A nice position. Staff didn’t engage at all. Very small room that was not cheap, no food available. Walk to the hermitage hotel which had a restaurant which was very expensive. Bring your own food if you are going to stay.

Very close to everything. Staff was helpful when we got stuck due to weather letting us sit in the common area to sort everything. We were able to get a slightly early check in to drop our bags to hike the hooker valley. From the hotel we where able to walk to the trail head

It is a perfect location for people who has less budget, right in front of Mt Cook, can see the mountains from windows and shared kitchen. The kitchen is good, spacious and convenient with a wonderful view!

We really enjoyed our stay at Aoraki Mountain Lodge. The property is older, but it is well maintained, comfortable, and offered excellent value for the price. The location is very convenient, especially given the limited number of accommodations and services available in Mount Cook Village. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and very accommodating throughout our stay. We also loved the cozy bed-and-breakfast atmosphere, which felt warm and inviting after a day of hiking and exploring. The bed was exceptionally comfortable and provided a great night’s sleep after long days on the trails. One thing I wish I had known before arriving is that there is a fully equipped shared kitchen and lounge area upstairs. Food options in the village are quite limited, so being aware of this ahead of time would have allowed us to bring groceries and make better use of the kitchen. Future guests may want to plan accordingly. The lodge was a perfect base for our day hikes and stargazing tour. If I had one item on my wish list, it would be a hot tub with mountain views—especially during the winter months. The scenery is spectacular, and that would make an already enjoyable stay even more memorable. Overall, a comfortable, well-priced lodge with great staff, a welcoming atmosphere, and an excellent location for experiencing Aoraki/Mount Cook.
