Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Kansas City North, Gladstone

The hotel was excellent and the front desk gentleman was amazing. They were having electronic key issues when we arrived and both he and the lady that was there were both so fantastic and personable. The only issue (not really an issue) we had was the small size of the pool.

Definitely not east parking. They do not seem to have enough parking and Definitely not any extra. That was the only drawback for us. Everything else was great!

The room was great , the beds were extremely comfortable compared to most hotels. The pool was not big but a perfect size for around 6 people to have fun and not be crunched , the staff was amazing. The location was perfect to find food all over the area , amazing pizza place a block away. The only downfall was the selection of food from day to day was the same and not much to choose from. They had scrambled eggs , real fried eggs , 2 types of meats , waffles, your normal bread selection, single served cereal every day the same.

We stayed here for 2 nights while in Kansas City. Hotel looked nice on the inside and outside. The room had plenty of space for our family of 4. The pool was pretty small for a hotel of that size. The price was very reasonable for the location and how well kept it was.

The hotel was easy to find and had ample parking. The outside was clean and appealing. The inside smelled fresh and was clean and inviting. We checked in easily and went to our room. The room AC was on and it was cool and comfortable, which I appreciate. The beds were firm, with nice, clean bedding and a variety of pillows. The TV offers local broadcast channels as well as the ability to stream. Breakfast was good for a free hotel breakfast and the coffee was good. My only disappointment was that the pool was cold and they do not have a hot tub. We would stay here again if we are in the area.

Amazing stay! Very clean, comfortable beds, and great breakfast! Indoor pool was small but our family of 4 was the only one there. Would highly recommend staying here if visiting KC.

Stay was great. The pool was a lot smaller than it looked in the photo but overall was good.

Very clean outside and in, super friendly staff, clean, comfortable room and bedding, well-appointed and clean gym we had to ourselves on both days. Wonderful restaurant right behind the hotel. Plenty of parking.

Pool was broken which left me with a couple of pissed off kids but other than that it was great.

It was dirty and the carpet seemed like it hadn't been vacuumed. Lots of pet hairs on the carpet. Breakfast was lacking. No microwave to warm food.

Very clean nice hotel

I was disappointed about the cleanliness of the restroom floor. I also did not like that there was not a zippered mattress cover on the beds. Only a cheep, uncomfortable pad that didn’t cover the entire mattress. I talked to the front desk who informed me that the custodial staff was gone for the night. The next night they put mattress covers on both beds, but didn’t put a bed sheet over them. (Very uncomfortable and odd) The staff were nice and welcoming, good breakfast and nice hotel. The housekeeping staff was a bit disappointing. Not horrible overall, but not ideal.

Overall, this was a lovely experience! The hotel looked wonderfully kept and had an overall atmosphere of quality. My only small complaints were that, upon my arrival, there were a couple of thick, short hairs in the sink and the bathroom floor looked like it was mopped, but wasn't super clean. Those are things that few people would actually notice, so I was fine with dealing with that. Great service, VERY comfy bed, and the general location was nice! Some good restaurants and a couple coffee shops super close by.

I’m guessing that since we booked with a third party we got the worst room on the property. If they after you room 225 tell them you want another room. This room shares a wall with the gym and we were woken at 10:30 pm with pounding of weights and again at 5:30am. There was mold/mildew at the bottom of the shower door.

This is truly a great place to stay. The room is very clean. The bed is very comfortable. The bathroom is very clean and modern. The design of the shower water valve is placed on the side wall away from the water spray so you don't get a blast of cold water when you first turn it on.

Rode my motorcycle for 10.5 hrs, and arrived for check-in at 7:39pm. Showered and walked a block for dinner. Came back to hotel at 9:30pm and went to bed. Woke up at 6:30am to over 40 bug bites all over my arms and hands. Called and left a message with the General Manager but no reply. I had another 8.5 hr ride to get home and was miserable the whole time due to bites being inflamed and itchy. This experience was utterly disgusting and these bites still have me in a miserable state.

Super clean room/bathroom with great linens! Very polite front desk attendant.

Walls maybe a little thin...heard my neighbor snore all night. He may need to have that looked at.

I came here after booking an unfortunately unsafe hotel previously. This was a life-saver and I had one of the most comfortable stays I've ever had for a really reasonable rate. Internet worked great, and food delivery options were great.

Very nice hotel. Fitness area was clean. Room was a nice size and clean. Beds were comfortable and shower had nice water pressure.

This property was nice and super clean. My room had no maintenance issues and I didn't see any when moving around the property. The room was modern and not cramped. The bed was comfy. As a tall person, the shower means something to me. It was more than high enough for most any person. Breakfast was nothing special but it was not bad. I will likely stay here again if I ever go back to this area.

