The hotel itself is lovely. Customer service was excellent. We were on the 1st floor (family room) & there is no lift. Not many stairs, but anyone with a disability would need to ask for the ground floor. The hotel is pet friendly so great for dogs. So don't forget your antihistamines if you have allergies. Great views & seating area outside. Staff knowledge of local attractions was good & many leaflets available with discount codes.

My room was clean and tidy with full tea and coffee facilities. The staff were exceptionally knowledgeable and courteous. The restaurant staff made me feel like one of the family. In addition the food with a view from the terrace made the stay complete.

The hotel room was comfortable and and well equiped and in addition the restaurant facilities were very good with a good choice on both the breakfeast and diner menus. Car parking was easily accessed with more than adeuate space. Finally all the staff were friendly and happy to please.

The main downside is that there is no lift and it could do with a lick of paint but otherwise it is well equipped and staff were very pleasant and attentive. We were only there for 3 nights but towels were changed twice and room tidied each day. There is a good variety on the restaurant menu too. We have stayed here at other times in the past too and will again.

Nice large room, welcome aircon on arrival in heatwave. Plenty of space for clothes. Comfy bed and pillows. Large shower room. Fresh supply of biscuits, tea and milk each day. Unfortunately no sugar, went to reception who apologised and got some from cupboard near room but only few cubes left. No sugar was supplied for rest of the week. Bought sugar in local shop. Marvellous views from balcony area in bar overlooking countryside. Plenty of parking spaces. Hotel ideally situated near train and bus station - just 10 min walk downhill.

The room itself was ok and the view was nice and good towels in the bathroom. But the desk was broken, there was a lot of mold in the bathroom and the ceiling, there was no shampoo and had to ask 2 times for it to get some refill. Also the internet was not working.

Room was lovely but the bathroom could do with a thorough clean. Lots of mildew in shower area and tiles were grubby. Panel underneath the sink at the join was very dirty. Food and service were both very good

We had a lovely stay here for 4 nights. The room was spacious, clean and well presented. The room overlooked the garden and the views were stunning. The bed was really comfy too. The food was wonderful and the staff were very friendly and chatty. We found it very easy to travel around as it is near to the major roads. We will definitely stay again.

Loved this place. Very few hotels in the area have air conditioning so having a beautifully cool room was a huge bonus for me. In summary - modern, clean and welcoming. The bed was also amazingly comfortable!

Very good communication from the moment we booked. There was a welcoming professional greeting on arrival and the room and facilities were well ahead of our expectations. There was a well organised arrangement with a local taxi firm and they arrived exactly when required in the morning. The bar and catering facilities were spot on and the breakfast was of a high standard

Excellent location. Easy to find. Got plenty of car parking spaces. The room is very spacious. Great shower. Room is clean and well equipped. Good to have a bottle of water in the room. Kate at the reception is kind, friendly and helpful. Fabulous breakfast. The hotel is quiet and has beautiful mountain view. However, the bed seems to be a bit too soft.

There was a good welcome from staff who provided helpful information about the hotel and the local area including a map. The room inside was very largely clean and had all the facilities I needed including regular supplies of tea and coffee. The menu was varied and I enjoyed the evening meal I had there. The room was a little noisy with the hotel being on the main road and faced onto the car park when better viewed rooms might have been available? The hotel was perfect for the station which I used regularly.

I stayed here with a group of colleagues on a multi-day business trip and really enjoyed the stay. We staff and the service was excellent. We ate in for supper on both nights as it was convenient and the food was great. Breakfast was very good with the best bacon I have tasted in ages - I can recommend the full Cornish or the bacon bap - heaven!

Room was very nice. The service at the restaurant was very quick. Food was good (had fish and chips for dinner and eggs royal for breakfast) Waiter was very efficient and the pint of Tribute was excellent. I would definitely recommend this place.

The rooms were big and clean. Tea/Coffee making facilities, plus 2 packs of biscuits, nice touch! Only complain would be that for the money the full english breakfasts did not include teas/coffees. And, the portions were very small, more like kids portions! We would definitely go there again but not eat there..

Staff were very helpful and room was properly cleaned each day. Slight downside is being next to a very busy road but on the upside the transport system was very easy. Restaurant food and service were excellent and access to outdoor space a bonus. Overall good value.
