Stayed 1 night at this hotel and it was ok. The hotel itself is well laid out with a large lobby that includes a self serve convenience store (you pick your items and self check out and pay for them). We didn't use this but they definitely had a decent selection of items from beer, wine, snacks to personal items you may need for your stay. The hotel advertises as an eco friendly hotel. They did not provide water in the room but instead had a filling station in the lobby. The shower in the room was not great. It was very hard to control the temperature and it was set so low that it was hard to actually get a consistent hot stream of water. Definitely a disappointment when travelling and doing alot of walking etc. Only 1 of the 2 elevators in the building was working so this made for long waits, especially first thing in the morning. The hotel is located about a 40 min walk from downtown Amsterdam, so would not say that it is convenient for walking (but we knew that when we booked).

This is a great hotel, nice and modern. All the staff were lovely and helpful, check in and out was easy. Hotel was spotlessly clean, the bedrooms and bathrooms were very spacious, the fridge and safe were an added bonus. Loved the little window seat. Great secure parking, which we pre booked. Breakfast was lovely and not busy. Lots of nice fresh food to choose from. Good location, it's a 5 minute walk to the metro and a 10 minute ride into Amsterdam. You can buy your tickets at the hotel. There's also a little supermarket, (Jumbo) and a McDonald's 5 minute walk away. We'd definitely recommend this hotel and would stay again.

Modern, clean rooms and friendly personnel. Located close to Amstelstation from where the city centre can be reached via several metro lines in 10 minutes. Train and tram connections are available as well. Nice café and restaurant and a little snack and drinks shop are in the lobby too.

Nice hotel with spacious rooms. Said to have a rooftop. Stayed 4 nights and it was closed every day even though it was sunny and 22 degrees. Also chromecast didn’t work. Great service though and would stay again.

Ein wirklich schönes und modernes Hotel in angenehmer Entfernung zum Zentrum. Die Ubahn Station ist ca 5 Min zu Fuss entfernt. Im Hotel gibt es neben der Möglichkeit eines Frühstücks auch ein Cafe und ein Restaurant. Weiters kann man sich Snacks in Selbstbedienung kaufen

Reception staff were amazing but room wasn't very clean. Great location in Amstel where you can get train, tram or metro into central in 15 mins or so, not far from schipol either and felt safe around the area in the evenings as a pair of women in our 20's. Good for the money and location, and shoutout again to the friendly reception staff. In terms of the cleanliness mentioned though, hairs all around and in the sink as well as the bed. No working shower gel dispenser. Requested house keeping who came and remade the bed but didn't appear to clean the bathroom, despite me putting a note on the request.

Spacious and bright room. The location isn’t central, but it’s not far from the Amsterdam RAI Convention Centre — easily reachable by bike or by train in about 15 minutes. The breakfast was excellent. The bathroom was modern and well-equipped, although it would have been nicer to have a few more amenities, such as a toiletry kit. Room cleaning service was only available upon request. Honestly, for €350 per night, you’d expect not to have to book it every morning... Overall, though, it was a pleasant stay for a business trip, as in my case

We had 2 rooms and both were very clean, with a comfortable bed and pillows and was very quiet - we slept really well. Shower was good. The metro and tram were a short walk with metro to central very quick. There is a free bag store if have a late flight. They have rental bikes and umbrellas (4EUR for 48 hours). Lidl close by for any essentials. Friendly staff.

The property was fine, the bed was comfortable but the bathroom was not very clean, especially in the sink it was quite gross. We also had trouble sleeping the second night as there was a very annoying wind tunnel sound that was happening all night long. We don’t know where it was coming from, we suspect the shower drain or the small fan above the shower. Staff were very friendly though and check-in/out was very easy.

Although our stay was comfortable, we liked the fact that we could request cleaning when required however one day when requested we never got any cleaning or towels and another day when asked for towels and no cleaning we received new bed linen and no towel’s!!!!

