Nice property , very comfortable,hot tub is great, would stay again

Property was amazing. We stayed in the Krug Junior Suite it was immaculate, log burner in the corner was so warm and homely. Hot tub was bubbling away as we requested. Paula looked after us from the minute we arrived, with a huge welcoming smile, as did all the team! Tea in the restaurant was Beautiful as was our Breakfast in the morning. Only down side was... we had to leave! Will be back was a great find!

This was a great find in N.Yorks , a quiet village in the Yorkshire Wolds and a good base to head out from for the coast or nearby Malton. The hotel had a great selection of Gin and Champagne. Champagne in a hot tub what could be better.. we took home some lasting memories...and a thirst for more Champagne 😁 Must not forget the food...if only my belly was bigger 😋 Thank you Karl, Julia for being great hosts!

As we were only passing through we stayed just the one night. Had to go to the inn next door for a drink and a meal as the bluebell inn closed for food and drinks at 4pm. Breakfast was lovely, staff very friendly and we would definitely stay there again.

We arrived an hour early but were still shown straight to our room. The room and terraces were beautiful and the immaculately clean hot tub was the icing on the cake. Everyone was so friendly, attentive and helpful. The food was excellent and plentiful with a varied selection of champagnes and wines. Our 2 small puppies were welcomed and felt right at home which was very important to us and the quality of our stay. We look forward to returning very soon with friends to share this Wonderful discovery. Thank you all for your efforts in making our stay such a pleasure.

Very friendly staff and a warm welcome. The room was large and comfortable. The evening meal and breakfast were both very good. Plenty of parking including outside the adjoining champagne rooms next door, which is where we were. Quiet location in a small village but near local attractions.

Value for money hotel that suited our needs after a long day out. Friendly staff who were happy to suggest places to eat as the restaurant was closed (we had been advised of it's temporary closure in advance), and a great breakfast.

Friendly hosts and good breakfast. Unfortunately our room was very tired and nothing like the pictures. Lors of mould in the showe, flaking paint etc. Feels like other reviews were for a different hotel. Will not be returning, glad we only booked one night.

Free car parkimg wifi ok Room very small, shower needed cleaning,doors needed washing down, carpets tired, bed very soft , door to bathroom caught on the end of the bed, window very small and high up so poorly ventillated. No USB sockets , extension lead hanging from TV and holes in the wall where previousl fixings had been. More like a truckers stop than an inn.will not be returning and woukd question reviews stating spotlessly clean. Such a shame as location fine. Excellent reasonably priced pub in the same village

Disappointed with the superior double room. It was quite small. The decor was tired. The room(room 1) was very dusty particularly beind the bed and behind the bedside tables. Cobwebs hanging from the ceiling light fitting. The carpet on the stairs leading upto the bedrooms was filthy. The pub itself was dark and dingy. The only good thing was the breakfasr which was excellent.

Had a really nice overnight stay at The Blue Bell Inn, Weaverthorpe. Stayed in the annexe (cottage). Very spacious room. Huge fitted wardrobe. King size bed. Extremely clean and comfortable bed. Beautiful en suite. Good hospitality tray with selection of teas, coffee, hot chocolate etc. overlooked village green. Lovely, quiet farming village. Had dinner in restaurant. Chef cooked. Excellent choice and presentation. Delightful young waitress Great breakfast with super menu. Spoilt for choice. Waitress served. Attentive. Plenty of tea/coffee. Table cloth and fresh flowers 👍 Would return. Highly recommend. Would have liked to have seen the lanterns and fairy lights lit across the front of the pub at night, as I am sure it would look very pretty, given its setting on the village green -and more inviting/welcoming to guests. A torch for getting to our annexe property was required. Also brackets for hanging baskets but no floral displays. Those finishing touches would have enhanced the place so much.

We booked through Hotels.com a room with 2 single beds £111 for the night including breakfast. Upon arrival, we were met with a lady who looked very unhappy, no smiles, no greeting, this did not make us feel welcome, we do realise that sometimes people may not have a lot to smile about, but nonetheless it was uncomfortable checking in. We were then led up some stairs off the bar, where there was what looked like a meter box hanging below the doorway, we are both 6 feet tall and had to duck to not knock our heads, - no padding on it, no sign telling you to mind your head, no warning from the lady taking us to our room. The room itself was off a rear landing, near the door to the outside stairs. It had no view, a glass window panel to the entrance door with a blind over it. The room was beyond basic, mismatched, shabby furniture and cheap wobbly beds, stains on the carpet. Filthy edges to the carpet, ripped wallpaper, One of the 2 ceiling bulbs out, and the toilet did not flush properly. Of particular safety concern, were nylon cords for blinds angled across the corner of the room at neck height, (I am a 6 footer) surely these should be routed and secured through a ring higher up on the wall, so they are usable but for somebody fumbling in the dark, it would be perfectly possible to get your neck caught in these. I have taken photographs to substantiate my comments. Within 15 minutes of being in the room, we took our bags, returned the key and left to find accommodation

The only negative about this property was the bed,the mattress was awfull, very uneven,uncomfortable, pillows were very hard.

