Great place to stay. Loved the Inn and the surrounding area. Loved the staff. Somebody forgot to tell us they had an elevator in the back of the Inn. We had to carry our luggage up a lot of stairs. But besides that, it was great! We will be going back

An absolute haven of a place to stay. A complex of no outlet brick roads, restored period buildings, and modern facilities to enjoy in the bedroom. Great beds, and a great breakfast in the complex restaurant. This facility is unique! I would definitely stay there again. Uber connections are great too, outbound and inbound. Few local folks know about the complex, and it’s adjacent to Fort Conde.

Be aware that this inn consists of several smallish buildings. My building had no ice machine, so a bit of a hike if i wanted a cool drink. Nice vintage style room. Tucked away in downtown waterfront area. Felt very safe. Unique property. I definitely plan to stay here again and sample some different room types.

We love staying here when we are in Mobile. We have stayed here pre cruise. They offer parking while you are on the cruise, which is a nice bonus. The breakfast is at a small bistro on site. The food there is delicious. We had dinner and breakfast there. I highly recommend staying here any time you visit Mobile or just passing through.

Nice staff. We wanted a downstairs level and was put on the 2nd floor. We put the request because my husband can’t climb and your elevator was broke, also breakfast Was very late 8am, normally 6-7, so for a 1 night for this didn’t work. Won’t stay agan

We stayed here the night before our cruise. Even though we only stayed the one night, we were greeted and treated liked vauled guests. It was a beautiful property and our room was very clean and comfortable. We were able to leave our vehicle on property while we were gone for the week and it was no extra charge. We will definitely stay here again.

We Love love this property. Easy to get to. Felt safe. Beautiful! We only seen the front staff she was wonderful. Going on a cruise so this makes it a perfect place to stay. For $5 a person a golf cart picked us up from the hotel and took us .25 of a mile to the cruise terminal. Get to leave our car parked here for free. Well worth it! Can walk to terminal if you want.

Beautiful, well-maintained hotel in an historic building. Friendly and useful check-in staff. Excellent location, close to downtown without being in downtown. Walking distance to major Mobile sights. I have stayed here before and it was great. However i spent a weekend here and was given a room that was extremely close to the interstate and it was very loud all night and day. Also the room was across the street from main house and there is no fridge or microwave so no ability to have food there over the 3 days. The ice machine was across the street in main housr that is locked at night. I went to ipen window shades to ket in some light but the amount of dust was unreal so i had to close them back there are 4 windows with tons of dust. Overall the room was ok however i feel like wirh a 3 day stay they should have at least given me a room where i could keep some food cold or at least microwave something.

Check in is at £3.00 pm and not before. Even though my wife wanted to get ready for a very important and emotional family meeting added to the fact she had tripped on the path and cut her knee we could not get into the room before 3,00pm. When in the room it was stunning but I do wish they had cleaned all the grubby finger marks of the doors, I cleaned them with soap and water and they came off easily

Beautiful five star building operating with staff about what one would expect from a motel six. The people were nice, they just did not appear trained in hospitality. Shouting up and down the hallways in the morning at each other. Finishing their own private conversations while a guest is waiting to talk to them. Leaving out beautiful envelopes requesting tips while leaving dust bunnies and used Kleenex under the bed.

It was a very updated historic hotel. The beds were amazing. The air conditioning was ice cold which was great since the area is extremely hot and humid. It was super clean and the shower, I think, was perfect in temperature and pressure!

Fort Conde is a really charming and quiet hotel which was perfect for a short stay in Mobile. The room was a good size, everything was clean and worked, and the bathroom was large and the shower worked well. I’ll definitely stay here again when I’m next in Mobile.

