The actual bar and restaurant was really nice but the rooms definitely need an update. The furniture was old and not in a vintage/good way. The cleanliness was OK but nit thorough (see pictures). Small details could also be improved e.g. have a toilet roll holder on the wall rather than having to put the toilet roll on top of the toilet. Fix the shelf in the bathroom as it is not level so can't be used. We were in room 15 and there are 2 large velux qindows. Unfortunately these had no curtains so as soon as the sun came up, we woke up. There was no hairdryer and alao, when we arrived we weren't shown how to operate any of the lights or heating. It was cold and it took a while to work out there was a main electrical switch to the room that wasn't on. We booked the superior double room so I was disappointed as I was expecting more. Saying all of that, I would definitely use the bar and restaurant but wouldn't stay there.
