We had a wonderful stay and Morag made us feel very welcome. We were attending a family wedding in the area. Glenkilrie House was an exceptional find. The surround areas and the views are stunning and the house is tastefully decorated. The accommodation is in a seperate wing of the house so peaceful with lovely views into the surrounding fields.

Glenkilrie house is in a superb location and if you catch it on a clear night the stargazing is amazing. The accommodation is cosy and there is a communal lounge with a TV for all to enjoy, there is also a visitors book in this room which has collected comments from people all across the globe! Morag is a lovely host and cooks a great breakfast! The breakfast is generous and broad enough to cater to everyones preferences. The sanitary facilities are a little dated, but I believe that's part and parcel of staying at a property like this! Personally, it didn't sour my stay, everything functioned as intended, and I simply just went about my holiday business! I would stay here again if I were to holiday in the same area. If you decide to book a visit, look out for the red squirrels and woodpeckers!

Arrived at the property & taken to a small outhouse, wasn’t provided a key to the main entrance, inside there was a corridor with 3 rooms, there was a pram in the corridor along with some clutter and a fridge, lady opened the door of our room without a key, and no key provided, once inside the room the smell of cigarette smoke hit me. Room was tiny, as was the en-suite, no shampoo or body wash in the shower cabinet only a cheap looking hand wash on the sink. Lady then went on to say “breakfast is at 8am, normally I give guests the option” but she was taking her grandkids swimming and had to leave at 9am. She said “milks in the fridge” if you need it for a coffee. Once she left I had a look in the fridge, there was a can of beer and a bottle of beer and no milk. Went back to the room and not a key insight. We’d payed £120 for the room, to be honest I’ve stayed in many a bed and breakfast and this was by far the worst I’d ever come across, we grabbed our bags and checked out within 10mins of checking in. We’d just climbed 16miles for charity in Glenshee and made the choice of driving 2hrs home rather than stay the night in that B&B.

Morag and Davey were wonderful hosts with a beautiful home. Morag making sure I was happy and making a beautiful cooked breakfast every day I was there. Davey even reinflated my tyre with his tractor so I could get my car to the local tyre fitting place. The room was very comfortable, warm and had everything I needed for a very enjoyable 3 night stay for snowboarding at Glenshee, which is only 15 minutes up the road. I would love to stay there again, and another huge thank you to both Morag and Davey for their hospitality.

Wonderful house and excellent location to head into the Cairngorms for a walk. Very clean and quiet, amazing breakfast, and Morag was attentive and helpful. Avoid the expensive, overpriced Braemar options and head here instead! 20 mins drive to Blairgowrie, 30 mins drive to Braemar (good food options for an evening meal), 20 mins drive to Glenshee.

This property was beautiful. Surrounded by farm land, with cows, sheep and a deer! Picturesque!! The lady of the house was so kind! Our breakfast was homemade and delicious! Would recommend a stay here!

Morag and Davey were wonderful hosts with a beautiful home. Morag making sure I was happy and making a beautiful cooked breakfast every day I was there. Davey even reinflated my tyre with his tractor so I could get my car to the local tyre fitting place. The room was very comfortable, warm and had everything I needed for a very enjoyable 3 night stay for snowboarding at Glenshee, which is only 15 minutes up the road. I would love to stay there again, and another huge thank you to both Morag and Davey for their hospitality.

Glenkilrie house is in a superb location and if you catch it on a clear night the stargazing is amazing. The accommodation is cosy and there is a communal lounge with a TV for all to enjoy, there is also a visitors book in this room which has collected comments from people all across the globe! Morag is a lovely host and cooks a great breakfast! The breakfast is generous and broad enough to cater to everyones preferences. The sanitary facilities are a little dated, but I believe that's part and parcel of staying at a property like this! Personally, it didn't sour my stay, everything functioned as intended, and I simply just went about my holiday business! I would stay here again if I were to holiday in the same area. If you decide to book a visit, look out for the red squirrels and woodpeckers!
