We arrived in the afternoon and were met T the door by the very friendly and helpful owner. The hotel has nice large rooms but is small and unique. Lovely home made food and an extensive bar just 8 tables in the tasteful restaurant giving a nice spcial atmosphere. All in all our syay was a relaxing one.

Staff excellent and friendly adding a great personal touch. The Room was prepared and ready with breakfast pre-ordered and the staff very accommodating. Great they have parking on site with nice toiletries and amenities.

Lovely hotel, lovely room, friendly staff. Recommend to book the three course menu (changes regularly) for dinner at the hotel. I had venison ragout and rack of lamb as main and both were superb. Dinner room is a cosy place, good wine list. Dinner was preceded by some drinks at the hotel bar which, for the size of the hotel has an excellent selection of spirits at very good value-for-money prices. You select your breakfast choices in the evening from an offer ring of various fresh juices, tea pot or cafeteria of coffee and a full English (or various alternatives). Overall we enjoyed our short stay a lot and will return if/once back in the area.

This hotel is wonderful. Rooms are beautifully decorated with everything you could need. Comfortable bed and plenty of space. We had an evening meal which was probably the best meal ever!! Breakfast was equally good. Abby who served us was a gem. Nothing but praise. Would recommend and stay again.

From the moment I walked in, I was made to feel special. Very comfortable food, excellent Broadband, some really nice touches, fresh milk, fresh fruit in room etc. I received a call in the day asking if I wanted to eat at the hotel, I had reservations spending £49 on a meal, but it was worth it. The food is of an excellent standard, breakfast just as good and would highly recommend. Next time I’m back in the area, I will come back.

We had a very enjoyable stay at Plantation House. The property is beautiful and conveniently situated for travelling into Plymouth. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and our room was very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. Would definitely recommend.

The hotel is a beautifully decorated Georgian house with all modern conveniences but still exhibiting its heritage. The room was comfortable and quiet with lovely views over fields and woodland. Both the evening meal and breakfast the next morning were delicious and of the highest standard. The staff were all friendly, polite and efficient. Overall an excellent hotel with superb food and service.

We loved the hotel, it’s a lovely independent place. All the staff were very helpful & friendly, particularly a Belgian lady (didn’t get her name) the room was possibly the best we’ve ever stayed plus the food & drinks were all fab. Highly recommended!

This is a really fabulous little hotel. I was surprised and delighted by the lovely room and the menu choices at dinner were excellent. A great breakfast, too. The staff are pleasant and helpful and nothing was too much trouble.

The room itself was immaculate and very comfortable, In the bathroom there are White Company toiletries, a choice of vanity items, and plenty of high-quality white towels. The owners have clearly paid meticulous attention to detail, ensuring a truly comfortable experience. Our breakfast the following morning was generous and thoughtfully prepared, with service that was both attentive and warm. Nothing was too much trouble, and everything was offered with a genuine smile. I highly recommend Plantation House and only regret that we couldn’t stay for a few more days.

Great place to stay. Extremely quiet and seculed. The Food magnificent. The bed was really comfortable. However the staff were Gen Z and not partiulary interested in my comments regarding maintainence. Faulty Electrical socket - risk of fire and Running cistern to W.C.

This hotel is wonderful. Rooms are beautifully decorated with everything you could need. Comfortable bed and plenty of space. We had an evening meal which was probably the best meal ever!! Breakfast was equally good. Abby who served us was a gem. Nothing but praise. Would recommend and stay again.

We had a lovely couple of nights here. Are in the restaurant one evening and had breakfast. Food was very nice, but we were surprised at the lack of vegetarian options. Thankfully I did ask for a veggie option earlier on the day. But we were rather told off for not mentioning it earlier. I think they’d do well to ask for dietary issues when you book. But overall it was lovely.

This is a really fabulous little hotel. I was surprised and delighted by the lovely room and the menu choices at dinner were excellent. A great breakfast, too. The staff are pleasant and helpful and nothing was too much trouble.

Dinner room is a cosy place, good wine list. Dinner was preceded by some drinks at the hotel bar which, for the size of the hotel has an excellent selection of spirits at very good value-for-money prices. You select your breakfast choices in the evening from an offer ring of various fresh juices, tea pot or cafeteria of coffee and a full English (or various alternatives). Overall we enjoyed our short stay a lot and will return if/once back in the area.

What a find. Fabulous small hotel with an excellent eye for detail, customer service from all the staff was above and beyond. The set menu meals were amazing. Hats off to the chef. My only gripe would have to be the milk pots in the room. A small thermos perhaps? But overall an absolutely excellent place to stay.