I really enjoyed my stay here! I would say my two pieces of advice for future guests would be that "breakfast included" is a bit of an overstatement. There's a $3 charge per guest and if you accidentally order a cafe au lait instead of a coffee like I did, you'll be charged for a coffee off of the regular menu and pay $6. So our first morning we had a "complimentary" breakfast that cost $17. My second piece of advice would be to bring some earplugs. We were right next to the interstate, so we could hear honking all night. Also, because it's an old house, you can hear your neighbors come in and out and up and down the stairs. However, the staff was so sweet and the facilities were great.

Very nice old house with beautiful details. This place not suitable for people with moving disabilities because of steep stairs. Our room was located closest to the motorway so the noise of heavy traffic kept us awake at night. If you want a good night sleep ask fir a room somewhere futher away from that road. Walking distance to the city. Note that breakfast in the bistro is not totally free.

Beautiful place, the only downside I think are the rooms aren’t quiet in the morning. You can easily hear footsteps above you and movement outside. But other than that, it’s a beautiful hotel with unique history. Right there by the cruise port! And a short walk from dauphin street

We thought the room was clean, spacious and comfortable. So many things to do in the area that are walkable. The breakfast across the street was fantastic for a minimal fee. We would definitely stay here again if we visited the area.

The room was very comfortable, and the jetted tub was amazing after a full day of sightseeing. The only issue I had was that the photos of the room at booking showed a clawfoot tub, which is not the tub in the David room. That being said, the jetted tub was probably better overall. The bed was a little soft for my taste and transferred movement too well. It was also waist high, which was a little hard for someone 5'2" to climb up into. The booking also doesn't have that the room was on the 2nd floor with no elevator, which made me regret not breaking out our luggage into 2 smaller suitcases. Overall, it's an amazing hotel, I would just ask for a little clarity on which room is being booked and the accessibility issues. Definitely recommend the breakfast that is included. The bistro staff are top notch friendly and the food is great. After using our Keurig at home for so long, we had forgotten how good real coffee is, and we probably overcaffeinated ourselves as a result :D

Very welcoming staff. Really helpful when I had to extend my stay for 2 more nights at the last minute. Only unpractical things were the 1) lack of accessible ELECTRICAL plugs to connect laptop or phone chargers & 2) wifi was not really fast enough for business purposes with VPN. The room did not match the pics. I even decided to upgrade for a larger room and I got the back of the building, it was stark, not cozy. Getting a tub instead of a shower did it for me.

We stayed in a 2-queen room for a couple of nights and we're quite satisfied with the experience. The inn consists of a bunch of old, but well renovated homes. Our room was spacious, clean and fairly well equipped. The beds and pillows were comfortable, the tv had plenty of choices (Directv I think) and the room was very quiet.

Arrived late. Was told there would be a note with explanation of how to get into room, with main entrance key and map. There was no map. Main entrance key did not open main entrance door. We called after hours phone and left message. No one ever called us back. EVER. Great property within a few minutes walk of downtown for plenty of dining options and and Dauphin Street. Staff is incredibly welcoming and helpful if need be. Room are terrific - clean, comfortable, etc. We loved our stay.

Beautiful five star building operating with staff about what one would expect from a motel six. The people were nice, they just did not appear trained in hospitality. Shouting up and down the hallways in the morning at each other. Finishing their own private conversations while a guest is waiting to talk to them. Leaving out beautiful envelopes requesting tips while leaving dust bunnies and used Kleenex under the bed.

Nice staff. We wanted a downstairs level and was put on the 2nd floor. We put the request because my husband can’t climb and your elevator was broke, also breakfast Was very late 8am, normally 6-7, so for a 1 night for this didn’t work. Won’t stay agan

Such a nice little area. The inn was wonderful! We were going on a cruise. The location was so convenient to the port and the option to have free parking at the inn was great! Definitely plan to come back.

An absolute haven of a place to stay. A complex of no outlet brick roads, restored period buildings, and modern facilities to enjoy in the bedroom. Great beds, and a great breakfast in the complex restaurant. This facility is unique! I would definitely stay there again. Uber connections are great too, outbound and inbound. Few local folks know about the complex, and it’s adjacent to Fort Conde.