The hotel itself, the staff, and service were all great. The only complaint I had was the walls are kind of thin - could hear talking, snoring, luggage being dragged around, showering, etc from neighboring rooms.

I would honestly have given this hotel 5 stars. I would love to stay here again. The service was fantastic. The pool and patio fantastic. The bathroom and shower were glorious. The TV even had streaming options. The AC worked incredibly well. However, we stayed for 7 nights and I didn’t get a decent night’s sleep for one night. The mattresses were thin and the pillows flattened to nothing as you sleep. While all the features are lovely, it feels like the most important amenity of a hotel should be the sleeping experience. I would love this place and never stay anywhere else if they could fix the horrible mattresses and pillows.

The walls are paper thin… we can hear people in the other room all night.

We were acknowledged by staff as soon as we walked in. The staff continued to be very friendly and attentive during our stay. The room was clean and comfortable.

Check in girl was rude

The front desk was extremely polite & helpful. My favorite was Michelle, who went out of way of her way to accommodate your needs. The hotel policy is you have to stay 5 nights to have your sheets changed. We where there 3 nights. Jessie Marlow, housekeeping manager made it happen. Your trash removal and fresh towels were available every day, if you requested. There is an amazing restaurant next to the property called The Summit.

Room 213 is terrible due to a hard closing exterior door positioned a few feet away. It should be a standard protocol for every hotel that no guests should be given rooms next to exterior doors unless the guests are hard of hearing or sleep like rocks. For our family of four, this was beyond aweful. Then, the the last night, hotel guests were fighting outside of our window. It was scary as they were breaking multiple pieces of glass and yelling at the top of their lungs until 1:15am. The Tahoe vehicle next to our window kept coming and leaving and then going in and out of the slamming exterior door. My husband and I were honestly afraid bullets were going to start flying through our window. It was that intense. The elevators reeked of weed, these were disrespectful guests that ruined our stay. I spoke with Stacy the receptionist multiple times and she did the right things of calling the police, and comping our room. In my opinion, one night of comping does not suffice. But it’s the police were involved and that she gave us a partial discount. My suggestion for your hotel would be to involve police much earlier and to somehow, if possible, filter out riff raff. I believe from an elevator conversation, that it was a group of locals in Kansas City that wanted to have a fun staycation. Everything else besides those big things was wonderful.

We had some trouble checking in as there was no King availability. When they located a King, it was dirty - towels on the floor, unmade bed, garbage overflowing. When we went down to the front desk, the staff member was apologetic and very nice. It took her about 45 minutes to correct as she was busy. We still did not receive a King bed, but the room was nice and the breakfast was good

Absolutely one of the best stays and customer service experiences I’ve had. Everyone was friendly and very accommodating—from the front desk to housekeeping and the bartending staff, the entire team was wonderful! Highly recommend.

This was one of the worst trips of our lives but the staff at the Fairfield Inn in Gladstone bent over backward to help us. Let me explain. We were in KC for a wedding reception and I got very sick with Covid and was hospitalized. At the same time my husband got a call for an in-person job interview in St. Louis. Long story short, we changed our plans several times and the staff, especially the front desk, were incredibly helpful but also so concerned and nice. They made a really bad situation for us so much better than it could have been. We will stay there on our next trip to KC for sure!!!

The room was comfortable and clean, but unfortunately we had a bad experience reporting noise to the front desk. We called the front desk after 10pm due to a dog constantly barking on the other side of the wall our headboard rested on. The front desk called back and said the people in the room had snuck in the dog without their knowledge and when they got back, they would move them to the 2nd floor where pet stays are booked and charge them the pet fee. The person really convinced me this would be fixed. After an hour of barking the noise stoped and we were able to sleep. ….I woke up to the dog barking. This review is due to the hotel telling me they would rectify this situation, and didn’t. We paid the cost for a nice hotel, but we had a 2 star experience.

Clean (VERY clean!). Good parking. Safe. Location is convenient with restaurants within walking distance. Staff was professional.

Hotel was clean but initial room had plugged toilet upon checking in. Gave me a different upgraded room promptly. Breakfast was a bit lacking in my opinion. Had waffle maker and a hot item but still lacking as powdered eggs and mostly raw bacon.

Clean, convenient, nice breakfast and coffee and very friendly, helpful staff.

We will not be returning. Beds uncomfortable, air wasn't working, employees were rude, and breakfast items were expired/spoiled. (This seems to be a Fairfield issue at multiple locations.)

Stay was good breakfast was not!

Check-in was quick and easy. I had minimal need for the staff. They had an indoor pool which was nice. Breakfast was complimentary, but light on options. They had bacon and eggs and some cereal and pastries. Overall it was pretty good experience.
