Great find! Plenty of free parking. Smooth check in. Very nice decor. All staff very friendly and efficient. Room a decent size, quiet and comfy. Good shower. Superb breakfast! All this at a very reasonable price! I'd happily recommend and will book again next time I'm in business in Newcastle under Lyme.

Very nice room. Well maintained and clean. All the staff were friendly and helpful, my daughter and family came for dinner, a little disappointed with these, my rump,steak wasn’t the best with a huge rim of fat on one piece (the steak came as two small steaks) this left very little edible meat on that one. the chips were to me over cooked but my daughter thought the opposite so I wouldn’t be too negative with that. A nice place to stay if you’re visiting the area. Golf course is right on the doorstep if your inclined 👍

The staff were lovely, the bar area had some lovely features. The bed/bedding was lovely. However, a little disappointed as the central heating in the bedroom didn't work. There was a small heater provided, but the bathroom was cold as the heated towel rail didn't work. The hot water was scalding. No mirror in the bedroom.IT was a shame, because on the whole, I really liked the place.

Room was nicely furnished super comfy bed only down was the en-suite bathroom mould and mildew on ceiling extractor not sufficient but was dusty and smelt slightly damp . Floor around base of sink not clean and toilet seat was not big enough for the toilet bowl . Has a meal which was good and reasonably priced and had the full English breakfast very plentiful too large for myself but was good coffee nice. Had a nice stay .

Excellent value for money , if anything it was to cheap . I’ve stopped in a lot worse hotels and paid more money . I will definitely will stay again and have a round of golf next door . Just unfortunate that they do not do food on a Monday but the breakfast was good .

The room needs a little T L C, they had to come and clean the shower/bath area and the decor needs attention,although I couldn’t fault to English breakfast there was no fruit, yogurt or cereal, I was told there was no call for them, which I found strange

stayed 1 night passing through on long trip shower cubical was in need of a deep clean and reseal wasnt the room we had booked but it did for the night staff we encountered were friendly and helpful breakfast was included in price and set us up for the nxt leg of our trip

Quaint pub with good dining options and plenty of space. Room was a little dated and could do with some TLC but the staff were fabulous, very accommodating and friendly. Would recommend this place to stay and eat & drink.

We enjoyed a brilliant stay here and couldn't fault anything. The room was spacious, a little dated but very comfortable especially the bed! The food was excellent and there is a good selection on the menu. All the staff were friendly and helpful. We'll definitely book again when we come back to the area.

My rating would have been higher as food and service for dinner and breakfast were excellent. Unfortunately there was a lot of noise from the room next door, banging and talking late into the night, plus some road noise, so overall this affected my rating plus wear and tear around sink in bathroom really needs attention.

Booked as I was away with work and have already booked to stay again! On arrival I was warmly welcomed by the lad on reception, who, booked me a table for dinner and then showed me to my room (offering to carry my case) where he walked me through everything, Wi-Fi, breakfast times etc. Food was great, room was spacious with a super comfy bed and everything I needed. But for me it was the staff and service that stood out, 5 star treatment, very impressed!

Lovely hotel, food was amazing. Radiators were not working when we arrived but a portable heater was provided and the bedroom radiator restored. Only complaint - no mirror in the bedroom.

This was my second visit and it confirmed my thoughts from my previous stay. Very friendly great hosts, good beer, evening meals excellent but the breakfast is worth staying for alone. It is excellent really tasty, I will be coming back.

Stay was fine when we got there we to late for food so we checked in and put are cases in the room and went out to get food. When we got back to the hotel it was all locked up and no one around I phone the number but it just went to voicemail the person did not tell us about a we needed to put luckily we worked it out in the end they need to remember to communicate this to the guests at check in

Needed an overnight stay on the way to the Lake District. This was so cheap and read it was off the M6 a bit but the reviews were fantastic. We were so impressed. Reception lady was so welcoming and showed us to our beautiful room with all singing and dancing bathroom which had a jaccuzzi bath. Paddock room with parking outside room. We were very happy it was so comfy and clean. Popped in bar for a nightcap, bar lady was so friendly and made a mean cocktail 🍹. I loved the decor really classy. Quiet nights sleep then in for the inclusive breakfast. The best eggs benedict I have ever had. It was perfect. We normally go to a Premier Inn on similar. Definitely will now try other places. Could not recommend this place, its food and staff any more. 10/10

My rating would have been higher as food and service for dinner and breakfast were excellent. Unfortunately there was a lot of noise from the room next door, banging and talking late into the night, plus some road noise, so overall this affected my rating plus wear and tear around sink in bathroom really needs attention.

second time I have used this hotel and again really clean and confortable, in a quiet location with good parking. Resteraunt and Bar really good, Evening meal and breakfast both of highest quility. Will use this hotel again.

Great, place to stay. Clean, good size room with a good overhead shower. Clean towels and a good size bed. A kettle, teas, coffee and hot chocolate it's on a busy road above a what are provided as standard and there's a good hairdryer in a draw. sounded busy pub, so don't expect complete silence. The traffic through the night did not wake me. Absolute bargain price considering the time of year. Breakfast was included in the price. I had the full English, on the first morning which hadgood size portions and a good variety on the breakfast menu. A fresh fruit and sugar waffle on the next morning. The decaf coffee was a nice and didn't come out of a sachet. I would definitely stay there again

Excellent value for money , if anything it was to cheap . I’ve stopped in a lot worse hotels and paid more money . I will definitely will stay again and have a round of golf next door . Just unfortunate that they do not do food on a Monday but the breakfast was good .

I stayed in the Tatton room. A lovely room with some nice custom furniture. I had food the steak burger (GF) which was really good. I had the full english and the chef offered me alternatives for the things I couldn't have, which I really appreciated. Lovely staff and a great venue.

Excellent breakfast, can only assume that lunch/dinner would have been just as good. Unfortunately restaurant was not open on monday along with many other places near, which was a shame. Would stay again if near hopefully not on a monday night!
