This booking was delightful, I could park safely and the welcome was warm and friendly. The room was fine for a short stay being warm and comfy. The evening meal was very good, the service attentive and caring for a lone female traveller. The bed was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was definitely FULL. All in all the Bulls Head was a good find!

Lovely little pub accommodation, the room was spacious and the bed comfy. I would have liked an iron in the room, and a more powerful shower, as well as an earlier check in. The breakfast was lovely, as was the owner. A nice little place to stay.

We enjoyed our time at the Bulls Head. We checked in after a long travel day and enjoyed supper in the restaurant. The atmosphere and food were great. We had a good nights sleep and enjoyed a great breakfast in the morning. There is a pub about 15 mins away also called the Bulls Head and we ended up taking the scenic route to get here because of a bad google maps entry on our behalf.

A fantastic little pub with very friendly staff who made us feel very welcome. Comfortable bed and a lovely bathroom and of course a very good pint at very reasonable prices. Excellent breakfast set us up for the day. A big thank you to all the smiling staff.

The Bulls Head is a lovely old pub. The building has many interesting features, blended with the comfort of modern living. We had an en suite room which had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The pub is friendly and mainly used by people going to eat. Whilst we didn’t have dinner at the pub, the breakfast was fantastic, beautifully laid out and freshly prepared. We went for a full English which was very generous, lighter options are available if you wish. David is very friendly and paid lots of attention to our needs with wonderful attention to detail. A great option.

The accommodation was clean and well presented, although a little tired in places, which was absolutely fine for our stay. The bed was a small double, which was a little soft for my liking, although other reviews say the beds were great, so very much a personal preference. Don't let that put you off as out time here was great. The food is lovely in the pub, and as I said at the beginning, the staff are excellent and really make you feel appreciated. The host makes a fantastic breakfast too, and deserves to do well in her business, which we will return to at some point.

Beautiful pub and rooms are very clean and well presented. Cooked breakfast was great, but it’s a shame they offer no fruit, yogurt or pastries. Cereals are also kept in the kitchen so you don’t know what they offer. Will definitely stay again but breakfast options and presentation could be improved.

We stayed for a night and enjoyed it. Lovely place. While the building is really old it is well looked after and the quality of all the finishing touches just make the place nice. Great staff. Had a good breakfast cooked for us in the morning, felt more like a B&B. Great place to stay. The only downside was the bed being a bit firm for our liking and the pillows could use an upgrade. It was a small twin bed but that was fine for us as we are smaller people. All in all though a great place to stay while travelling through

Really lovely stay. Rooms was characterful and spacious but yet still cosy and really well thought out with plug sockets everywhere you would want them. Staff and service was brilliant, very kind and attentive. Breakfast was delicious too. Would definitely stay here again.

A small comfortable Inn in a very pretty and quiet part of middle England. The rooms were warm and comfortable and the bathrooms, were well equipped, despite their small size, Bulls head is an old building and Becky and her team have done a great job making it welcoming. I will definaitely return... The food was fantastic dinner and breakfast.

Nice location, but our room had a fire escape light above the door that was very bright that it disturbed our sleep. The showwr also dropped loudly in the night which woke us both. We were not asked on check out how our stay was. Stay was okay but would not return. .

My Husband and I staged here this weekend. David was a fantastic host. The food was plentiful, amazing and a very good price. Breakfast was also amazing. For me a found the pillows great for watching TV for the support, but a bit too hard for sleeping, but the bed was comfy and the sheets were soft. I am always very cold but I was very warm at the bulls head. The shower was huge and powerful. Our room had a large free fire exit sign above our door. This illuminated green and at night it made our room quite bright, with no way to make the room dark. For me I found this difficult to sleep as I like a really dark room. This is just for info for others, not a criticism by any means. We live quite close so will definitely be returning for the fantastic food.

Stayed for one night whilst visiting Calke Abbey and the National memorial arboretum. Friendly welcome, quiet and comfortable room and nice evening meal. Good breakfast to set us up for our day. Would highly recommend and would stay again. Thank you to Dave and the team at the Bulls Head.

Netflix an unexpected bonus after a good walk in the nice countryside on the doorstep. Dinner was also excellent plus the Bangladeshi restaurant in Swadlincote provided one of the best "Indian" dinners in a very long time. Location is quiet and safe and Becky and the Staff couldn't be more helpful or friendly.

There is a pub about 15 mins away also called the Bulls Head and we ended up taking the scenic route to get here because of a bad google maps entry on our behalf.

Stayed for one night whilst visiting Calke Abbey and the National memorial arboretum. Friendly welcome, quiet and comfortable room and nice evening meal. Good breakfast to set us up for our day. Would highly recommend and would stay again. Thank you to Dave and the team at the Bulls Head.

A small comfortable Inn in a very pretty and quiet part of middle England. The rooms were warm and comfortable and the bathrooms, were well equipped, despite their small size, Bulls head is an old building and Becky and her team have done a great job making it welcoming. I will definaitely return... The food was fantastic dinner and breakfast.

Nice location, but our room had a fire escape light above the door that was very bright that it disturbed our sleep. The showwr also dropped loudly in the night which woke us both. We were not asked on check out how our stay was. Stay was okay but would not return. .

The welcome and atmosphere is consistently good and the food - evening dinner and breakfast - excellent. The place is a little tired and I could not get the shower to provide constant water at the right temperature, but apart from that another very comfortable and pleasant stay.

Beautiful pub and rooms are very clean and well presented. Cooked breakfast was great, but it’s a shame they offer no fruit, yogurt or pastries. Cereals are also kept in the kitchen so you don’t know what they offer. Will definitely stay again but breakfast options and presentation could be improved.

The owner and staff were great. It is an older building with great character but the bathroom was nice and modern.the premises were clean, the meals good and parking was easy.
