Simply excellent hotel - huge amounts of staff and yet every one of them that we dealt with was helpful, engaging and professional. Spotlessly clean throughout the public areas and the rooms. Great bar and lovely food.

We had a lovely trip to the Gower and this hotel was the perfect base to explore the beautiful beaches. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. We loved the outside seating area with the pony's and sheep.

Impressed by the thoughtfulness of staff as well as the clean, modern and spacious facilities. The hotel is particularly atmospheric at Christmas, with a real tree and two log burners adding to an extremely cosy stay.

Great property for exploring the Gower region. The hotel does host weddings but this is set away from the main hotel dining area but you can hear music when you go back to your room. Wasn’t a problem for us but worth being aware of especially if travelling with children. Great hotel, would stay again.

We stopped for 3 nights during "Twixtmas". Every member of the team we met was friendly and ready to help despite a full hotel and meal servings being fully booked. Tip is to always book ahead. The room, and the general environment was spotlessly clean, and the room we had was very well insulated and warm despite the weather outside. Car parking is available for free although spaces can get full and residents have no particular privilege. Meals here were good, probably the one issue we had was being sat at a table right in the main walkway that staff used to get to the kitchen, this was not great, but done to fit in a table for 2 when most of the others were set for larger groups. Breakfast was really good, a short but flexible menu, portion sizes were generous in return. The local area is good for walking and exploring, and the scenery is stunning. Overall a tremendously good break after the Christmas rush, in a very well run and welcoming hotel.

We stayed here for 2 nights and we are going to rebook for December this year. The staff are very friendly , zoe waited on at breakfast at both mornings she went out of her way to check we were happy , full and nothing was too much trouble , such as assettto have on board . The room was clean and tidy , fresh tea and coffee daily , fresh towels daily , biscuits daily , shower gel , hand wash , powerful hairdryer , good solid walls , no noise , perfect all round

This is one of the nicest hotel we have stayed in the room was excellent cleaned every day spotless, the restaurant was also excellent great food and service. If we go to that area again we would certainly stay at the King Arthur again.

Staff excellent, food very good. The carpet was worn in the block we were in. I found both the bed, and pillows too hard for me, but they could obviously suit other people. Apart from that, overall a very nice country pub/hotel

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Cannot fault any of them. Room: Tired and in need of serious updating. Bathroom floor - cracked tiles and damaged grouting. Meals - a mixture of either very good or below average (on one occasion - dinner).

It was excellent all around apart from the very soft bed. I know this is a personal preference but, it did affect our sleep. Other than that, it was superb. The staff were all very pleasant and obliging, the room was vast and very well equipped, the food was also high recommendable. I doubt this shall be the last time we stay there.

Unglaublich freundliches Personal. Sehr gutes Frühstück und Abendessen. Man fühlt sich sofort willkommen. Zimmer sehr sauber. Einziges Kriterium unser Zimmer lag direkt über dem Pub und Eingangsbereich. Man hatte nicht wirklich Ruhe. Mit Ohropax war Schlafen dann möglich. Ansonsten würde ich diese Unterkunft absolut empfehlen.

Location for exploring Gower Peninsula is excellent. We had room 4 above the pub which was a (small) double room which was adequate for s short stay. Food was excellent and all seemed freshly cooked.

The mattress was terrible. My back is still bad 4 days later and my fiancé is still struggling now with her back. It was so bad we couldn’t go for a walk the next day that we planned. Lovely staff and great food but totally ignorant to the impact our poor night sleep had that night. My 7 year old daughter couldn’t sleep for hours too as the music was really loud directly underneath our room which went on late despite being a Sunday night. Really frustrated that they ignored our complaints about the terrible night sleep we had. Won’t be staying again.

We have a wondweful 3 days staying in King Arthur Hotel foe our trip in south Wales. The room is cleanliness and comfortable although the sound proof is a bit under expectation, luckily most of the customers are self repected. We do enjoy the meals for dinner and breakfastin the restaurant, amazing food and wine.

Lovely looking property and It was extremely busy when I arrived - good sign I thought! Later on, when I tried to get a table in the restaurant, I was advised that they had a wedding party so I would have to eat in the bar or a side room. I decided on the latter as the bar was really noisy and busy. Dinner was unspectacular but ok but the staff were so busy that it was a matter of dropping the plate and moving on. No service or care! My room was very disappointing. Small, cheerless and in need of refurbishment. The grout between the tiles on the bathroom floor was non existent and everything felt tired with no attention to comfort. Poor quality bed. Unfortunately, what I assume was the wedding party then had little disregard for anyone else staying! Shouting up and down the corridor, slamming doors and generally being ignorant towards other residents. My experience is a shame as I’m sure The King Arthur Hotel does warrant a bad review but not on this occasion.

