We arrived at 3pm on a Sunday afternoon, the team were busy and to be expected. We were then attended to within a few minutes. Polite and friendly and shown to our room. It was a building near the pub. Parking was free and able to park outside the pub. Its all situated in a square,like a market square surrounded by big granite hills. We were shown to our room, was given a birthday card from the hotel chap which was a nice touch. The room was surfice and had ensuite. Outside window had all scafolding( no body working on it whilst there on our stay) just cut out alot of light. Food & drinks fantastic,good choices on the menu also breakfast. Great team chefs and bar team. Very nicely laid out restaurant. All very attentive ,polite and good banter. We were there to visit Portmerian but also explored a few other places too that were on the door step. The beaches are 10 mins yo 50 min drive we drove along the costal areas and visited the litte villages. Portmerian is truly spectacular, magical and fairy tale like. All in all our stay was perfect.

Nice hotel with nice room although compact. Great location with reasonable parking spaces (come early). Great host and service and excellent breakfast. Not so impressed with the WiFi provider, required too much information ie DOB and phone number etc which is way too much. So did not sign up for free internet.

Good property with rooms based at the inn in various buildings around the market square, Stunning mountain backdrop to the buildings. Good breakfast and evening meals in the hotel. The Inn was more of a restaurant than a pub but their is a good pub across the road.

Staff were excellent and made such a fuss of my mum on her birthday . The only ( and this is not huge) strange thing was that the bar closed at 9.30pm which was rather odd, but this did not deter from a fabulous stay , we will be back

Very cosy and cute little inn located within an equally cosy village. Friendly staff and clean room. Breakfast was delicious. Parking was a slight issue in the evening as cars had to park in 2 rows, blocking the first people in. Large Tesco 5 min drive away. Would definitely stay again.

Lovely hotel, nice people, food and drink was great. Having an EV charger is a real bonus, not too far to walk into Porthmadog, peaceful nights sleep and rooms were beautiful.

I stayed at this hotel as part of my 5 day motorcycling break around Wales. The accommodation was in a separate building, which wasn't an issue for me, and the only means of access was to check in at the Golden Fleece Inn first and obtain an access card. The room that I was staying in was clean and had everything that I needed for my stay. The food in the Golden Fleece Inn was well presented and reasonably priced. Would I recommend a stay here? Yes I would. However if you are travelling by Motorbike, as I was I'd recommend and advise that you park your pride and joy in the EV Charging car park at the side of the accommodation building, rather than in the Town Square, for added protection and security.

Great little property - though the rooms are aged. Lots of spiders in the light fixture in the bathroom. No extraction fan so the humidity was unbearable. In the morning, you’d smell sewer gas outside, but that’s not the property’s fault. The staff are lovely and it’s right near the Sherpa’r bus line to take you to Pen-y-Pass for Miners path to Snowdon or transfer to an S1/S2 to get to Llanberis for the “easy” path.

When arrived to check in at 8.30pm room assigned had a do not disturb sign on and hadnt been cleaned. Then given another room which the key didnt work. Got into a room at around 9pm and with the mess around we werent advised how we could pay to arrange breakfast in the morning so we didnt bother. Room was ok but came back to a coffee stained pillowcase left on our bathroom floor the second day which wasnt ours, i assume the cleaner left behind. Walls were very thin we could hear next door talking and watching TV through the wall. We come to the area often to visit family so its only a base but with the cist paid we probably wouldnt pay to stay here again.

Good food was served promptly, but at no time did anyone ask if it was satisfactory or enjoyable. Mould on bathroom ceilings and walls and part of the ceiling was collapsing. Sink wasn’t draining properly. Couldn’t use the shower or bathroom facilities as no towels were provided!

Very friendly welcome. The room was in a separate building and you could hear guests next door and upstairs. There's a weird pump in the bathroom for the toilet and the bathroom - I expect a result of it being an old building and plumbing. No problem for the price. The team were very welcoming and the food was good value. I just would have prefered things a bit quieter but it is what it is.

Accommodation was fine but reception area and dining area poor quality. Some staff were poorly trained and lacking personality. The quality of the breakfast was adequate but having paid for breakfast the additional cost for coffee and juice was unnecessary having paid for an executive room. The breakfast arrangements did not even match budget hotels.

