I really appreciated the underground HEATED parking garage. It was really cold and windy so it made getting our stuff out and into the hotel very enjoyable. And getting into our nice warm truck for the ride home the next day was awesome.

It was dark and dingy. No lights on outside. It looked closed when we pulled up. The pool was shut down and the website had no mention of that and the guy working said it was planned maintenance. You would think they would let people know that before booking. We ended up canceling and goin to a different hotel with a pool.

The staff were very friendly and we really appreciated the shuttle to Mayo Clinic during our stay. Was a little frustrating there was a blizzard and we were unable to use the indoor garage. We tried to use it but the door wasn't working.

The elevator was broken, we were placed on the 3rd floor even though my wife has medical issues (in town for Mayo visit). Hot tub was out of service, fan in the bathroom didnt work, coffee machine in room was filled with mold so didnt use it, ice machine on our floor didnt work. NOT IMPRESSED.

Upon arriving everything looked clean and nice. However our room was dirty and run down. There was stuff on our carpet, cereal and hair on the bathroom floor, as well as a build up of dust and debris behind the door, and the floor space between our bed and night stand had a build up of dust and debris. There was also a bug hanging out on one of our beds. Thankfully we didnt get bites or anything, but i had a hard time sleeping not knowing what kind of bug it was. Our shades had worn holes in them and when the ac kicked on ot filled the room with a musky smell. The continental breakfast was great though. Even the coffee was good.

This room was reserved with the strict request that it be ADA compliant. However, the walk-in shower and toilet were not adequate for my handicapped aunt. She could not get her walker through the walk-in shower door and the toilet was not a high rise toilet. Also, the room and the hotel property as a whole was quite dirty. I would not recommend this hotel for any handicapped person.

The room was a little loud seeing it was facing a highway with exits from both sides so trucks used their engines to brake slowing down off the highway.

Our room was very nice, spacious, comfortable. I couldn’t get the coffee maker to work but the coffee downstairs was excellent. We had to leave before breakfast was ready so can’t comment any more on that. Staff was great. Being close to the hospital it’s not exactly a quiet area, but I expected worse so was pleasantly relieved. Free and ample parking was very nice!

My children and I were in town for a concert and we couldn’t camp another night; I called early in the morning and asked if there were any rooms that we could check into right away because we had barely slept, the woman at the front desk that day was absolutely wonderful, she waited on the phone with me to make sure my reservation came through and she assigned us a room that we could check into early. 10/10 Will definitely be back.

There are 3 Holiday Inn Express Hotels in Rochester. This property is the one closest to the Mayo Clinic St Mary's Campus. If you are in town to visit Mayo Clinic, this is a wonderful location. We have previously stayed at a different HIE on the far South Side of town. This location is heads and shoulders better in every way than the south location. Better condition of the property, better service, better location. It is only 2 blocks from Mayo Clinic's St Mary's entrance. There are also grocery, pharmacy and restaurants within easy walking distance (meaning within a couple hundred yards). There is also a shuttle that takes you to either Mayo campus directly from the hotel lobby. The only negatives: 1. This location does not have the little food store most Holiday Inn Express' have. 2. The rooms have very few electric outlets

The fact that this hotel was within walking distance to the hospital was excellent. The breakfast, though, left a lot to be desired. It would’ve been just easier to walk two blocks to McDonald’s and would’ve been tastier.

Expensive for a standard looking room. A/C unit was loud in an unusual way. TV was small. We could here the footsteps in the room on the floor above us. As this is a newer hotel, I thought the rooms would be soundproofed better, especially for the price. I was wrong. Staff, breakfast, and parking were all standard and went smoothly.

I booked for 5,my daughter had surgery at ST.Marys hospital.Doctors said 5 to 7 days.She had surgery on the 9th her husband was there until Wednesday and I came down on Thursday again they said 5 days at that point so I booked 5 days and she was released on Friday and I still had to pay for the entire 5 days.That’s ridiculous