Fantastic overnight stay in the Bollinger room - with the most comfortable bed imaginable. We ate in the pub in the evening and got talking to the owner about Huddersfield pigeons and their (lack of) merits. Food brilliant - we chose a chicken and a lamb dish. Beautiful. Mediterranean cheesecake - pesto jus with olives and roasted tomatoesit it was not. Turns out it was Dark Fruit Berries !!! Super flavour. And sticky toffee pudding to die for ! Lovely breakfast in the morning. Plenty varied choice. Would we stay again ? Absolutely. Most definitely. Thank you for a great break. 🙂👏👍

We did a last minute booking as an overnight stop on our way home from Scotland after being at a trade show all that day. After a 5 hour journey we were ready for some food, a pint and a flop. Unfortunately we arrived just after the kitchen had closed. However this did not stop the most awesome staff of the Blue Bell, the lovely lady who booked us in insisted that she would get the chef to knock up some sandwiches for us and even rustled up a vegan chocolate tart for my wife!!! Once we had washed down the amazing tasty food with a very nice drop of ale we were show up to our room. To say we were blown away by the beauty and quality of the room would be an understatement. We were in the Bollinger room of the Champagne rooms and it lived up to its high end name. Exquisitely decorated, with quite possibly the comfiest bed on the planet! One of the best bits for me, and other hotels with the instant sachet should take note, was a cafetiere with real coffee in the room, heaven for a coffee monster like me! After a wonderful splosh in the bath and a fantastic nights rest we had a most excellent breakfast before continuing our journey home. Clean, comfortable, cosy, and so so welcoming, we will be back and I urge anyone reading this to book a room there!

lovely comms from owners about travel and arrival; everything in good order. room was spacious and comfy and well appointed, with tea and coffee, water all laid on. Lovely ensuite and clean. good stay!

Paula is great let down by large damp patches on the chimney breast in the room broken toilet seat ,you cant fill the kettle in the sink, room doors scratched and need painting noise from the bar and snoring from my neighbour through the wall sorry to say glad to leave

Friendly owner. Rural, pretty and friendly area. Restaurant closed on Mondays so can’t review for main food but breakfast was lovely. Room small but comfortable. Wish I had gone on a day when it was fully open to be able to see it at its best.

A convenient stop off on the way to Whitby. We chose the small double as we arrived late and were leaving straight after breakfast. It was fine for a short stay. Owners very friendly and although the room was above the pub it was very quiet after 10pm. Breakfast was very good.

One night stay with my wife. Lovely champagne themed room, fantastic food and outstanding service by Paula and Joe at check in and in the restaurant.

The staff (especially the landlady) were friendly and welcoming. The food was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

After arriving after a long drive I was met with a phone number to ring attached to the front door.Owner arrived to tell me there would be no food or drink as there was a problem with the chef a couple of days earlier and in his words ‘Dont ever buy a Pub!’ I was told to go upstairs to the room and the exit from the building is through the fire door at the top of stairs which led down a fire escape outside. The door to this is left open which does not give you a great sense of security and I was given no key to get back in. On further inspection I realised I would be the only person in the building for the night as the owners dont live there. So with no food or drink or other humans needless to say I wasnt impressed as when I booked it gave it a very high rating and £111 per night I quickly left and had to find somewhere more suitable urgently. I left a message mentioning the issues and asked for a refund but was told no. Ive also approached Expedia who have reached out to the owner but told the same answer. I am now left wondering how this place is getting its ratings and reviews. I am more than reasonable and understand that things can go wrong in business but if there was an issue with chefs,the booking shoud not have been accepted. My advice to anyone is if you like the idea of solace,hunger and fear when it goes dark at night then this place is for you,otherwise steer well clear.

We cut our stay short even though we had paid for 2 nights. Toilet would not stop over filling all night and we could hear another guest snoring so had little sleep Full English breakfast was very dry. Although we had a call a week before our visit to say the kitchen would not be open other than for breakfast, we thought there would be plenty of choice to eat locally. However there were no pubs or restaurants within walking distance all were 20 minutes drive away and after initially driving 256 miles to get to Yorkshire it's not really what you want. The staff were friendly but we would not return 1 night was enough

We stayed for our wedding anniversary, was a lovely place. The breakfast was excellent, the atmosphere was laid back and you felt you could take your time, staff kept you refilled with tea and coffee. Nice to have toast and cereal while you waited for the freshly cooked breakfast. Local sourced ingredients absolutely delicious. The hotel is in a quiet area, we were outside until after closing and it was so quiet and calm just what you need when you get away. All the staff were friendly and couldn't do anymore for you. Thank you!

Karl and Julia were very warm and welcoming. It felt like a home away from home. The Dom Perignon room was very spacious and the hot tub was excellent. Weaverthorpe was a great location to have access to the Yorkshire Moors but also the coast at Whitby too.

This was a brief overnight stay and we were pleased we chose it. The hotel is in a pretty place, out of the way of busy towns and was clean, comfortable and the bar has a lovely atmosphere. Staff are very friendly and the breakfast was delicious! The room was lovely and shower nice and hot. Beer well-kept and tasty.
