Couldn’t fault any thing, allowed to check in early and the room was great. Breakfast was superb and would definitely stay there again highly recommended

Fabulous room and excellent breakfast. We can’t recommend this hotel enough. It is beautifully decorated and immaculately clean. Such a quirky old building has been updated to a very high standard whilst still retaining the charm of the original beams and uneven floors. The lit stove in the reception gave a warm welcome each time we entered. The staff were really lovely, friendly and helpful. A very relaxed stay, I hope we will be able to visit again.

Comfy bed, nice staff, fire, jolly nice breakfast. Bedroom a little cold, but hot waterbottles helped.

The Three Cocks Hotel is a truly special place — an independent, family-run gem where you can feel the passion and care in everything they do. Every detail has been thoughtfully considered, from the stunning interiors to the welcoming atmosphere that instantly makes you feel at home. The downstairs area is beautifully designed — perfect for unwinding by the fire with a drink after a day exploring. The receptionist was excellent: warm, professional, and genuinely helpful throughout our stay. Breakfast was outstanding, with quality ingredients and generous portions. The location couldn’t be better — close to both Brecon and Hay-on-Wye, making it ideal for exploring the area. Our room was immaculate, with a very comfortable bed and a lovely, well-designed bathroom. It’s clear that every aspect of this hotel has been created with care and attention to detail. A wonderful stay from start to finish — I can’t recommend The Three Cocks Hotel highly enough.