Beautiful place, the only downside I think are the rooms aren’t quiet in the morning. You can easily hear footsteps above you and movement outside. But other than that, it’s a beautiful hotel with unique history. Right there by the cruise port! And a short walk from dauphin street

This was such a neat place to stay... Just minutes of safe walking from historic downtown Mobile. The Sanger theatre and basilica cathedral were only half a mile and many sights and hotel restaurants were closer. Fort conde was not open the day we were there but you could still walk around and see the signs. The room and historic hotel were just lovely and comfortable!

The property was easy to locate and walking distance from downtown. The room was very comfortable and clean. The breakfast was good with a minimal charge. The staff was professional, but only slightly friendly. Freight trains pass not far, but that doesn't diminish the experience.

Great stay in historic building. There is no elevator for 2nd floor, which was fine by us. Setting is superb, many beautiful homes within a short drive. The fort is a block away.

This hotel is in a nice neighborhood that is full of history. The staff were friendly and helpful. My room was huge! I would definitely stay in this hotel again. There’s a nice restaurant across the street from the hotel for breakfast. Very convenient! I felt the area was very safe and walkable. A paper map might be a little more helpful than walking around the streets following a digital map to help orient yourself from street to street. There was way more to see and sample than I had time to during my visit. I will definitely need to return for another visit. My Uber ride from the airport took about 1/2 hour.

Helpful staff, very clean and comfortable furnishings in the room. My only feedback for the experience is that my breakfast was served cold - it is a very nice breakfast that was included with the room - but both mine and my guest’s was served cold. The service (waitress) in the restaurant was fantastic.

I really enjoyed my stay here! I would say my two pieces of advice for future guests would be that "breakfast included" is a bit of an overstatement. There's a $3 charge per guest and if you accidentally order a cafe au lait instead of a coffee like I did, you'll be charged for a coffee off of the regular menu and pay $6. So our first morning we had a "complimentary" breakfast that cost $17. My second piece of advice would be to bring some earplugs. We were right next to the interstate, so we could hear honking all night. Also, because it's an old house, you can hear your neighbors come in and out and up and down the stairs. However, the staff was so sweet and the facilities were great.

Pros: Beautifully restored collection of properties in a great location on the edge of downtown Mobile. Friendly staff. Easy on-street parking. Well priced. Cons: For such a nice property, there were lots of missed details. We had no TV remote (just a remote for the satellite), and the property couldn't replace it. We upgraded to a suite, which was a one-bedroom apartment with full kitchen, but the kitchen was very poorly equipped - no salt and pepper, only one fork, only one bowl, no cooking utensils other than a soup ladle, etc. Also we stayed over Christmas and the restaurant where breakfast is served was closed. We called the property before booking and were told there would still be a full breakfast served in the main house, but it turned out to only be bagels, scones, and mixed fruit. Finally, we asked two different staff members for recommendations on somewhere to eat on Xmas Day, and neither of them knew what might be open. We expected better from such a nice inn.

This is a fantastic place. The room is excellent and the bed super comfortable. The Bistro nearby is totally awesome, the food fantastic and the service superb. All the servers were outstanding. Would be a regular if I lived nearby.

We love staying here when we are in Mobile. We have stayed here pre cruise. They offer parking while you are on the cruise, which is a nice bonus. The breakfast is at a small bistro on site. The food there is delicious. We had dinner and breakfast there. I highly recommend staying here any time you visit Mobile or just passing through.

We had a lovely stay at Fort Condé Inn—charming, peaceful, and full of historic character. The room was beautiful and clean, with thoughtful touches throughout. We especially loved how close Bistro Saint Emanuel was—we walked to dinner and had the best meal and customer service! Breakfast was also amazing. Can’t wait to come back for a longer stay!

And it feels long and inconvenient. Perhaps, on a cool, breezy day this would feel different. Also, not sure what was on the sheets the night I stayed, but I had to sleep in my clothes. The sheets were super itchy on my legs.