Unfortunately our stay wasn’t the greatest. We left to go explore the city from 8am and requested to get the room cleaned in person. We came back in the afternoon around 3pm and it still hadn’t been done. The women/cleaner on our floor was still finishing off the rooms. We left to give it another hour and it still hadn’t been done. I was curious so I asked her if she was doing our room as she was directly across and she proceeded to tell me she didn’t know and that she doesn’t actually work there. I rang reception they said they were a bit behind time and would be done by 6pm. We went out for dinner and, came back and it still hadn’t been done. I rang reception again, they said they would send someone up. At this point all we requested was fresh towels instead of fresh linen and other amenities for the room as we were low. No one came up. So I went down to reception and had to ask in person. House keeping was still onsite and reception said they would send them to the room right now. When I met house keeping at the door they just looked at me and were very unprofessional. One was on the phone. They weren’t sure what to do so I had to direct them. Some of the staff throughout our stay were lovely and helpful however this situation put me off and I will not be booking to stay here again.

Enjoyed my stay at Hotel Casa Amsterdam, as it is very close to Amstel Station which connects you to the whole city and the intercity train network. The rooms are small but well maintained, and the bathroom/shower facilities were in great condition. While perhaps obvious, it should be noted that the hotel rooms do NOT have air conditioning. This is not particularly clear from the Expedia listing. Given that it was quite warm, and we were on the 9th floor, we did find it a little hot and humid. The supplied fan was helpful, but it was a bit of an unfortunate surprise when we realized upon check-in that there was no A/C. All in all, I would stay there again and recommend the location in Amsterdam Oost.

Hotel is very clean, modern and updated. Close enough to a metro stop that we used daily. We did not have time to utilize the rooftop though. The hotel is run almost entirely by students so that was a unique feature. We got a king room and it was in a corner so double windows was nice. Good size room. Comes with a safe and minifridge. The building is temperature controlled so you do not have access to adjusting the heat or a/c much. You do have a fan though which is not bad. Only issue we had with the room was with the shower. There's not much of a ledge or barrier at the bottom so water would seep out into the bathroom and into the carpet room. We did address this in our stay. We also got 2x free drinks through Expedia VIP access but it can only be used in the restaurant during the open times so keep that in mind. Otherwise it was a pleasant and unique experience.

We were in a room with a door to the next room. The door isn’t well insulated. The guests next door must have been an elderly couple who were hard of hearing. They spoke on their speaker phone and we were able to hear the whole conversation. Plus they watched television at a high volume late into the night. We heard everything. It was hard for us to sleep.

Spacious rooms with 2 individual beds, cupboard which had hanging space + shelves. Neat and clean bathroom with towels , soaps, hair dryer provided. The room did not have an AC , rather an intelligent bio cooling system which surprisingly worked well in August summers. Overall a good and comfortable stay that does care for environmental impact.

This was a great place to stay. Our room was quiet and clean, staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel was an easy walk to the metro. The restaurant was good. My only concern would be staying in the Summer. We could only change our heat by1.5 degrees and open a small window (plus use a provided fan). It was a little warm for us a couple of nights.

The room was spacious with big windows overlooking the canal. The room was clean and really confortable. The hotel is not in the city center, but conveniently located near a metro/train/tram station. The staff was friendly. The hotel has a really great vibe, with sofas and chairs in the lobby, and a cafe on the ground floor. I would book this hotel again.

Hotel Casa is a lovely hotel. Check-in was done online before I arrived. Reception staff were warm and friendly. The lobby had an internet cafe vibe about it. The restaurant/ cafe looked nice although I did not use them> My room was nice and spacious. I had a comfortable sleep as it was quiet with blackout curtains too. The fridge in my room came in handy and they have a fountain for topping up your water bottle in reception. The location was perfect for me. It's out of the way from the centre but you can get there by Metro within 25 minutes. There a few good restaurants within walking distance, some further away from others. However, I was expecting more in the vicinity. Amstel Station and a large supermarket are just over 5 minutes walk away. The hotel was good value in comparison to other hotels during the weekend I stayed Overall, I definitely come back and would recommend if you want to stay outside the centre of Amsterdam.

As a Dutch-speaker it seems odd to make this comment in English, but it irritates me that in my own country (language Dutch) in this hotel I'm constantly addressed in English. Speaking Dutch one woman at reception completely ignored this and rudely continued in English. I understand it is an international hotel and staff is difficult to get, but this really bothered me. English very much seems to be the language of the hotel.

