I stayed for 2 nights to enjoy some peace and quiet. I loved the beautiful trees and bushes around the property, in particular the pond with the fountain. The bird chatter added to the serenity and feeling of being disconnected from city life. I loved the pool- swimming is one of my favourite ways to relax. The parking was convenient and the room was very comfortable. I had everything I needed for my visit.. The staff gave a cordial welcome. The voucher for a wine tasting next door at the cellar was lovely too where staff were friendly and helpful. A thoroughly enjoyable stay.

Really easy check in experience. We felt welcomed. Room was very large, thick black out curtains to keep the light out. A little tired maybe. The instant coffee was dreadful! The 2 coffee pods were lovely, but more would have been welcomed. The pool area is wonderful, however such wasted space in the "pool room". It would have made much more sense to have a shower and toilet so you didn't have to make the trek over, dripping with water, to your room, then have to remember the code to get back into the area. A prime location to add solar panels to the roof to improve energy efficiency.

Lovely hotel in stunning grounds. Friendly reception staff. Great to be able to hire bikes to cycle the reusking trail. Some complacency amongst the cleaning team which I believe is outsourced so it wasn’t up to the usual standards which is why I’ve marked it down. Beds were nice and comfortable though and facilities were good. A lovely pool if a little cold 😊

For the price of our stay we found it to be poor value. The accommodation is in desperate need of an update, worn and to be honest filthy. I am not sure if it was just our room but it was not clean, dead flies and dust everywhere, mould and hair ridden bathroom. Customer service isn’t existent, other than check in you don’t see staff, they don’t answer the phone when you call reception. The pool, despite the photos is dirty and very uninviting.

Easy access from our parking. Lovely ambiance, great to be able to sit out and listen to the birds and have green grass at the back door. Room very comfortable and clean, had everything we needed, even to eat our own food in the room had plates cutlery, coffee machine. Loved the spa.

Great relaxing location with well maintained gardens and ground and a great pool. The rooms were large and spacious and the bathroom had a spa tub. Overall this was a very special two day break and highly recommend this hotel.

I had my 40th celebration in the area and stayed with a friend for the night in room 1. It is a fabulous room, rated it as i have die to hygeine and cleanliness - there were stains on a pillow and bedding. Staff were friendly and it was overall a pretty good stay thank you.

Spacious and clean room. Housekeeping didn’t restore coffee and wine from minibar after first night. Bathroom was below standard for a four star property. Bird noise in early morning made it difficult to sleep.

Clean, spacious but not offering the typical motel ammenities ( though spa bath in Deluxe rm was good). Rather dated with noisy aircon. Dark rm in winter but surrounds outside were spectacular and complimentary wine tasting, well worth the stay.

Spacious rooms overlooking a nice green area. Geese waddling around (so drive slowly). Big bathroom with a corner spa, and car parking right at the door. Nice and quiet and just a short walk into the Main Street of McLaren Vale.

Bathroom decor is becoming a little dated. Hold hear the neighbours at times. Heater also had to work overtime to heat the room. Overall it was spacious and very clean and tidy. I would happily return.

Rooms very large and spacious, King size bed, large bathroom, outside seating overlooking the extensive grounds and big River Red Gums, well set up swimming pool area. This place was as good as any place I've ever stayed at. Price also was very reasonable. Location in South Australia's McLaren Vale region is exquisite.

The staff were very welcoming. The room as expected is "motel style" with parking at the door. The room itself was clean and reasonable in size. The king bed was very comfortable. We had lunch in the restaurant and it was truly excellent. We were also granted a complementary wine tasting voucher for two. We will stay there again.

We had 2 rooms booked - our room was ready at 12n. Our friends tried to contact the AH service for instructions on getting into their room and when no-one was responding, we ended up taking our friends into our room to share the Sofa Bed. they were refunded and a credit voucher offered but nothing was offered to my husband and I for the inconvenience.

It was lovely to be close to the main street and Serafino itself is beautiful. The reception was not so friendly and a bit awkward. Made us feel a little uncomfortable. The lady hosting the wine tasting was beautiful and friendly and very knowledgable. The cockatoos were super noisy at night and early morning. If you want a sleep in, you will not get it here. Not Serafino's fault obviously . Just a warning for others that may want peace and quiet.

We had an excellent stay at Serafino- we had a little hiccup on checkin that was remedied professionally, what amazing customer care! Thank you Maria Maglieri and the Serafino team. We would gladly stay here again! It’s a great location, quiet, comfortable , clean , in the heart of where you want to be!

This may need to be upgraded to five star but will have to wait until the next time we stay there as this trip was essentially just a sleepover as we did nothing but sleep overnight. We did however manage to lock ourselves out of our room within 5 minutes. The staff were wonderful during check-in and just as wonderful getting our door reopened. While the room was basic everything was clean and comfortable. Looking forward to our next stay.

Mother in law passed that morning but would not consider on compassionate reasons our cancellation or allow us to change the date. Blame Expedia as a 3rd party platform but I am sure they got paid.

We stayed one night. The room was large with a nice outlook onto a green area with shady trees. Staff were friendly and check in and out were easy. The hotel is an easy walk up the hill to the main street, and is adjacent to the Shiraz trail (a repurposed rail line) which leads to cellar doors on McMurties Road, or in the other direction to the town centre.

Serafino was a comfortable option for our overnight stay in Mclaren Vale. The room was large and the bed was huge and comfortable. The motel style room was clean and in good condition, however a small kitchenette with a microwave would have been handy. The restaurant was not open the night we were there and Serafino is a little out of town, so we walked 20 minutes to a restaurant in the evening.

Very good restaurant with excellent service staff, excellent meal too. Very nice property with pool. Rooms are dated though and in need of new paint. Staff at front desk were very nice and helpful. It was nice you could rent bikes from the hotel to travel around town. Overall good value for the money.

The wine tasting was a little disappointing when we realised the wines we were tasting and bought are available from bottle shops and cheaper. I have a feeling that when the tasting is complimentary because you are a hotel guest, they don't bring out the more exclusive wines. The reason you go to a cellar door is to taste wine that you can't buy at Dan Murphys. Apart from that we enjoyed our stay,

Great location in lovely garden surrounds and close to any number of wineries for some keen sampling. The room was spacious and very clean although the bathroom was a bit dated and the shower-over-bath wouldn't suit everyone. Disappointingly we were rushed through a tasting even though there was still 15 minutes to "closing time" and we were guests at the facility??
