Gateway International Motel

The lift was not working, and we stayed at the second floor. The light was not working so we had to go down the stairs with our phone's flashlight. The facilities were dated but enough to use; kitchen stovetop and bathroom shower were rusted. The motel only provided 1-day supply of hair shampoo and soap, so have to use sparingly if you don't bring toiletries and are staying for more than a day. Receptionist was polite, and let us view the room before paying. Location is good, near to Rotorua's attractions + restaurants at walking distance.

You get what you pay for. Noisy, no AC, poor lighting but good location

The staff were courteous and bed was comfortable. The motel was probably very nice 30 odd years ago however it is very tired and old now. There was rubbish under a bed and behind the fridge, there was mould around the joinery, water stains on the ceilings and down the walls from leaks.

The room was a dump…all appliances were terribly worn and dirty…floss stick from previous guest still on sink…
