Heater worked well but is old and very loud. Other than that, it was good value for money accommodation. The single bed is huge which was a great bonus and the electric blankets ensured we didn’t need to leave the loud heater on all night. The tv looks to be recently replaced but they haven’t mounted it on the wall yet, the old one is still on the wall so the new one took up a lot of the bench space and it would be better if mounted on wall for watching. Overall we liked it here for the price and would stay again.

Shower taps not working properly. Shower floor very slippery & no safety rail. Double bed in room instead of Queen as booked & confirmed. No cutlery or crockery supplied in room - had to be collected from office with no cover in inclement weather.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. *Good location: - it is in the main road, few minute from the shops by car. - the offer return transport to some local venues. *There is parking in front of your room. I think you can get everything that you need in a hotel at the Ambassador Motor inn

The bathroom tap made a screaming noise when turned on, and the shampoo and conditioner were in 2 small bottles (imagine a lipstick stick) so how was that going to do 2 adults . There is a blind which does not cover the sides of the window and at night people who walk out side can look in . The shower was a very cheap one and the toilet was so small. The TV was also very small. for the $129 we paid , we will go to another hotel in Ballarat next time

If I have to pick one thing it was the heating in the room i had. Noisy and said it was 22 degrees but certainly wasnt. The room and facilities are excellent and extremely clean. Check is was simply and easy, very friendly. Definately my go to place to stay in town.

Thoroughly clean, tidy and neat. Couldnt believe how quiet our nights stay was. Affordably priced. Great comfy warm bed. There was nothing at all to pick fault with. We certainly will stay again. It will certainly be our first choice for accommodation in Ballarat I assure you.

Although not new any more rooms had been renovated, large not cluttered. Very comfortable lounge Clean warm & cosy! Spotless large bathroom lovely hot water to iron out the kinks after a long drive

In a quiet location and room was reasonable without being great. Bed was very comfy. Cleanliness was ok but the bath / spa didn’t appeal. The water pipes and / or the exhaust fan was really loud and needs work as it made a horribly loud noise within the walls

Clean, cosy and comfortable! Accommodating owner gave us an upgrade and late checkout! His wife even popped the heater on for us before we arrived. It had everything we needed and the beds were so comfortable! 5 stars from us! Would happily recommend and stay again 😊

VERY DISAPPOINTING, OUTLAWED MOTORCYCLE GANG WERE STAYING THERE, MOTORBIKES REVING LOUDLY FROM 6:30AM, WE SHOULD OF BEEN NOTIFIED IN ADVANCED SO BOOKING COULD BE CHANGED BEFORE ARRIVING, RECEPTION WERE RUDE, AND USED CREDIT CARD WITH NO AUTHORISATION OR NOTICE. Staff were excellent! Friendly, hospitable and helpful with recommendations on places to eat and places to go with little humans. Rooms had all the basic you need and were cozy and comfortable. Located a walk away from well renown Emma's Bakery, and Forges Pizza. Bargain prices and enjoyed oir tlstay!

Right next door are a couple of options for take away type of food which was really good for us as we arrived late and it was a cold miserable night. The owner put our heater on in the room before we arrived which was a pleasant surprise for us.

The good thing was the dining options just a short walk away. The bad thing was no crockery/cutlery unless you asked (we weren't told at check in) ie no breakfast the following morning. Also the front door locked took several attempts to unlock.

We were first-time users of this facility. We were in and out, like a fidler's elbow. One night. Room was in an older block mid-1980, but suitably updated periodically. Very clean, comfortable and very quiet (at the back of the site). Good value for the money. We ate dinner at the nearby pizza establishment and it was excellent. I bought fresh milk & marsala chai tea at the adjoining Indian grocery shop which was also very good. (some milk was provided with the room - just enough for one cup of tea!). Summary: we'd be happy to stay here again. Recommended.
