Staff were great! Parking was in abundance and close.

Lots of parking, but had a qedding on so difficult to find somewhere, also not a single disabled space available and all majority of cars using them had no blue badge. I have some mobility issues and was at the 2nd floor with no lift. My fault as i hadnt informed them. Lovely gardens and impressive hotel. Excellent breakfast

We got a room in the new build size and the rooms are amazing clean and big. The old building is dated and the lift was out of use

The Hotel is beautiful! Old but gorgeous. Rooms are comfortable and very clean. Unfortunately the bar and restaurant really let it down. The service was non existent. Breakfast was completely empty at 8:45. Couldn’t even get orange juice. Was told it was getting topped up but only one item came out at a time and by the time something else came out the last items were gone. If you wanted a cooked breakfast, you would have had to have it in 6/7 courses. The staff didn’t communicate with us either to let us know what was happening. It wasn’t until I spoke to reception that I was told I should have come down earlier for breakfast. The lounge bar could be a lovely space but sadly the lights are brighter than a hospital and there is no music playing to set any kind of atmosphere. It really let it down. A couple of simple changes would have made our stay amazing and we would be returning but after our experience, we won’t return

Character property, friendly staff. Its facilities management that could be better - 1. The light in the bathroom was loose hanging off the ceiling on a wire 2. The room number given to me was not on any signage 3. No ev charging facility.

Absolute disaster this place is. Firstly there are a few "renevated" rooms and the rest that are in need of renovation, sadly mine was the latter. Rooms are split over different buildings, the one I sadly stayed in was connected to a function room. This had one of the two weddings at the venue that evening. Parking was non existent. The next issue was the disco that went on until midnight, getting louder with more people singing to the likes of wonder wall and I've had the time of my life, sadly with a few drinks, the tunes were very much out of tune. As midnight arrived, boos from the audience as the music stopped, however just 30 mins later fireworks were being set off and 15 mins after that it was time for the bar staff to empty all the bottles into the bins outside the room window. Sadly the manager was not available at 8am, so a message was left and a promised call back later interest morning. No call, so I chased this up and spoke with "Marios" who explained he was sorry it wasn't up to my expectations and that it is in their terms and conditions about noise at the weekend (I can't find it), so basically my issue, he wanted to refund 50 percent of the room, frankly at the price I paid £190 and the fact he was refunding in reality 30 percent after fees, I rejected this and will follow my issue up with hotels.com. Sadly Best Westerns used to be a decent brand, most need renovation, but if you want a quiet stay, run, don't walk.....to an alternative hotel.

Lovely old hall where the restaurants and some rooms are. We were in an annexe which was an old building but new inside. Room was very comfortable. Food was excellent in the bar.

Hotel was as pictured, however accessibility was a major issue. The elevator was broken, and unbeknownst to us the room we had booked was at the top of the facility up multiple tight staircases. Additionally, the doors were oddly shaped & fitted making them hard to open and traverse. Finally, the bathroom had a huge step down in the middle of it and very slippery floors. Given that I was traveling with my older parents, these items would have been good to know in advance so we could have adjusted our reservations accordingly.

Lovely stay with a fabulous meal. The bathroom ceiling was covered with mould above the shower & the bathroom threshold desperately needs a trim strip to stop people cutting their feet.

The room was not really in good shape, the walls were badly marked and I did mention this to the reception team, paint coming off the wall in room 606. Furniture old and marked too.

Room shabby and not very clean. Toilet seat not attached properly to toilet bowl. Mirror light not working in bathroom; no shelf on which to place toiletries, no shaver point. Had asked for quiet room, but room allocated was located on staircase above dining/breakfast room. Told a wedding reception was scheduled to take place on the second night. Though already paid for second night, I just went home on the Monday morning and therefore wasted my money on the second night, already paid for. Will not be booking again. However, one good thing: the breakfast was good and the waiter in the breakfast room was polite, efficient and attentive.

Such a nice, beautiful place. Bath was not cleaned but the rest was clean and the service was excellent. The rooms were also cold but the accommodations were so so enjoyable that we still had a lovely time.

We stayed for 2 nights. The room was comfortable and clean, but the stairs to our room were not so. The stairs to room 304 had obviously not been hoovered for a very long time and the spindles on the stairway were really thick with dust. We were shocked that no one from staff or management had noticed! We ate in the restaurant on both nights , the food the first night we excellent, but not so the second night. We had goat cheese for starters the first night which was beautifully presented and delicious so decided to have it again the second night, however whoever presented it obviously could not be bothered with presentation but it was still tasty. The Chicken Tikka contained 5 pieces of chicken was thick and too creamy, not like a Tikka at all - tasteless, so for dessert Chocolate Fondant was ordered for it to be just an overcooked hard chocolate sponge, no chocolate sauce in the middle- we returned it. The waitress in the restaurant was Courtney and we have to say she is an asset to you, very pleasant and obliging. The breakfasts were excellent and the rest of the hotel was very clean and pleasing as were the staff. We loved the hotel but felt this needed mentioning as it was let down by this.