I would stay here over and over, this was our second trip to Amsterdam and we tried 2 hotels during our first trip but nothing beats Casa. It really feels like a home away from home. The area it’s in is pretty quiet but it safe and close to the metro allowing you to get to Centraal easily. There’s a cafe in the lobby as well as a small convenience store with self check out.

The property is beautiful, the staff very friendly and it's only 3 blocks from the train station, but it was noisy at night because the guests of the hotel drink right outside the door and the rooms that face that side of the street are right above all the noise. We told the hotel about it but the noise persevered. They did give us a free dinner for the trouble which we appreciated.

I had the most amazing service from the front desk this morning. I left my passport in the room and left for the airport. I called on my way back to the hotel and a clerk remembered me from checkout and was waiting with key in hand when I returned. I couldn’t be happier with her great attitude and her help. She’s a young Asian girl with a can-do mindset. Amazing!!

Hotel and room were clean and well provisioned. Lots of space in our room for luggage and the wardrobe is nice. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Friendly and helpful staff. My only complaint is with their registration system-- we were checked in, got our room key, and went to the room. Unlocked the door with the room key, but there was already someone staying there with luggage and everything! Said "excuse us" and went back to front desk. The staff apologized and gave us a new room key and new room assignment. We went to the new room and it was unoccupied (phew), and we settled in to rest. About an hour later, another guest came into our room, just like what we had done earlier! They quickly left. We rested again, but then the housekeeping service knocked and said they were supposed to clean the room, even though we had gotten there just an hour ago. Finally, we went back to the front desk again, and they correctly resolved the issue. They had initially registered us under the wrong room. It was very confusing and a hassle. I hope they can fix this issue in the future. Other than that, the hotel is very nice and clean, and I enjoyed staying there.

This was an excellent place to stay at, and if i get the chance to visit Amsterdam again, I will seek this place again. From the very beginning, the staff was extremely friendly. They speak multiple languages and are willing to answer any relevant questions. The hotel is spacious, very clean, and very pleasant. Around the check in area, there is a built in convenience store with drinks, electronics, travel essentials, etc. Also connected to this, is the hotel's restaurant. The prices are fair and the food is beyond delicious. I cannot say anything but extremely good words about this place. Thank you to the entire staff.

Enjoyed my stay at Hotel Casa Amsterdam, as it is very close to Amstel Station which connects you to the whole city and the intercity train network. The rooms are small but well maintained, and the bathroom/shower facilities were in great condition. While perhaps obvious, it should be noted that the hotel rooms do NOT have air conditioning. This is not particularly clear from the Expedia listing. Given that it was quite warm, and we were on the 9th floor, we did find it a little hot and humid. The supplied fan was helpful, but it was a bit of an unfortunate surprise when we realized upon check-in that there was no A/C. All in all, I would stay there again and recommend the location in Amsterdam Oost.

We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. It is reasonably priced but really good condition and very clean with comfortable beds. The hotel is close to tram stops and also a railway station so it was very easy to visit the city centre. The only comment we would make is that the rooms don’t have air con (because of the hotel’s sustainability initiatives) which meant that our room was quite warm during our stay in May. Overall a great stay.

Schöne moderne und saubere Zimmer Leider war es sehr heiß, so dass die Zimmer extrem warm waren. Es gibt keine Klimaanlage die man selber steuern kann. This hotel is a short walk to the trams that will take you anywhere in the Amsterdam area; about a 30-45 minute ride to the central station area. The hotel was a pleasant surprise and one of the nicest ones we’ve stayed in. It has a very nice cafe area on the main floor and a roof top restaurant on deck 8 that had the best loaded nachos and sweet potato fries ever! Lots of young faces as the hotel was founded in the 50s to help the student housing shortage. Rooms now open to visiting guests and we loved our stay here.

I liked how the river was a 2 minute walk from the hotel so we could sit outside without being miles away. Also Amstel train station is a 5 min walk and you can get lots of metros or trains to the central. The hotel had a little kiosk downstairs so you could buy food or drink, but the restaurant was closed which was a shame as we had to leave the hotel to eat. The hotel is also a student home but you couldn’t tell, no noise or loud students. Would recommend again.

Great place, quiet. I’ll note our room 537, the door squeaked loudly and so did the pipes when you turned on water in bathroom sink. I wish there was a towel holder up higher and shower wasn’t so slippery but it’s a great place to stay.
