Excellent location at the harbour, close to Water and George Streets. Great staff. Controlled parking outside the front door. Fascinating history of the building. Very spacious and comfortable room. Continental breakfast was plentiful and provided in a comfortable lounge.

Great location on the waterfront. Ample parking (free permit from front desk). Old character warehouse and room was on the large side, large bathroom with an interesting walk-in (and walk-up!) shower. Room was a bit hot (heat wave) and air conditioning was a little weak/lacking. We tried so hard to get two beds but they were either out or it didn’t exist, which was unfortunate. Good continental breakfast.

The hotel was fine. Clean, comfortable, could use an update. I have to say it is odd that there are 4 floors but the elevator only goes as far as 3. So if you got a lot of luggage. You get off on floor 3 then have to carry your stuff up to floor 4. Very odd

LOCATION: Great location in downtown. Centrally located to walk to restaurants and many of the main sites. You can walk up to Signal Hill from this location. HOTEL: Breakfast is a continental. No gym. ROOM: Clean, spacious and with a mini fridge and coffee maker. Easy self parking at the rear of the building STAFF: They were nice. The room we had on the back of the building facing Harbour drive was a little noisy as I think the insulation and windows may lack sound proofing.

Location is excellent. This hotel is on the waterfront, just steps from the pedestrian areas of Water Street and George Street, which are full of shops and restaurants. The hotel is a historic building, full of character, but with modern amenities. We enjoyed the live music nightly in the courtyard. Breakfast was adequate - muffins, croissants, etc. Easy to get to and free parking. Rooms above the third floor are accessible by stair only. We enjoyed our 2 night stay here.

Very convenient location, huge but old style rooms. Elevator wasn't working so had to carry luggage up and down stairs. Breakfast options were not bad, not many options but basics covered. Not sure if we would choose to stay here again.

The staff were always pleasant to desl with, and the room was spacoius and clean. The breakfast options were fine for a short stay, but limited and repetative for a longer stay. Music in the courtyard is a nice idea, but not great if you're trying to get to sleep early. At least they stopped at 11pm.

Historical and unique but property needs updating. Carpets are old and therefore not clean looking. Light fixtures are old and dusty. Bathroom had no hand soap and there was a lot of dust build-up on the light fixtures. Noise level was due to activity on the street and noisy seagulls very early in the morning but there didn't seem to be any sound barriers so every noise seemed magnified. Staff was friendly and helpful.

The room was dated. dust on lampshades and around the perimeter of the room dust on the toilet paper holder there was beer left in the fridge and food under the dresser. The carpet was well worn and had tears in it and the chairs were also well worn and had tears. The picture on line looked so much nicer than the actual room. If we had not booked through Expedia we would have left after the first night.

Located downtown. Close to everything. Nice big room and very comfortable. Liked the imitation fireplace. Our room had black mold in the bathroom. Mentioned to staff at checkout and was told they would notify housekeeping. Our room had 3 big support pools two on either side of the bed and one in the bathroom 6hat we needed to navigate around. They block the view of the telly. Nice big jetted tub

I love this place for it's charm, location and uniqueness. My only complaint is they need a detailed dusting in the rooms. The corners and light fixtures have a buildup of dust. Also the tub is not bathworthy clean in my opinion.

Very well-located hotel right on the waterfront in St. John's. Many things on the plus side: has parking (BIG plus), continental breakfast included, rooms were quite large, comfortable and well-appointed, and the shower was great! On the down side: the rooms are very dark (our room had only one small narrow window) and the lighting could be seriously improved. To quibble about breakfast - it's a minimal continental breakfast (think pre-wrapped muffins, yogurt, instant oatmeal packets). However, overall it's a very atmospheric old warehouse aesthetic, and we found the Murray Premises to be very convenient and comfortable. It worked quite well for our family trip to St. John's.

The Standard Room (King) was very spacious and comfortable, and made for a lovely base of operations in St. John's. The historical character of the building is so unique and refreshing in a day of dull corporate hotels that aim to maximize space and efficiency, but have zero charm.

Very charming, well located historic hotel. Excellent service. Large room, with great amenities. Breakfast was simple - yogurt, fresh muffins, fruit, instant oatmeal. Room could benefit from improved lighting (only one ceiling light at the door - the remaining light was floor or table lamps). TV lost connection constantly - perhaps it was the channel we chose? Overall, great value for a centrally located stay. Very pleased.

Old and in disrepair. Had to carry all of our luggage up three flights due to broken elevator. Without any assistance being offered for our six pieces of luggage. Bath was on a raised platform and extremely high and hard to get into. Rooms are very dark and bed was uncomfortable. The noise from other rooms and the traffic kept us up most of the night. We have been in several boutique hotels and the Murray Premises is no where near that category. We will never repeat.

Very nice looking hotel with interesting history. Our room was very nice and quite unusual. The issue is with the desk staff who told us our room was just down the hall and up the elevator. It was down the hall, up the elevator, then two separate flights of stairs. We needed a Sherpa to help find our room the first time. Very unhelpful staff

The staff was very friendly and helpful! I had hoped for an early check in and they were able to accommodate which was a bonus. Hotel is a bit dated but charming and rooms are spacious and very comfortable. Ideal location with lots of restaurants, pubs and shopping within walking distance. Would definitely recommend staying here!

The staff were very helpful. We had to move rooms because of a problem with stairs. They were very accommodating and found us another room. In this room the bathroom hadn’t been properly cleaned and were offered another room but we opted to have a better cleaning done. Could use some updates to carpets, etc.

Allana, the front desk clerk was a total joy to deal with. She always made sure everything was to my satisfaction. The way she handled herself even with a disgruntled unfair and rude guest was amazing. I had to cut my intended stay short but I will certainly return. Thank you so much

Unique restored historic buildings with a nice courtyard area bordering on Water Street so an excellent location. Rooms have sloped ceilings and ours on the 4th floor was quite dark, despite 2 windows. View towards Signal Hill was nice though. Also the elevator only goes to the 3rd floor so you have to take stairs to the 4th floor which might not be convenient for all. Pillows need to be replaced. But continental breakfast was nice and we did enjoy our stay.
