Masseria Montepaolo Dimora di Charme

Our stay at Masseria Montepaolo was disappointing despite its potential. The photos promise luxury, but poor management and maintenance undermine the experience. We arrived at 3:00 PM but had to wait an hour and a half for our room, despite repeated “just 10 more minutes” updates. The promised upgrade to a larger room seemed unlikely, as the hotel was fully booked, and the room was still small. The “fully-equipped spa” advertised on Expedia was under construction, leaving us without this amenity despite repeated promises to arrange access at a sister hotel. This felt like false advertising, as key facilities weren’t available. Maintenance was another issue—showers were unpredictable, with water temperature and pressure constantly fluctuating. Staff promised fixes, but the problems persisted. Dining had potential with a charming garden and quality local products, but loud beach bar techno music ruined the ambiance. Complaints were met with minimal response, which was disappointing for a hotel that should offer peace and quiet. In summary, Masseria Montepaolo needs better management to address these issues and deliver the experience it advertises. The hotel could be wonderful, but misleading promises and poor service make it fall short. A note for travelers: there are no elevators, so heavy luggage or mobility issues could be a problem.

The grounds and pool are beautiful. It is conveniently located to reach key sites in Valle D’Itria like Polignano a Mare and Alberobello. The room as a decent size and the bed was comfortable. They offer a nice continental breakfast with great cappuccino as well. We ate dinner as well which we really enjoyed. The service overall was perfect. Some things to consider when staying here: Some rooms (our room) are up a couple of flights of stairs. The shower water availability, pressure, and temperature was variable. We always ended with hot shower, it just takes a bit of patience The roads to arrive at the Masseria are narrow and do not fit two way traffic, you need to watch for oncoming cars and pull aside when needed The property hosts local events such as birthday parties for groups, so you will hear music playing in the distance (away from the rooms) until about midnight on certain nights

La struttura è ubicata in campagna ma è risultata facilmente raggiungibile da Conversano grazie alle numerose indicazioni stradali. La masseria è dotata di tutti i confort, bella la piscina. la camera è risultata comoda e completa, ben arredata, molto buona la prima colazione

Vraiment un très bel hôtel plein de charme! Il est entouré d’un grand jardin et dispose d’une belle piscine. On accède à l’hôtel par des petites routes de campagne étroites et sinueuses entre les vergers et les oliveraies. Autant vous dire qu’on est au calme! Petit-déjeuner buffet bien garni. Il est possible de manger à la carte le midi et le soir. Accueil attentionné du personnel. L’hôtel est bien situé pour visiter les petites villes côtières de Monopoli et Polignano ainsi que Alberobello, Ostuni, etc

This property is a little out of the way, but worth the drive. It is a beautiful place that I wish we were staying longer. If you have mobility issues there is no elevator and steps to most of the rooms

Nice masseria a little far away from main roads . You need the car to move around . Feb room was very nice ( like in a old farms house ) but the pool was average and the spa was not working

Un excellent sejour dans cette masseria. Les chambres etaient confortable et propre. La batisse a beaucoup de charme. Le petit déjeuner etait très bon, avec des bons produits. Le service et la gentillesse du personnel est a souligner. Je conseille ce logement, en dehors de la ville de conversano.

This property@approx 190 euros per night sup room,is well overpriced we stayed in as good if not better accomodation for half this price,the staff apart from Anna,were totally indifferent to the guests needs,if you needed a drink at the pool no one to serve you,you had to walk back to reception to ring a bell till someone came,then it took ages to be delivered,the gardens were unkempt,our companion had no hot water one day,also during our 4 day stay they had no TV or WiFi. The masseria concentrates on being a venue for weddings,baby showers,birthdays etc and paying guests take a back seat when these are on,the property is very isolated and devoid of any atmosphere,we ate dinner one night,which was ok but not inspiring,we were served by the owner who was clueless as to our order,on checking out we were charged for two nights dinner and drinks,but these were deducted after some discussion, Anna on reception was excellent and is the saving grace of this establishment,she worked tirelessly to meet our needs,but unfortunately was let down by the rest of the team. I would say do your homework properly and book somewhere else,because this establishment does not offer a laid back luxury experience,

Bella masseria con una stupenda piscina e un bel ristorante. Le stanze non sono all’altezza, soprattutto il bagno è vecchio con una doccia molto cheap e mal funzionante. Mi sarei aspettato molto meglio.

Odamız çok temizdi. Masseria’da kalmak ayrı bir tecrübe. Kahvaltı çok güzeldi. Sessiz , kuş sesleri ile uyanmak harika. Rachel’e teşekkürler.

Qualche particolare della camera andrebbe rivisto: impianto condizionatore rumorosissimo, luce esterna bruciata, asse water di misura non adatta e mal fissata.

The masseria was charming and isolated, but it lacked an elevator and twin bed options. The toilet facilities appeared a bit dated. On the positive side, they served a delightful breakfast.

Beautiful place. We stayed only one night in the end of our stay in Puglia where we were on honeymoon. Great service from the receptionist and she said we could eat at their own restaurant in the evening. Unfortunately that was a mistake that ruined the whole stay. We have to wait 45 minutes to even make the order. And when I asked about a menu alternative with many small dishes the waiter Giorgio simply said no. He was very stressed. When he came with the wine he didn’t let us taste it. He just poured it and left. The receptionist had to bring us the antipasti. I don’t think it was her job. When we got the main course we didn’t not get the grilled vegetables that was explained in the dish. He never came to our table so my husband had to go and ask about it. He then just gave my husband a glare and turned around and left. He was giving a larger group of people all the service. We waited over one hour extra to see if he would come with the vegetables or even just take our plates. He didn’t. So no dessert for us. He never even looked in our direction. We left 23:20 after watching all other guests get desserts and service. Giorgio was very arrogant and rude and should not work in a place like that. We would have come back if it weren’t for that restaurant experience.

Staff was ultra warm and welcoming, answering all our questions. We could not have asked for better treatment from all the staff, especially Anna, Joshua and Lucrezia!

A great B&B stay if you are not into hotel type accommodations. You get personal hospitality with staff that are passionate about what they do. Breakfast was delicious with homemade tortes. Location is great if you have a car. About a 10 minutes drive to conversano old town. Would definitely recommend.

Great location amid the olives , close to polignank mare and alberobello, staff were very helpful with local recommendations.

What can I say from this amazing place? I absolutely loved it. Ana made us feel so welcomed and loved! She made my first time in Italy a wonderful experience! We will come back for sure! Lovely place for a relaxing vacation and super close to the wonderful Polignano a mare are, if you have a car. ❤️🩷💙

Es un super buen lugar con muy buen restaurante que atiende hasta tarde, pero está bastante alejado y hay que andar por una ruta mínima por varios kilómetros

Relaxing property. Staff very helpful and kind. Breakfast needs hot options. Requested eggs, were told ran out. We were first downstairs for breakfast.

A nice stay. The hotel is lovely but rooms in need of a refresh, especially the bathrooms. Nice staff. Food was very nice, eating outside was pleasant however if you do not like cats, it is not for you!

Tolle Masseria netter Empfang, etwas abgelegen, toller Pool, urige Einrichtung gutes Frühstück tolle Croissants. Restaurant nicht jeden Tag auf und leicht mürrischer Kellner