The cleanliness wasn’t too bad apart from the black mild patches in the bathroom . The walls of the room could do with a repaint. I have mobility issues and found the bath too high to step into, there were no grab handles in the shower over bath , which made getting in and really difficult getting out of the shower. Room 602 I found was very noisy, people coming into the room above. The front door made a lot of noise hitting the wall which the bed head is against. A lot of noise coming from people going up and down the stairs, once in the room I could hear every foot step and bathroom noise. Floor boards in room above extremely noisy.

some staff were friendly, other's were not . when my wife sat down for breakfast, there was broken glass right where she sat under the table .if someone was wearing flip flops they would have cut there feet as the table cloth cover the glass . obviously they didn't do there cleaning there properly...

Hotel was nice in the public areas. The bedroom was very small, no air-conditioning The bathroom was not very clean, mould in the shower - (didn't even have a shower as i didn't want to go in there) Big hole under the sink area where the pipes were located.

The building ofcourse is amazing from the outside, parking nice and safe also in the grounds and perfectly close to BHX airport. The bed linnen was cheap and the beds not well made, like you would expect for this price range. The shower was full of mould , the mirror light did not work and a big hole under the sink, tea making facilities also below parr. Our room definitely needed a make over. Only then I would stay again.

We were very happy with our stay at Castle Bromwich Hall the accommodation was warm and clean, the bed was very comfortable, the towels were spotless, parking was easy, but the shower didn't work properly as the controls were loose and the water was only lukewarm, the plug in the sink didn't work, and the bathroom window was rotted and needed to be replaced as the mold was bad, cleaning it would not have made much difference. We only stayed one night so that was fine. Attention should be paid to these points as it is off-putting as it should only need a good plumber to put the bathroom right and a new window, otherwise, Fabulous,

The hotel looks wonderful on the outside with lovely grounds. Our room was in the Coach House, we paid a bit extra for a Superior room. On first impression the room was well decorated & the bathroom was clean and modern, but it soon became clear it was lacking in some basics. There were no lamps (only overhead lights) the only mirror was over the sink in the bathroom and there was no mini fridge in the room. We were there as a stopover for a business trip

Second night, we left window open a little bit for air but windows still soaking so clearly a ventilation issue in the building (brew house). Also, walls are paper thin. Could hear everything next door was saying even though they weren’t being overly loud, just having a conversation. People upstairs were just walking around as normal but it sounded like a herd of elephants. Nice decor and amenities, homely feel but lack of sleep due to noise. Great restaurant - breakfast both mornings was amazing and we had dinner one evening which was soooo nice! So not all bad but could’ve been better for such a high end building.

Amazing property, plenty of history and full of character. The staff were wonderful, dinner and breakfast were great. However, the whole point of staying in a hotel is to sleep but unfortunately, I had the worst night ever, in the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept in. The mattress must have been really old and gave no support or comfort. We were in an annexe with paper thin walls, so you could hear guests above and next door. I couldn't wait for the night to be over.

Hotel is nice enough but was allocated a very poor room as a “standard double” Room 320 It is a high level window onto a corridor, and two very small (say 30 x 20cm) skylights. Essentially if you sit or stand in the room you are looking at four walls. Good free parking Decent breakfast £6.70 for a pint of Goose island on the outskirts of Birmingham in a 3 star hotel though is recessive.

The hotel was absolutely beautiful with all the historical features respected. Food was delicious. Staff were polite and helpful. My room was in the converted coach house. A lot of thought and detail put into the rooms with comfy sofa and comfy bed. Modern ensuite

Conveniently located and easy to find. The rooms were clean and well appointed. The bed was however not comfortable and the mattress had definitely seen better days - plus, the wifi signal in the room was very poor. Food was however decent.

Rooms are not sound proof. Residents above us played loud music till 4am.

It is a great hotel with wonderful staff. However, the ceilings are so thin and old, that you hear every walking step and the cleaners above you. This can be as early as 7 if people are leaving earlier. I’ve stayed here a few times, and each time I’m afraid my sleep is disturbed by poor sound insulation above.

Whilst the room has been recently renovated, it clearly hasn’t been checked afterwards. Very small room, shower tiny and the poorly positioned shower head means you hit the cubicle when showering. When I wanted to check out nobody was on reception and nobody answered the phone for the number displayed.

