The view was good, the bed is good we had no TV, no stores around not convenient area, no cooking amenities in the room only one microwave downstairs in the lobby for everybody. The coffee in the lobby wasn’t made. Screaming kid woke us up. The property inside is rundown. The blankets need to be replaced too thin.

Hôtel au bord de la mer, accès direct à la plage, grand terrain aménagé avec jardin et feu de camp le soir, vue magnifique sur l'océan et les montagnes et personnel sympathique. Ambiance zen. Chambre propre à l'arrivée, serviettes, savon, shampoing, après shampoing, papier toilette... à disposition cependant il faut payer un supplément si vous voulez que le ménage et les lits soient faits tous les jours. Pas de sèche cheveux dans la chambre ni de climatisation remplacée par un ventilateur sur pied.(plus écologique). Les chambres côté rue sont plus bruyantes à cause de la proximité avec la route mais c'est tolérable. Agréable séjour en général! Coucher de soleil splendide!

Very comfortable for my one night stay. Beautiful setting on the oceanfront, comfortable bed, clean room and very quiet. The only criticism is that there is no coffee maker or kettle in the room. You have to go to the lobby area to get coffee which is available 24 hours, but I would rather make my own and not have to leave my room. Other than that, I would recommend staying here.

We've stayed here several times. In the previous reviews I missed mentioning the microwave and the toaster in the lobby, right by the coffee/tea station, all available 24/7. I also appreciate the wide parking stall, vehicle doors can open wide, no need to squeeze by. The beach area is superb, a patio swing to enjoy the scenery, and while it was chilly time time around, we managed well wrapped in a blanket.

The first room I was offered had a dirty tub with hair. Hair on the Electric baseboards and the wooden blinds could not close flat for privacy. The only comfortable chair was dirty on the arm rest and when I lifted the cushion there was debris and stains. The second room that I was offered appeared much cleaner, the blinds closed and the tub clean. But, there were no lamp in the sitting area nor a lamp by the bed! I had to request a lamp to have some light rather than just the entry hall ceiling light! Two lamps were brought from the dirty room. There was no kettle to prepare a hot drink in the room! Coffee/Tea only offered in the common entrance and only if you were lucky to have it filled and not empty! The hot water tap was Luke warm when trying to make tea or even make a coffee. The carafe appeared very dirty with old coffee oils when I tried to make some and took it apart. Could not find the coffee packets to make a large carafe of coffee! There were the single serve packets a person would use in a regular sized hotel room coffee maker!!

Nice waterfront property with great places to sit quietly on the beach or the open area behind the hotel. The hotel itself needs some work, smells musty as soon as you walk in with a bucket collecting water dripping from area above ceiling, hallways look old and dated with dirty towels and laundry piled up outside a couple of doors. Room has been updated and was reasonably clean, there was no soap or shampoo in the cheap looking dispenser, neither were refilled and I had to ask for soap. Room had a number of drain flies sitting on the walls, not sure where they were coming from. Definitely not worth the price with over $300 including taxes, this is a $150 hotel.

Musty but very clean. Perhaps it was just our room; it was renovated in the past few years and very clean. However the room smelled very musty and our room was right above the entrance so a bright light shine into our room.

You need to be on an upper floor for any actual ocean view, (the building is behind treed dunes) but it does have direct access to the beach. Rooms were clean, smooth check-in and out. Good place.

More like a hotel. Had a room not facing the ocean so not sure what those rooms looked like, but the room was clean. Bed was comfy. If you’re looking for a place with an ocean view you might want to look somewhere else but didn’t trick and was cheap. Still pretty close drive from either Courtenay or Campbell River.

Beautiful location that is very clean. Double beds are bit small for 2 people sharing, however. Very minimalistic but we were there just to sleep while we explored during the day. The front of the building is loud with traffic as we needed the window open due to no air conditioning. Next time we would stay at the back.

We enjoyed this property very much. It’s very clean, quiet and comfortably. We also feel safe in the area. The live-in manager is very caring and accommodating. He tries to make us feel like a second home. All staffs are nice and friendly. This is the third time we stayed here, and many more to come.

The only thing I can comment on is their service because we ended up not staying there. The only reason we were staying in a hotel is because we can no longer master stairs every time we go in & out of our adult childrens' homes. When we got to the hotel, I found out that they don't have an elevator. My husband came in from the car to have a look & there was no way we could stay there. They said they wouldn refund our money since they couldn't accommodate us. However, that left us without a place to stay for 5 days. The gal at the front desk then said she would call another hotel to see if they could take us. Although they were more expensive, they agreed to let us stay there for the same price as Ocean Resort. The only thing is that we would stay in one room for 3 days & then, we would have to move down one floor for the last two days, so we agreed to that. To our surprise, when we got to the room, it was actually a one bedroom suite, with a full kitchenette, a balcony & an ocean view!! When we moved down one floor, we knew we were moving into a king-size bedroom, but it was a suite as well!! We are so grateful that the gal at Ocean Resort took such good care of us. Thank you so much!!

The room that we got was upgraded by emma who is very generous and kind to us. Bridgetta assist us kindly. The room is clean and spacious and has direct access to the greenery and ocean. We had a lovely wedding in the arc in front of the beach. Overall, we had an amazing stay here and the staff are accomdating.

Ok, but not overly impressed. The room was small with no view, and the traffic noise was loud. On the positive side it was on the ocean side of the highway with access to the shoreline which was beautiful. Not much for dining options nearby.

Simply amazing walked right out back door to a beach. Found beautiful things on that beach with my gf. The staff was so friendly it’s like you knew them for years. Room was super comfy. Short drive to Campbell River.

Ocean Resort must have the most incredible views in Campbell River! Super friendly and welcoming staff, very kind and helpful. Beds were very comfortable and room and facilities were very clean. Our only complaint is that the room was stifling hot and there was no apparent way to control the temperature but it could have been our own lack of understanding. Would return any time for the views on the lawn!

Very nice hotel, the view is amazing. We love the self-serve cafeteria area. Location is conveniently, right on the island highway, easy to get to the surrounding areas, only 5 mins drive from Miracle beach. We stay here 3 nights and had a great time!

I very clean, minimal accommodation. It’s about 10 minutes south of Campbell River but I found the oceanside drive calming at the end of the day. Very good price and friendly staff. I booked 2 different work trips here and would book again in the future.

This is a lovely and comfortable place. The hotels.com description is inaccurate. The microwave, coffee and dishes are communal, in the lobby. No coffee grinder or stove tops. Some rooms do have kitchenettes, but not the double bed rooms or the standard queen ocean view room that we had. However our room was very nice, with good bathroom amenities with extras like cosmetic pads, swabs, makeup remover cloths. Good bed amd nice table and chairs. Not exactly what we expected, but very good. Recommended. We would stay there again.

Ocean Resort is NOT a resort. They don’t even have food on the premises. On checkin the person at reception was ok, the room was clean. The motel is infront of the ocean. On check out there was no one.

La nostra stanza aveva una vista stupenda sul giardino e sull'oceano e la possibilità di raggiungere la bellissima spiaggia a piedi in 2 minuti!!! È possibile usufruire del caffè e di uno spazio per prepararsi una colazione semplice. Sarebbe bello avere la possibilità di acquistare la colazione sul posto anche perché non ci sono altre opzioni vicine.