Great little property - though the rooms are aged. Lots of spiders in the light fixture in the bathroom. No extraction fan so the humidity was unbearable. In the morning, you’d smell sewer gas outside, but that’s not the property’s fault. I really liked the stay at the Golden Fleece. Ammodation is on the square by the pub - but you get feel of the town and the layout - which is a great reason to go to Tremadog. Room was clean and well laid out. Pub served good food and nothing was too much trouble. Would go back without hesitation.

We arrived at 3pm on a Sunday afternoon, the team were busy and to be expected. We were then attended to within a few minutes. Polite and friendly and shown to our room. It was a building near the pub. Parking was free and able to park outside the pub. Its all situated in a square,like a market square surrounded by big granite hills. We were shown to our room, was given a birthday card from the hotel chap which was a nice touch. The room was surfice and had ensuite. Outside window had all scafolding( no body working on it whilst there on our stay) just cut out alot of light. Food & drinks fantastic,good choices on the menu also breakfast. Great team chefs and bar team. Very nicely laid out restaurant. All very attentive ,polite and good banter. We were there to visit Portmerian but also explored a few other places too that were on the door step. The beaches are 10 mins yo 50 min drive we drove along the costal areas and visited the litte villages. Portmerian is truly spectacular, magical and fairy tale like. All in all our stay was perfect.

Nice hotel with nice room although compact. Great location with reasonable parking spaces (come early). Great host and service and excellent breakfast. Not so impressed with the WiFi provider, required too much information ie DOB and phone number etc which is way too much. So did not sign up for free internet.

Very cosy and cute little inn located within an equally cosy village. Friendly staff and clean room. Breakfast was delicious. Parking was a slight issue in the evening as cars had to park in 2 rows, blocking the first people in. Large Tesco 5 min drive away. Would definitely stay again.

Lovely hotel, nice people, food and drink was great. Having an EV charger is a real bonus, not too far to walk into Porthmadog, peaceful nights sleep and rooms were beautiful.

This was very much a "scratch the itch" trip for my 65th - for many years we've stayed in the area & eaten at the Golden Fleece so I thought that it would be good to stay to complete the image. Room was a decent size (as was the bathroom) & clean & tidy (we were in the building that faces the square). Being really picky, would have been nice to have proper chairs to sit on to read (rather than using the bed) though the room wouldn't have accommodated this in terms of size. Also, the food menu in the details in the room is different (& far more interesting) than what was actually available - that's not to decry the food that we did have - which was great. Food on the Thursday evening took a long time to arrive, but duty manager resolved with a free sweet... and allowed me to "design my own" - basically taking the merangue out of an Eton Mess to creat a superb strawberry sundae! CHicken burger & Chicken supreme was great. Friday night steak for me & fish for my wife - both of which were superb. A slight downside - used to be (many years ago) that 3 or 4 real ales on offer, now maximum appears to be two - though, again, both well served. So, overall, an enjoyable trip & itch well-scratched

The towels were not changed, but that was our fault. There is a sign saying leave them in the shower to change but we didn't see it until this morning. My only minor whinge is that the waste bin wasn't emptied But I advise book with breakfast included, truly great breakfast's served there.

Good property with rooms based at the inn in various buildings around the market square, Stunning mountain backdrop to the buildings. Good breakfast and evening meals in the hotel. The Inn was more of a restaurant than a pub but their is a good pub across the road.

Accommodation was fine but reception area and dining area poor quality. Some staff were poorly trained and lacking personality. The quality of the breakfast was adequate but having paid for breakfast the additional cost for coffee and juice was unnecessary having paid for an executive room. The breakfast arrangements did not even match budget hotels.

No longer a pub, a restaurant but a decent pint. Food was ok small plate. Tasty and breakfast was very good. Bathroom was in need of some TLC. Bed was comfy.

Very friendly welcome. The room was in a separate building and you could hear guests next door and upstairs. There's a weird pump in the bathroom for the toilet and the bathroom - I expect a result of it being an old building and plumbing. No problem for the price. The team were very welcoming and the food was good value. I just would have prefered things a bit quieter but it is what it is.

Rooms seem to vary between spacious and elegant and very functional and ‘compact’. No room for chair in my room. Bed was only option. Staff exceptionally friendly and helpful. Meals excellent but not cheapest. Dining areas more basic than other areas. Parking excellent.
