good price and wouldn't definitely stay here again.

The building, dining area and bar are very nice. My room was great. I had a difficult journey due to traffic and severe weather so hadn't booked to eat. They served me a meal, so I was lucky, but food service closed around 8pm. The waiter asked me to tip. I was going to anyway, as always do unless service is bad. But staff should not ask customers to tip. We are not in the USA.

We had Bybrook room,it was lovely, comfortable and clean. Food was very good. Stayed for 3 nights and ate at the restaurant every night. Breakfast was good. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Would use again when up that way. Highly recommended.

Lovely friendly staff in a lovely position just off the main road. Executive room was very comfortable and good size, which was in one of the cottages opposite just across the road. The evening meal and breakfast we had was really nice and tasty. The bar and dining room was traditional in some places and cosy. Would definitely recommend a visit.

Nice hidden away place to stay in a picturesque area. Our room was opposite the pub and was decorated well. We had an evening meal at the pub which was nothing special but we went for ease and they had a good choice.