Stayed for a night in the annex where we had an upstairs room. It was spotless, the room was a good size, as was the bathroom. Our breakfast was excellent. Freshly cooked and served by a very pleasant young American lady. Will definitely stay again

It is very rare that I give 5 star review’s but our stay at King Arthur Hotel from excellent from start to finish. Our room ( in the annex) was spacious, clean with a wonderful view of the garden. Considering the pub was extremely busy due to the Gower Show, our room was very quiet. The staff were polite & pleasant . Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay at the hotel. We were a party of 20 to start with and the staff coped admirably with all the arrangements, in particular the meal we had one evening. The staff are superb, friendly, welcoming and professional. The food is delicious with a wide choice. The location is great and nearby is the beautiful Gower coast. The room was comfortable, clean and well appointed. Housekeeping was efficient.

It was our first stay at the King Arthur although we have been visitors to the pub for many years. We were thoroughly impressed with room number 8 from the moment we entered, spacious,clean, great views over the beautifully kept gardens, great shower room and a credit to the house cleaning team. The breakfast was a delight, great choice of fruit and cereals, and a freshly cooked welsh breakfast of your choosing with locally sourced ingredients, always better than buffet style. The staff were extremely friendly and efficient,and ensured that the copious amounts of visitors both to the hotel and the famous bar and outside seating area's were well catered for. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending the King Arthur to anyone who wants to explore the near by breathtaking coastal scenery and either stay for a night or three or simply get refreshed on the great array of locally produced food and drink, brilliant place.

All round excellence. Only downside was lack of reception staff on arrival and the rest of the staff were so busy we were largely ignored for quite a while. When reception was open, it was efficient and friendly. But having a separate small office away from the main entrance is clumsy and inefficient, especially when it’s usually closed. Other than that, it couldn’t be faulted. Dining room staff top marks.

Meals here were good, probably the one issue we had was being sat at a table right in the main walkway that staff used to get to the kitchen, this was not great, but done to fit in a table for 2 when most of the others were set for larger groups. Breakfast was really good, a short but flexible menu, portion sizes were generous in return. The local area is good for walking and exploring, and the scenery is stunning. Overall a tremendously good break after the Christmas rush, in a very well run and welcoming hotel.
We stopped for 3 nights during "Twixtmas". Every member of the team we met was friendly and ready to help despite a full hotel and meal servings being fully booked. Tip is to always book ahead. The room, and the general environment was spotlessly clean, and the room we had was very well insulated and warm despite the weather outside. Staff were amazing and incredibly friendly. The check in and check out process were seamless and the breakfast was absolutely beautiful too. All the while being surrounded by gorgeous scenery and views! Thank you!

Room was clean and comfortable. Excellent shower. Environment picturesque. Access to beaches difficult if you have no car and taxis are overpriced for the distance. A hike to Oxwich bay is worth it but there is very little information offered. The hotel could make more of this. However, these are minor things . Overall, would love to stay here again .

We chose the hotel as our base for a four day visit to the Gower. The hotel and location were ideal and without exception ever interaction with the staff from reception to bar and restaurant was genuinely warm and friendly! Our room was great and the hotel grounds are lovely. All the places we wanted to visit were within easy reach. We would highly recommend the king Arthur!

It is in a lovely setting on the Gower peninsula with the moor all round. Great walking from the front door. Close to all the coastal areas for access, but a car/bikes needed.

Beautiful setting and fantastic staff. Always cheerful and really friendly. Room was above the pub itself but really quiet and relaxed. Dinner was a bit overpriced and underwhelming, but breakfast was excellent.

Lovely stay, nice welcome when we arrived, friendly staff, lovely room clean and comfortable away from the pub noise, car park has 2 car charging points just remember your cable (maybe worth having 1 on site for when someone forgets there's). Breakfast was lovely highly recommended will stay again 😁

We enjoyed a very pleasant and comfortable stay at King Arthur. The room and bathroom were a generous size and well fitted. Our dinners were of better than average quality and very acceptable breakfasts. My filet steak was as good as I have ever had. All the staff were naturally friendly and helpful. Can recommend.

There is little choice for food so you are restricted to the pub food which is below average and extremely expensive. I was told it would be 30mins for food. I had planned to watch the sunset at Rhossili. My food came out 90mins late. Fish and chips. No apologies. Do not use this property.
