This hotel is only one floor (6th floor). Staff was great and helpful but we found tha Taiwanese people as a whole do not open up much and so other than the staff, expect short answers without a smile.

The hotel has a very good location, right in the main shopping area and about a 20-minute walk from Taipei Station. The downside of this central location is that the hotel occupies only one floor of a commercial building with shops, gaming venues, and cafés, allowing free public access to the hotel floor, which felt a bit concerning since the front desk does not monitor who comes and goes. There is no breakfast, although free coffee and water are available at reception, along with a useful luggage scale, but the room felt old and somewhat dirty, and the thin walls made it easy to hear neighbors.