Bad unfriendly service at checkin!!!🙄…..We were banished away from the main castle building away, away into a ‘Toilet Block” type building…..(even though we were paying 100 GBP for the night!!!)…..with NO INTERNET (when it said free Wifi!!!)…………😳……& a slopey small bed not big enough for two people!!!😡🙄. NEVER stay at this hotel!!!

Polite and professional staff a perfect stay which is what I’ve come to expect from this hotel.

Supreme customer service. Emma at reception was so helpful! I had a room above the kitchen and couldn’t sleep because of the vibration. She had no problem changing to a quieter room and I had a wonderful, quiet night.

Avoid at all cost Had a truly shocking experience, having left my Laptop behind, phoned hotel to ask them to keep it safe until I could arrange collection. Instead of keeping it in a safe place They magaged to leave on display allowing someone to simply walk in and steal it. Hotel refused to call the police and report the crime. Stated this was my fault for leaving it and I must inform the police myself and claim on my own insurance. Stated they have a lot of crime in the area. But still refused to contact the police.

Grand facade but very jaded interior. Staff good but too few which made them appear rushed and disorganised. Breakfast struggled to deal with the numbers at the busy time. Bed very very firm.

The staff that we see at this property were lovely, very attentive and gave instructions to where everything was very well, the room was comfortable and very clean, checking in and out very quick😁

Yup it is a castle! The experience to sleep in a castle is something I wanted to experience but ate 4 days of same breakfast menu. So perhaps an overnight or 2 days stay is good enough. Some hotel staff were accommodating especially the guys but one hotel staff lady on the Friday morning was unpleasant when I asked for where the breakfast is, instead of simply pointing where, she said that I could hear and smell it... ok? It was also the same lady whom I called for room service about shower water, took almost one hour, called again and she asked if they didn't come yet and that she'll follow up.. 30mins later, I had to go down only to see an irritated expression and heard a "tsk" coz she said she'll just look at it herself.. luckily, a hotel staff guy offered to check it instead and got fixed. Thankfully, we didn't encounter the same lady until our check-out on Monday. Please give that staff lady some vacation, she looked like she had enough of questions from new comers early in the morning. The hotel itself is clean and luxurious, we just didn't appreciate the stairs to go up to the 3rd floor (the slow lift only goes up to the 2nd floor). Our family room was spacious, bed is comfy, we didn't bother turning on the aircon if there is since the screenless window was left open. A huge fly kept visiting us inside. No microwave/fridge. Overall stay felt elegant but some cons will unlikely make me stay here again. Recommended for an overnight stay because of the place.

Generally a good stay, receptionist on arrival could do with a bit of customer relations training.

The original room I was put in was depressingly out of date . Old furniture dark and freezing cold as no heating had been put on . It appeared the only room in a dank dark service area at the back of the hotel of the hotel. Went for dinner which’s in what could have been a glorious room . Again it was cold . Waiter was sweet but incompetent and didn’t listen or read order back and i ended up with two meals . I made a mistake at the top of the coach house stairs and turned ring way to the new room I was given, and opened the room of another guest with my key card . Receptionist was good sorting all of it . It was like and episode of faulty tower's but less funny another guest with my key card .dhe an

Only stayed overnight in a couple of rooms but have to say it was a great Hotel for what we wanted. Good location, nicely secluded in its own well-kept gardens and grounds. Plenty of seating areas. Gated parking for extra peace of mind. Nice rooms and great breakfast facilities.

One night stay on business, hotel a little worn but generally OK. Staff great. Bar food standard stuff. Didnt bother me but the hotel is on the local air port flight path, so no early night for light sleepers 🤓.

Hotel with character. Staff are friendly and rooms are comfy, and clean. The bed mattress was not as comfortable as expected, maybe a bit old? Bathroom was modern and clean. I will stay again. It is close to NEC, so if going to a concert, it is a good hotel to stay in.

I didn't want a city hotel and wanted easy secure parking. Nice and quiet. Grounds look nice but as on business, no chance to look around.

Fantastic accommodation great atmosphere, wonderful historic buildings. Staff excellent, especially Michael in the breakfast room and Nina on reception Comfortable rooms with comfy beds. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice of both hot and cold foods.

The building and gardens are absolutely stunning, and I love the authentic furniture. It’s refreshing to stay somewhere that hasn’t been filled with cheap, mass-produced décor like so many other hotels.”

The food at dinner was excellent. Cooked to order using quality ingredients, and a very good choice on the menu. My only gripe is someone put 2 beers on my bill. Maybe my fault as said my room number out loud, but maybe the bar staff should have known it was a different person. If the dishonest person who did it reads this then I got it refunded so the hotel lost out, not me.
