We had a lovely stay at The Tollgate Inn, what a lovely village to be in too. Staff were polite, accommodating and friendly. Room was sufficient, clean and comfortable for our stay. Food was excellent. Will stay again.

The room was spacious with new furniture. The bathroom was very clean. Tea and coffee were topped up daily, the bed made and the bathroom cleaned. We ate in the restaurant which served lovely well presented tasty food. There was a good choice for breakfast. We had the full english which could be changed slightly to your specific tastes. We would definitely recommend.

The Tollgate Inn was absolutely amazing! We hoped to stay at a traditional English Pub, and we got blown away 🤗 We stayed in the Cottage across the parking lot. A beautiful place with kitchen, parents bedroom, bathroom upstairs and a small yard with table and chairs. The food at the Inn was great. The atmosphere as well. We can only recommend a stay at this fantastic place. As others write, yeah - there is sometimes noise from the traffic, but the rest over rules that fact

Stayed here for two nights while visiting Bath. Loved the room (named "Jake") with its compact space and the layout between the room and the bathroom. You just can't get places that have character like this in the States. Ate dinner both nights in the restaurant which was very good. On both nights (weeknights) the restaurant was full. The venison pie was outstanding. Opting for something more healthy my wife and I chose the porridge with local honey the first morning and repeated the same on our second day breakfast because it is excellent. They have ample parking which was nice that we didn't have to worry about finding a spot on return when coming and going.

A very nice country pub in a great location for visiting local attractions in Bradford on Avon. Friendly welcome and nothing was too much trouble. We met friends and family for dinner and the food was good. We stayed in the annex which was clean and comfortable albeit the room was small and the single beds were quite narrow so need to check on booking if singles are required and sizes of doubles. The room was spotless and so much bigger than we expected. The modern decor and amenities were excellent. It even had a little Christmas tree which added to our Christmasy break. The staff were all friendly and welcoming.

My husband and I stayed here for its proximity to Bath. We were very pleasantly pleased by our stay at the Tollgate Inn. After a long day of driving, we walked around the beautiful neighborhood and fields. Then we had a wonderful dinner in the restaurant, followed by lively music by a band. The next morning, we had a fabulous breakfast, cooked to order. The room was clean, updated, with all of the amenities we needed. Highly recommend this Inn and would stay again. Lastly, we got a wonderful tip from one of the staff in the morning to park at the local station to take the train into Bath. That was such a clutch suggestion!

Very nice pub with lovely food and clean rooms. The only negative was that it was a warm night so we had the windows open. Our room faced the main road which at 5.30 am got a bit busy with traffic which woke us up. In Winter with the windows closed it would have been fine. The other rooms away from the Jain road would have been quieter. That aside, it was a nice pub with goo food and a lovely breakfast. We would stay again.

Paid for a comfort room but it should have been advertised as a box room. The towel rail in the bathroom didn’t work so it was extremely cold in there. The TV was unwatchable due to poor signal, which also affected my phone. The whole room just felt tired and old. I wouldn’t choose to stay there again. The bar and food however were good.

The room was very small, bathroom door was restricted opening by the bed. The pub is a lovely old building but this raised issues with condensation/damp in the bathroom. The single glazing will have contributed to the amount of traffic noise, which was unexpected given the hotels location. The bed/matress was very soft which is the main issue as due to this we had very little sleep and now have an aching back. The staff were pleasant, the place was clean the food was good.

Really lovely stay breakfast fabulous great choice we had dinner in the restaurant which was excellent food excellent value excellent service. Exceptionally cold weather our room was unfortunately cold the first night after talking to staff this was immediately rectified with extra heater and bedcover. Just the overall hospitality would entice us to stay again.

We had a lovely stay at The Tollgate Inn, what a lovely village to be in too. Staff were polite, accommodating and friendly. Room was sufficient, clean and comfortable for our stay. Food was excellent. Will stay again.

My husband and I stayed here for its proximity to Bath. We were very pleasantly pleased by our stay at the Tollgate Inn. After a long day of driving, we walked around the beautiful neighborhood and fields. Then we had a wonderful dinner in the restaurant, followed by lively music by a band. The next morning, we had a fabulous breakfast, cooked to order. The room was clean, updated, with all of the amenities we needed. Highly recommend this Inn and would stay again. Lastly, we got a wonderful tip from one of the staff in the morning to park at the local station to take the train into Bath. That was such a clutch suggestion!

Very nice pub with lovely food and clean rooms. The only negative was that it was a warm night so we had the windows open. Our room faced the main road which at 5.30 am got a bit busy with traffic which woke us up. In Winter with the windows closed it would have been fine. The other rooms away from the Jain road would have been quieter. That aside, it was a nice pub with goo food and a lovely breakfast. We would stay again.

The Tollgate Inn was absolutely amazing! We hoped to stay at a traditional English Pub, and we got blown away 🤗 We stayed in the Cottage across the parking lot. A beautiful place with kitchen, parents bedroom, bathroom upstairs and a small yard with table and chairs. The food at the Inn was great. The atmosphere as well. Stayed here for two nights while visiting Bath. Loved the room (named "Jake") with its compact space and the layout between the room and the bathroom. You just can't get places that have character like this in the States. Ate dinner both nights in the restaurant which was very good. On both nights (weeknights) the restaurant was full. The venison pie was outstanding. Opting for something more healthy my wife and I chose the porridge with local honey the first morning and repeated the same on our second day breakfast because it is excellent. They have ample parking which was nice that we didn't have to worry about finding a spot on return when coming and going.

A very nice country pub in a great location for visiting local attractions in Bradford on Avon. Friendly welcome and nothing was too much trouble. We met friends and family for dinner and the food was good. We stayed in the annex which was clean and comfortable albeit the room was small and the single beds were quite narrow so need to check on booking if singles are required and sizes of doubles. Excellent clean bathroom with good big walk in shower. It was quite with little noise from traffic. We enjoyed our one night stay and would return if visiting area again

The room was spacious with new furniture. The bathroom was very clean. Tea and coffee were topped up daily, the bed made and the bathroom cleaned. We ate in the restaurant which served lovely well presented tasty food. There was a good choice for breakfast. We had the full english which could be changed slightly to your specific tastes. We would definitely recommend.
