The hotel was great as normal my only issue was the parking lot. It snowed heavily Thursday and we arrived Saturday and the parking lot was a mess with snow and very tricky to get in and out of.

The staff at the front desk were extremely professional, kind and attentive. Their fitness center was temporarily closed, so they assisted in us being able to utilize the neighboring hotel’s fitness center. We appreciated that! And the sit down/to order breakfast was amazing! The staff in the dining area were exceptional, and very friendly. We enjoyed visiting with them, and the food selection and preparation were fantastic! Best hotel stay in years!!

Had a beautiful river view room that was very quiet. There's a decent amount of traffic and activity in the area but the room was pretty soundproof. Close to some of our favourite restaurants, and a lovely breakfast buffet included in the stay. Parking was ok but was outside and uncovered which isnt great for the middle of winter, and the staff even warn not to leave valuables in your car because of thefts. The bathroom had a barn door, which is the oddest and silliest trend I see in hotels latley. Nobody wants to hear and smell whats going on in the bathroom, married couple or not. It wasn't light proof either so if one got up in the middle of the night for the bathroom, the whole room would be illuminated. Light sleepers and those that require privacy beware. Took them 5 days to reverse the incidental charge on my cc, so make sure you are aware to leave room on your card. Otherwise a great hotel close to many activities and trails to walk along.

Zero complaints about the James Hotel. Rooms were clean and comfortable, the bar is outstanding, breakfast buffet was delicious and the location was a 10 minute walk to the downtown core. Would definitely stay here in the future.

Honestly, great place to stay, but the hallways and the elevators stink really bad. I thought maybe it was just the one day but it continued all weekend. The room was great and amazing location. Would have been a 5 star review if it weren’t for the smell. I had to cover my nose in the hallways.

Very nice property with a Great breakfast. Our view was of the parking lot would never stay on that side again. The bedroom in the suite was too small to hold a king size bed and a TV. The tv was large and had to be put to the side of the bed so it was next to impossible to watch TV in the bedroom. Next time we will just choose a regular room

We only stayed one night. Room is very clean, bed is comfortable, air conditioning works well, all appears to be clean and looked after. The view of the river is worth a million bucks. Includes comfy robes, an espresso machine, and a full fridge of items to purchase to drink, or small snacks. I would definitely stay here again, and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend. The lounge was a nice spot for a night cap. The included breakfast is top notch, with a small buffet, and also table service for made to order items. And the coffee is very good! I would love to have had a balcony to sit out and enjoy the view. But we did not splurge for that this time.

We’ve stayed here multiple times. Every time it has been amazing. The beds are super comfortable, the sheets are silky soft, the room temperature is perfect, and the shower has good pressure.

Great location, super friendly staff, above average complimentary breakfast. Literally my only complaint is that our room had this weird sliding door for the bathroom that was very difficult to close, and didn’t offer great privacy when closed. Otherwise a great hotel, and a great stay. Would be very happy to stay again.

Hotel is always excellent and immaculate with a wonderful complimentary breakfast. This time there were issues with their tv service and we had none working in our room for the first 26 hours of our stay. We were told to call tech support and fix the problem ourselves, which was not what a guest should be doing but we did try 😆 Guest services manager was contacted and resolved the problem as well as upgraded our room. I think the staff were maybe overwhelmed by the big concert going on nearby and the hotel being quite busy? Our stay didn't have a great start but ended well.

I recently spent five nights at the James hotel. I found the staff at the front desk less than helpful or nice. The parking situation specifically was very bad and the first night I had to park on the street, Another day. I came back from a very long day and there was a piece of equipment blocking the parking lot entrance. I believe they were washing windows. I parked on the street as I did the day I checked in and I received a parking ticket. The hotel did not seem to care about this and that I was not able to get into the parking lot because it was blocked by a crane. The best part of the stay was the staff who worked in the breakfast area. They were very kind, helpful, and caring. Also, when I checked in the luggage rack completely fell apart when I put my luggage on it, and nails went flying everywhere. Next time I’ll stay somewhere else.

Every person that was there during our stay, were INCREDIBLE! From the check-in, where the people at the desk scrambled to find us a place to park, to the amazing bartenders that stayed open for us to make us a late drink, to the wonderful brunch lady, that served us such a yummy breakfast! (Oh! and the beds? OMG, like sleeping on a cloud.)

The staff and service were fantastic 10/10. I usually stay next door at the Sheraton, but will stay here from now on. Beds are very comfortable and rooms were great with a living room. Even toiletries were top shelf l’occitane. Plus the incl breakfast with made to order eggs was really good.

The hotel and staff are amazing. The bed is very comfortable and the entire hotel is extremely clean. Downtown Saskatoon is a bit dodgy at night but there are good restaurants close by so you don’t have to travel far.

An awesome stay at The James. Very attentive and helpful staff, great lobby bar, quality room service with vegetarian options, free and easy parking. Room was tastefully designed with high end products, bedding and a super comfy king bed. Didn’t have the free breakfast but sounded good. Nice to walk around the area by the river and a few bars and patios nearby. Would recommend and stay again next time I'm in Saskatoon.

Staff courteous, rooms, lounge and lobby area were all very pleasant. Breakfast was excellent; we would have preferred to have more dining choices later in the day. We would certainly not hesitate to stay there again should we ever return to Saskatoon.

The hotel is looking a bit worn. No dining options on Sundays and during this visit, nothing on the Monday either as it was a long weekend - seems ridiculous if they are open for business and charging premium prices to stay here
